Mummies Running Club :D

M2a you're a star!! That all makes sense and I absolutely will stretch after every run now. I will be going to get new trainers this weekend so all that should help.

Thank you all for your help and advice xx

Are you having a gait analysis done hun? x x

Thanks sassy, enjoy your break!

M2a I don't know what that is?! X

Its a method used to assess the way you run to highlight biomechanical abnormalities. They then tell you whether you have a neutral gait, you over-pronate or under-pronate and they let you know what type of running shoes you need. If runnersneed has a treadmill they are likely to do it x x

Yes iv just had a look on their website, il deffo get that done thanks x

Thank you ladies :)
Had a rubbish nights sleep thanks to the neighbours having a karaoke at 2am singing like a whales, so just loading myself up with fruit juice, banana and porridge, hoping that they will give me some energy x x

How annoying!! I'm sure you will be fine tho, what time do u reckon u will do? All the very best xx

Thanks hun, not sure what time, going to use it as a tempo run rather than a race as I dont want to gain anymore injuries before October but secretly would love a pb too ;)
Did you go running shoe shopping hun? x x

Did it in 2:09 ladies, made up with that as the course was quite hilly in some place. Heres my finishers tshirt and medal :D x x

Congratulations that's fab! Hope your not too sore in the morning xx

Thank you ladies, not feeling to bad today apart from 2 blisters and a black toenail! Some lady at the end came up and thanked me, she said id been a great pace maker for her and when i looked at my split times, I sustained quite an average pace throughout the race for the first time ever, im normally all over the place so im quite proud of myself :) x x

Well done hun, that's a fantastic time :yay: Hope the blisters and toe nail heal quickly!

You did so well M2A!!! :yay:

Youve inspired me to start training for a quarter marathon so I looked up Hal Higdon (can't remember I'd that's spelt right lol) and planned a 16 week plan. I should be running 13 miles by the time the years out.

Heres my plan. Yes...it's colour coded lol. (well, half colour coded!)
