Mummies Running Club :D

Hey pos :wave: hope you're ok hun and sorry you've been having a few stressful weeks :hugs: please don't feel bad, you've done the right thing as you don't want to run it and end up injuring yourself either. A 5k or 10k would be a really good place to start and still raise money for charity.

Ive just ordered myself a new bra, a shock absorber one as ive had really bad friction from my other ones especially on long runs, its really sore now because my normal bra's are rubbing on it :(x x

I have a shock absorber bra & I love it. The best I've had. £40 but worth every penny

Glad they are worth the money :) Ive never had any problems with a normal high impact sports bra until now, ive paid for express delivery so should be here tomorrow hopefully before my run tomorrow night x x
 
Went hill running tonight! 4.7 miles and in 1 hr 9. It was brilliant and didn't hurt my shins at all. Going again on Monday. :)

I hope your bra has arrived :) How far do you plan running this evening? I'm sat on the sofa waiting for the rain to ease off, its so annoying! I don't mind a bit of rain when I'm actually running but not before I even start :wall2:
 
Not sure whether its arrived yet Rednursie, wont know till i get home from work. Just ordered some more compression capri's too, OH is going to kill me for buying more running things! Im slowly taking over the house :)

My schedule says 5 miles tonight but its just starting to pour down with thunder and lightening :( x x
 
It is absolutely poring down here now! No chance I can run in that. Boo. I planned doing 6 miles but bot sure it's going to happen now. I hope the rain stops for when you get in from work xx
 
I went out for a run in the rain showers in the end, i need to follow my plan as much as I can with the big day getting so close especially because im so far behind in training after the problems with my knee so i just went out. My bra got delivered so i managed to test that out too and im very impressed :) x x
 
Hi ladies!

Went for my first run today in about two weeks, was really dreading it but..it was my best ever!! :yay: I only had to stop a few times and for literally a few seconds! I'm thrilled! I done my 3 miles in 41 minutes which is my fastest so far! :)

I ran on my own so that always makes it easier too.

Think I'm going to have to invest in a better pair of trainers soon, mine are decent but I want to go to a shop where they will assess the right pair for me.

Well done pos that's fab! I got my gait assessed in runners need, they were really good.
I did 6 miles yesterday (eventually after then rain stopped) My legs were really sore last night-Around my shins-Like what I imagine shin splints would be like? Anyway I know I haven't been stretching properly so maybe I need to start. Naughty I know!
I bought a belt today in runners need with a water bottle that holds 650mls & has a little pouch :)
I'm working all weekend so won't get out. Plan on a 12 hour run tomorrow instead:oooo:

Rednurse I hope it's not shin splits, they're proper nasty. Just stretch before and after a run and then ice it just incase.

I went for my interval session yesterday and found it incredibly hard. Think it's because of the hill run on Tuesday. Got my 3-4 mile run tomorrow. Just going to take it nice and easy. If I can do 4 miles in 45 mins Ill be chuffed.
 
August Mum interval training is really hard! Supposed to be very good though so worth it I'm sure. My speed/time is rubbish, I don't know what to do to improve it.
I did 12 miles this morning. I made sure I stretched loads before & after. My muscles feel sore already! My first time taking a gel & water with me, really made the difference I think xxx

AM, I hate interval training but it really helps with your stamina etc

Going to try and get out over the weekend for a few miles
 
Thanks Sassy I feel okay today. Just a bit achy but that's to be expected. I put cold compresses on my legs last night so I think that helped. My next day off is Tuesday so I wont get to go for a run before then. Think my legs will be glad of the rest though :-)
 
I went out for a little jog tonight, just a couple of miles, but it was up a steep hill at the end. Now feel like I may be getting a cold, grrrr, I hope I'm not.....
 
Well done ladies, everyone is doing great :)

I went into unknown territories this morning, i had 15 miles scheduled and ended up doing just over 15.26miles, struggled after the half marathon point but just kept on going. Mixed feeling about it though, im proud ive done my longest every run but knowing theres going to be an added 11miles is kind of scaring me! x x
 
When is ur marathon again m2a?? You are doing so well xx

Thanks hun my marathon is 14th October.
I thought id be more stiff and sore after pushing myself further than Ive ever ran before but up to now im feeling ok :) x x
