That's brilliant! Bet you were so chuffed!
Think I'm getting out running on Saturday. Going to start my Couch to 5K. Again! X

Well done! My runninng is going ok (ish) not getting out as often as I'd like but at least I'm getting out i suppose. I have a half marathon on Sunday- The Portsmouth coastal half marathon. I'm hoping to race it, would like to complete it doing a 10minute/mile average pace to keep me on track for my marathon goal. Im not sure if that will be possible thiugh as its a mixed terrain-beach & road which Ive never done before. Fingers crossed xxx

Thanks ladies, was out last night last added a few hills to my route to get me as my half in March has a horrible hill!!!!
Ive attached a pic of my new bling from Sunday - think ill need another medal holder soon, especially if im going to manage 13 races for 2013!!

Yay running buddy ;) lovely to see your getting back into it, good luck for your couch 2 5k.

Good luck for Sunday Rednursie, im sure you will do fab :) mixed terrain races are great, youll really enjoy it.

Hows everyone elses weekend been? x x x

Hope your knee feels okay today?
I had an awesome half marathon yesterday. The course was beautiful, amazing scenery, the weather was just perfect :) I really enjoyed the mixed terrain too. Perfect! And to top it off I got a personal best- 1:58:54 Over the moon with that :-)

Well done Rednursie, thats fantastic :)
After you worrying about the terrain too!
Knees ok, resting tonight, well when I say resting ive got a challenge with a couple of the girls I run with, planking - up to 3mins at the mo! X x x

3 mins planking-Oh my god that is hard core! I cried when my trainer made me try 2 mins!

Hi all! Nervously stepping in as a first time runner! Lol. In the passed have hated exercise, but I've lost 4.5 stone so far and feel a bit more able to take the plunge! I've signed myself up for race for life in June and I started using the couch to 5k app today! Have to say I was actually quite surprised that I managed to do 30 mins of on off jogging!! Feels so good to start doing some exercise! Hoping to build up to a half marathon this time next year!! I've told myself I need to be able to do a half marathon before I can have another baby! Need to be fit for pregnancy this time round :) quite nervous but loved my first bit of exercise today and doing it again tomorrow :) Hannah x

Hi Wannabmummy  well done on your first run, sounds like you did fantastic :) Great to see you have goals to work toward, keep us posted how your getting on.

Just over 6.5miles for me tonight, so that takes me well over 100miles since the beginning of the year, woohoo, only another 800 and something to go before 2014 starts.
Next run will be club night now so thinking of something challenging for my ladies, maybe some hill work ;) x x x

Well done wannabmummy on your weight loss-And on signing up for a race for life. I know lots of people who started running with the couch to 5k app-Have heard nothing but good things about it. Good luck!
I did a 6 miler yesterday evening before going to my night shift. It was nice after Sundays race. Planning a long run on Friday-14/15 miles if I can manage it. An also now signed up for a 10k on Sunday morning :-)

Oooh good luck for Sunday Rednursie :) Which one are you doing?

Jealous you get to do a long run in the week, mine wont be till Sunday morning, trying to get a couple of the experienced ladies from the running club out on a 12miler+, ive got 2 definites up to now :) x x x

I did a 15 miler ths evening :) Wasn't sure if I would be able for it in this cold weather but it was fine. Feel really proud :) I bought a wind/rainproof running jacket in the Nike factory shop last weekend & wore it. It was amazing! So worth the investment-And it was a bargain.
How is everybody else getting along? xxx

Good luck for today Rednursie :)

Ive just got back from a 10 miler this morning, not the best of runs as I had period pains all the way around :( but still the time was on for a sub 2hr half x x

I didn't in the end because of a lovely bfp! It's been too long since I last ran to be able to do it now. I'd be starting from scratch and they advise against that. I'll be starting again next year! So happy!

How's that knee of yours? Also I love how you tot up your miles in the year. I'll have to do that.

Rednursie - Richmond Park! I used to live a minute from there!

Wannabemummy - how amazing is that app!!

Xxx

My run was quite hilly actually! But I still managed a personal best of 53.42 so am well chuffed with that. Really really really want a sub 4.20 marathon in April & it feels like I'm on track for it now. All going well I will do Dublin again in October & *Maybe* get a sub four hour. I am joining a running club in April so I'm hoping that will really help me. Though after saying all of the above I would swap a bfp for all the running & personal bests in the world. I can't believe I'm about to do my 2nd marathon & still not pregnant! Thank god for running to keep me sane hey :-) xxx

Omg it's actually amazing! I love it :)

I did my week 2 day 1 today and I am proud to say that I can now run/walk 4k in 30 mins!!! At the beginning of last week I could only do 2.5k?? I am sooooo proud of myself! I am really loving running already.

I thought I'd hate it because everytime I've tried in the past I've hated it but something's changed since becoming a mum! I appreciate the time out! Lol x
