Congratulations on the girl, Jo! I'm having a rescan to check mine's foot on Friday, I'm not too worried either , I just see it as an extra chance to see her.

I reckon i'm one of the older ones on here, I'm 34.

Midwife went okay, nothing remarkable, BP is slightly higher, apparently still lower than average but it's within the normal range. Better slightly low than slightly high. My fundal height is bang on the 50th centile.

Mellie, I'm at a wedding on the 5th of November! I told the bride to be if she annoys me between now and then I will make my waters break just as they say 'do you know of any just cause or impediment?' and shout out that it's her husband to be's! Hehe.

I had to grow up quick so I'm not one of the usual 20 year olds you see! All my friends are in uni or going out at weekend and here I am married with 2 baby's and playing the little housewife haha! Everyone is usually a little stunned when I tell them my age haha.

Kaa I'm booked for a 28 week one as well at the hospital so no idea what they are doing.. Can't complain if I get to hear baby's heartbeat and check he's okay :-)

Congratulations Jo!! Lovely photo :-)

Nicejuicypear glad midwife went okay!

Got a little worried tonight.. I showed hubby a photo of my bump at 40 weeks with Myah and he told me I look the exact same now! Keep thinking Pjs gonna be a big boy and then I worry he will have problems with his head at birth like myah did :-(

Well today is scan day for my baby's heart, can't sleep to worried I so hope everything is going to be ok.
NJP - I think maybe I am the oldest at 39 with my first baby, Hope your scan go's ok on Friday x

Great news congratulations on baby girl :)

Katie thats odd but they sound like they look after u so thats good :)
Dont worry about the bump they say u show more and sooner with second baby so u might be bigger now but then not grow that much later on.

Ah see im 28 but most girls on pf i spoken to are younger than me and apparently ur classed as an "old" mum from 25 onwards. :-/ cheeky devils!! Think for us it was a case of hubby has been waiting a long time to become a dad and wants as long as possible with his children so lets not wait any longer no matter where in life we are. Like i dont have a job after today but at least i finished uni got my degree and passed my nqt year. Lifes too short to put a family on hold for money reasons coz everytime we planned it we said we coukd never afford it but would always see these ppl with less than us managing to have babies so just thought sod it were ready lets give it a go! Haha xx

Good luck today huni xxx

My best friend had her son at 17, and my OHs sister had hers at 16. They both raised them on their own and they're some of the best mothers I know. Too many people judge.

I'm 25, for me its just the right age. I've been to uni, been travelling and now its onto the next chapter :) had plenty of people tell me I'm too young though, just because they weren't ready to have children at my age.

Congratulations on the little girl Jo, think we're still about 50/50 boy/girl wise aren't we?
Good luck with your scan toffeegirl, fingers crossed its nothing but its best to be safe.

Thing that gets me mellie is how much the world has changed because years ago if you werent married with at least 1 child by 25 u would probably be written off!! My mum had me at 18 and i would have had a child by now if it hadnt been a chemical preg at 23.
The only thing i dont like is women or girls having babies to get benefits/houses etc. Xx

My OHs mom didn't have him until she was 30 and she was medically classed as high risk because of how old she was!

Annoys me about the housing and benefits too. If I wasn't with ny boyfriend I would be so much better off! Actually had one person tell me to pretend to split up with him for a while so I can get a council house! Yes the rent would be considerably cheaper but pretending to break up with him is a tad extreme if you ask me.

Heres my bump pictures...there not very good, shots, I have no idea how you girls take such clear photos.

jojo congratulations on team pink! I had just below average leg measurements on my scan (my Oh is 6ft 4) so I donna what happened there... ever since I have been drinking a glass of milk a day as its 'meant' to make babies taller! so whether it works or not try drinking a glass of milk!

Thanks girls. Im super excited!! I havent stopped smiling since yesterday!

I've always been told im too old for my age, but still everyone expected me to be the last one to get pregnant lol. It was an accident but my god the best accident I have ever made :bump:
I also really wish I had a big bump, or too atleast look somewhat more pregnant than I do, I feel like im not really experiencing it because it's so easy lol
Can't drink milk, I have severe exzema (or did) that was flared by milk so I have to stay well away! :p

again thanks girls xx

Congrats on the girl Jo :D

Got my 25 week midwife appointment in an hour. I remembered they would be listening to baby's heartbeat and got excited 'til I remembered that, duh, I have a doppler, I can listen whenever I want! I just don't because the baby doesn't like it lol.

25 week appointment...

Told her I no longer wish to see consultants, she didn't seem happy... And it seemed as though she was shocked I even questioned whether I needed to see them rather than just going along with whatever they said I needed!
I was told (again) it was up to the consultant if I was "allowed" a home birth (ha... kept quiet about how I AM having a home birth no matter what they say!) I was going to just cancel the next consultant appointment but she advised I go and ask to be transferred back to midwife care because I don't need their appointments as I'm under a psychiatrist. Basically to play nice instead of just cancelling the appointment...

Also she kept asking "have you not had a look around the delivery suite and their birthing pools?" and then trying to scare me by saying "a third of first time mums need interventions for birth such as forceps or ventuose."

Need?! More like are tricked into them because they don't realise that it's their choice. Does that mean 1/3 of first time mums would simple die in childbirth if it wasn't for the magical forceps?

Good on you, its not like women did it at home for millions of years before we had hospitald haha.
If thats what you feel comfortable sure they should just respect your wishes and looked at the positives of having a bome birth. The last thing you want is someone whos going to make you nervous about labour.

Apple theres nothing wrong with ur bump at all. U look very slim so in my experience it shows more. My sil was huge at like 16 weeks coz she so skinny.

Well good for u babyphoenix!!

Finished work officially now for 12 months :) and relax!! Hehe!! Xxx

Oh thanks Kaa... I really feel crap about it, i know everyones different. I was a size 10 at xmas (always have had a big bum and short so that doesnt help my side profile) now Im a 14... oh hummmm

Do get seats on the bus and train now so every cloud and all that! ;-)
