May mummies and rainbows to be :)

i still dont believe its real Dovekie keep thinking ill wake up from this lovely dream, and my heart will be shattered.

I just feel so much more vulnerable because I know how much I will worry about this kid, and if anything happened to it now, life would never be the same again.

I nearly died yesterday because I was out shopping too long! I was out with my friend during the day then met my parents for late night shopping. I started to get bad pains in my abdomen, below my ribs (my intestines?). I had to sit down for an hour and then go home!

OK I know I'm an old adult when looking through a website's offers for stocking filler ideas for the family I get excited and say oooooo over a toilet roll holder :wall2:

I'm off to London for the day today so better make sure I try and take it easy lol 18 weeks Monday :) what's everyone else up to this weekend?

Have fun Nikki :)

I'm just doing the usual, bit of work, playing with the ponies, tidying the house for Christmas etc.

Going to my friends wedding later x wearing my pretty dress with thanks to lisey and my tights thank to your opinions and just brought a little white shrug too also on your suggestions.... in fact the only part I've dressed myself is my shoes lol they were my wedding shoes lol
So my look will be a may mummies combined effort lol. Well done and thank you girls lol

make sure you post us a pic ery!

ooh good luck dovekie I always hate that part lol

Ohh Dovekie hope it goes well!

So this is a bit of a how long is a piece of string question! Is there any point getting newborn size clothes or will up to 1 month or 0-3 be ok? I've so far got one of each and the size difference is massive. Is it really annoying to have them in clothes that are too big? If I buy them how many vests/sleepsuits would you say to start with? Just a handful in each size?

I would get a handful in each size. It's really hard to say, I've had big babies so newborn has been pointless to me, then I breastfeed and their weight drops. Also depends on their length to. Plus people will end up buying you loads xx

Today is Crossfit, followed by a cut and colour- going for a proper pixie this time, then home to watch the match and then going to try a late movie tonight, which is really 20.20, but I really want to see Arrival and it's my last chance at my local cinema. Hope I make it through. At least the sienna is only a 10 min walk from home. My dw actually has the entire weekend off for a change! So Sunday will be some lazing around and catching up on some TV, followed by some shopping and another movie, probably Sully this time. Need to get our mileage out of our unlimited cards whilst we still can.

Really looking forward to next weekend as we're going to see Rogue One!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

Yea ppl buy lots if the small sizes for you I found. My son was 7lb 2 and was in newborn for a good few weeks but he had huge feet lol so the sleep suits looked funny lol. He was born with 3month feet he's grown into his feet how though thankfully lol he looked a bit clown like lol.

I'm sure I'll get afew pics of the outfit I'm nervous. I'm meeting lots of hubby's work friends for the first time! Considering he's one of only 2 blokes that work there I'm scared lol. I know his boss wants just as scared lol she said "oh wow your wife is coming I'll have to wear a less plunging top and not get as drunk!" Lol

Both of us are short, so I assume little one won't be that tall either.

Stupid question but who are all these people who buy you things?! I'm not expecting anyone to buy us anything, my sister possibly will and one of my husbands sisters might but I don't know who else would?

For me it was friends work colleagues aunties uncles parents friends

I don't think we will get much then. I don't have work colleagues other then my husband and FIL, my FIL is not a shopper (we are still waiting for a wedding present), my parents I think will buy us something beforehand, FIL only child so my OH has no aunts/uncles, mine all live miles away and we don't do presents and as I've never sent anything other than a card to friends I wouldn't expect anything more back!

We also got a big bundle from friends/family who had recently had a baby a few months before us lol. We have most of my son's stuff still so hopefully plan to use most of the neutral stuff from that. Can't wait to see a baby in a sleeping bag again! So cute!

Oh I just mentioned this in 3rd tri but should probably say it here too since its more relevant

Make sure you ask your hospital if the have a maternity parking scheme as at mine it's like £6 for 3hrs but after your 13week scan it's £14 for a permit for the rest of pregnancy so you can labour as long as you like without worrying about the car lol

We don't have anyone who has had a baby recently, not who isn't planning on another anyway.

I'm sure I saw someone on here at some point had found some fleece lined maternity leggings? I really need some thermals but can't find any maternity thermals anywhere (do pregnant people not get cold or go to cold places?!) so thought these might do!

I think I may have bo bo'd! I thought I would just have a little look in a local baby shop (not a big chain) and peruse the prams etc just to get a feel of them, I maybe shouldn't have!
I have in my head a nice budget I want to stick to (my other half more so) and was quite happy with the look and feel of the oyster travel system. But then I thought I would just have a feel and a look at the silver cross surf.....there lies my mistake! I really loved the look the feel and everything, it even had a cup holder (or bottle not sure)!! Its about double the price....can I justify it? Can you put me off??
Also a word of warning as I wasn't aware, due to brexit a lot of the baby stuff is going to go up quite a lot probs by the end of this month so if you can the advise was to try and buy now....unless that's just a sales ploy and I am being naïve as per.
