My vegan food journal

That website is fab!! I wanna buy loads!! :D

:) You get free delivery if you order over £65. I usually make one off big orders and stock up. :) I try to stay off too much processed and meat/cheese substitutes, but I do always have some of this stuff in for convenience.

The no moo sauce is a miracle product, its great! :) :) :) Even my husband likes it! (he's not vegan unfortunately). The hard cheeses are pretty good too, some of the best alternative cheeses out I think. The deli and smoked slices are great too, (very authentic if you like things to replicate meat) ...and all their products are soya free and palm oil free too!

That's fantastic thanks :) I don't use many meat substitutes-maybe once a week-twice at the very most, and haven't found a cheese substitute I like yet so haven't used those at all! The children love pizza though so I can't wait to try it on pizza!!

Is soya not good? I use soya mince and tofu occasionally. Prefer hazelnut milk over soya milk but do use soya butter. Great that they're palm oil free! Haven't found a milk the children love yet. Though they both liked the hazelnut milk and soya milk, neither loved them! :(

The hard cheeses aren't meltable but great with crackers and grated. There is a melty soft cheese, but i preferred the no mooo sauce to that. Let me know what you think! :)

I mentioned Soya free because you said you thought your son was having a reaction to it so these products are great for those who may be allergic to soya :)

Re Milk, have your kids they tried Rice milk or Kara coconut milk? I do quite like the Almond one, but i kind of swap between them all.x

It was me:) He is still to.be tested.but we are avoiding atm. He has oatmilk for now and Kara is next on the list too.
I am tempted to try some products as it will give him variety. Right now i have to tweak recipes for him but its not too bad. Stuff on.that website looks good though

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

Oh bugger! sorry! So it was! Oops :) Oooh well glad you like the look of the Vegusto stuff too, I have to say it's one of my best finds x

Lol, no worries :)

I am amazed at how willing B is to try everything I put in front of him! Previously he'd reject anything that was the 'wrong' texture but he's really trying everything now! He ate rice the other day which normally he's reject, bulgur wheat he tried and couscous he loved! He also ate all of his dinner yesterday and Monday! Spaghetti bolognese and bolognese pasta bake which normally he's reject because of the mince texture (he wouldn't touch meat mince!) xx it was delicious though and I snuck in extra veggies by whizzing carrot, red pepper, celery, courgette and lots of garlic in a food processor before adding to the sauce :) M had seconds!

Just prepped the sunrise burgers but had to sub a couple of ingredients! Fingers crossed they turn out ok!

Just seen this thread, I'm not vegan but a lady who used to be on here posted a year or so ago a vegan dairy milk (well she called it Gems Dairy milk) I saved it on my desktop as I fancied trying it as I love toblerone and its not so saturated as normal choc - never tried it yet, but may do soon!

Vegan dairy milk!

6 parts Raw cocoa powder
1 part coconut oil
nuts
2 parts agave nectar

whizz in a blender, add warm water if needed,
spread onto a small thin tray and refridgerate.
Then I chop it into 'bars' and chuck in a sandwich box.
Everyone knows it as 'Gem's Dairy Milk' so I just always call it that.
It actually tastes like toblerone though. Very yummy![/QUOTE]

Ooooh thanks chick! That sounds great!

I need to find more than 5 minutes so I can update properly!! X

It was really delicious! I could really do with more spice in mine though! Next time, for definite!

Ok! I officially suck at updating this thing!

Anyways, I've just ordered free from cheese and cheese spread from Tesco and coconut milk! I'm dreading the coconut milk tbh as I hate coconut but the children might like it! I hope so!

Bumping this for inspiration ;) how are you getting on now hun? I've decided to go veggie again! It's been on the cards for a while, but we went to the farm today and I came out like omg how can I eat meat now?! Its been years since I was veggie and I'm a bit clueless haha! Although I've been eating a lot more veggie/vegan foods recently!

Completely forgot about this!! I am RUBBISH! lol.

I'm doing really well mostly, I have had a couple slip ups, like I ate sausage the other week and had Tuna the other day :(

Just discovered The Vegan Zombie YouTube channel and WOW some of his stuff is great! I have just done his Spicy Black Bean Burgers for me and S (who isn't vegan) and we both loved them! I had to sub chipotle paste for chipotle peppers and Pinto beans for black beans but they were absolutely delicious! Just had them on rolls with lettuce, tomato and red onion. The hardest thing I've found is lunches. I have a million and one recipes for breakfasts and dinners but lunches is my fall down!

Ooo they sound well yummy! Im really struggling with lunches too, but then I always did anyway! We had couscous and pitta bread with salad yesterday and it was amazing!

Ah the vegan zombie is great isn't he! :)

I came across this the other day and thought you might like it - Vegan Devonshire clotted cream :)
I got my first delivery the other day, it's amaaaaazing and you can freeze it too.

So many tasty looking recipes. I wish I could eat even half of them!

I've made some raw and vegan mint chocolate cookies (also chocolate coated), delicious! The peppermint is helping my tummy so they are a double bonus and got me through easter when everyone else was scoffing 'normal' chocolate.
