*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Thanks girls. Yes she has always been after everything of my Nan's.. The family sold my Nan's house a few year ago so my uncle took charge and put it at a solicitors to stop her getting her hands on it.. She wasn't to pleased by it and funnily enough now that she can't get to any of my Nan's money she doesn't drive a car now! She doesn't like me or my husband so at any opportunity she try's to accuse me off taking something from my nan.. Like I said to hubby I have 2 of my own wedding rings, laptops etc so if I wanted the money id sell my own stuff not go and take my Nan's ring! All these arguments won't stop until my nan passes unfortunately and even then she will be a total bitch with the funeral! She took our contact details of the carers form if anything happened to my nan and when the stroke happened nobody could get hold of her! Were the only ones who are close enough to get to the hospital if anything was to happen! Her own kids don't even wanna see her! Tired of family feuds! I had all the crap with my mums side of the family and can't be bothered getting stressed and putting me and baby at risk - half of the family haven't even seen my nan since Christmas and now suddenly want to be in the picture xx

Mellie at my 20 week scan I couldn't feel all of baby's movements which felt very weird when I could see him moving! I've known people with anterior placenta to feel baby around 24-25 weeks. When you do start to feel baby there's an app you can download called count the kicks to help you know if your getting the right amount of movements xx

I hope your nan has made some sort of will or something to try and stop arguments if she does pass. Cant believe some people can be so selfish about their own mother.

I can feel baby at the moment but only really low down, as I assume my placenta is higher up. Either that or I keep imagining movement!

Kaa, the literature I got says that around either 24 or 26 weeks is when we should be monitoring how regularly they kick and if there's any unusual periods of inactivity to get in touch. So before then, I presume irregularity is fine because they can be moving but not able to be felt. Do you have another appointment with your midwife before then when you can ask?

Mine has had a wriggly few days, not painful kicks yet, just lots of little kicks and stronger flutters. Yesterday when I woke up my bump was lopsided. I lay on my back and there was a hard lump on my right and a soft squishy space on my left where all the kicks were happening. I think it must have been the head sticking out on the right. It soon moved once I got up but I was amused, first time I've noticed my bump being askew.

I have been STARVING this week. I think it must be having a growth spurt because I've been eating according to what I feel I need and for a good few weeks that has been slightly less than usual. But this week has been full portions of everything and then some. I've been constantly buying cake too, completely obsessed with cake. I don't bake but one day I even came home with a cake tin, I was feeling that obsessed with it, haha!

Njp thanks for that hun. I will need to book my 25 week appt in week or so but I am a bit annoyed at waiting that long to discuss scan info especially anterior placenta if it wasn't for looking it up when Mellie mentioned hers I'd not have known what it meant n could have got really worried!!

I need to ring up anyway coz I need my mat b1 form to send off before school finishes for summer.
Are you still entitled to smp if ur not returning to work afterwards??? Need to check this as someone made a comment about it that worried me but sure I be fine or payroll would have said otherwise surely?!

Ooh cake that's all I've wanted for weeks sponge cake birthday cake cake cake cake!!!! Xx

Have you not had a 20 week appointment with your midwife? I've got my scan on Thursday and then seeing my midwife on Tuesday. She said we'll book it after your scan so we can discuss anything if we need to.

Ive checked about smp, as im not returning. As long as your company only gives you the standard pay then you don't have to pay anything back. If you get more than what the government says youre entitled to then normally you have to pay back the extra money.

Thats a shame that there no will, sounds like it may cause trouble if she does pass then.

I had a meeting about my smp with the business manager and she said she'd double checked everything through acas to make sure I got all my entitlement & I'm definitely getting my smp. It'll kick in immediately from Sept 1st, for 39 weeks.

September 1st is a nice date for it to start. Not too early, think I'll only last a few weeks longer.

I feel massive and super pregnant today. Everyone at work is saying im bigger than the other pregnant girl.....and she's 4 weeks ahead of me. So think it's making me a bit self conscious.

Finally had some improvement at the hospital today! She was trying to smile, stayed awake more and said yes.. And when we told her gail (the Nasty money minded daughter) was visiting she scowled haha! Not much but it's a start! Her right side is still paralysed but a physio will be coming to see her on Monday. Fingers crossed she's on the up! Xx

Ahh thats good news then, fingers crossed she just gets better and better then! :)

Glad to hear there's been some improvement!

Mellie, I suppose at least I don't have a pay break, but was kind of hoping to start it later, just so I'd have more this time next year but oh well, at least I'll have some money coming in just before it's due so I can buy bits and bobs.

I was in asda before and they had a cute little pj onesie for boys. It was only £2 reduced so I got it, even though I don't know what I'm having yet! I also got a nice unisex onesie which is pale cream, with little bobbles on and it's kind of made of soft toy material but really silky soft. Will be lovely for winter cuddles. Can't wait until my Friday scan so I can buy things!

I need to catch up lol. Hope your all well.
Piper is moving about more and more these days and I finally felt her move poke out my tummy if you know what I mean. lol. Can't wait for my kids to feel. Brooke keeps coming up to me and asking if she is moving yet lol. I've to tell her when she's kicking so she can feel her. I'm pleased about this cause she's taken a while to mention or talk about the new baby. She wanted a little boy. I think she feels cause it's another girl she won't get as much of my attention. But I'm always spending time with her and Jorja-Grace and that won't change with Piper on the scene.
We just got an extra player on the girls team lol. We winning 4-3 lol. Love my big family.

Great news Katie hope the improvements continue!

Mellie I had my scan and was given my notes and told that was it. As far as I'm aware my next appt with mw is at 25 weeks but I find it shocking even though all with baby apparently normal that I've got to wait 5 weeks to discuss it.

Njp that's good news Huni :) mine was going to start on 1st September but they're going to suspend my pay til I request smp starts as I'd rather leave it as late as poss so it lasts til as late into next school year as possible.

Chaz that's lovely :) really can't wait til I can feel kicks and movement like that!

That's a bit rubbish, must only be some midwives who see you at 20 weeks then. Good job everything was alright with your scan otherwise you'd be worried sick.
NJP, you're bound to be having a girl now you've got a boy outfit! Just hoping my 20 week scan doesnt say its a girl because I wont know what to believe!
My manager said today that he thinks im going to be working until I go into labour, he has no chance!

Has anyone else's belly button gone funny yet? Pre pregnancy I had a perfect belly button, it went really deep but it was nice. Now its a lot less deep, and also at a funny angle.....I assume the baby is underneath it pushing it at a funny angle. So weird!

Kaa, that's what I was hoping to do, so that it lasts but also so that more of it would be in the next tax year, meaning I'd pay less tax on my mat pay. They didn't give me the option of doing that though. I was just pleased they said they were giving me it - when they called the meeting I had visions of having to argue my case for getting it. I tend to think the worst when meetings are called at work.

Chaz, she'll soon realise there's strength in numbers, better than being outnumbered!

Mellie, I can't quite decide about my belly button. It seems a bit shallower but then I'm not sure if it really was any deeper than this to start with. I'm not fully expecting it to pop out, as it's quite a deep one - it's got a bit of blubber to penetrate through! I imagine it'll just go shallower or just flat.

Hope all you ladies are well!

Managed to sit down and write a list of everything baby still needs and what needs doing around the house before he arrives! I'm such a weirdo I have to have lists for everything! Even worse now with baby brain otherwise I forget after an hour! Should hopefully have his pram arrive next month and have all the nursery ready for August then can rest and sort Christmas over September and October!

Also ordered my hospital bag! I only need to add little bits to it like the coming home outfit and my nightie but can't complain for£23!

Our prams arrived, and we're sorting the nursery in August. Cant wait. I tried writing a list but still feel like im missing loads from it.

That bag was good value, you could pay that for just the bag surely!

Yeh I think the worst when called in to meetings haha.
Good point about the tax never thought of that.

Not sure about my belly button I think it's less deep as it was very deep due to my fat belly anyway. So not as bad now but that's prob just because belly sticks out even more now haha.

Wow Katie great deal there where's that from?? Xx

I could never find a bag big enough for when I had Myah and ended up taking about 4 bags when I got to labour ward! What a surprise I never used them all! So thought id try a pre packed bag this time.. I know I was looking at around £25 for just a good bag! It's from a page on Facebook here's the link for anybody who wants to nosey, she also has eBay :-) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bump...-Hospital-Bags/152876001543597?ref=ts&fref=ts

The pram should be fully paid by Tuesday but we need to ring to see what's happening about the buggy board we ordered as it isn't showing online that we've ordered it and won't be in stock until September so could have the pram delivered sooner!

Mellie there's a whole baby list I used from this forum that tells you everything you need! Will see if I can find the original one as I've edited my list to suit what we will use this time xx
