I stupidly did not realise pregnancy suppresses your immune system! No wonder we are all suffering one bug or another.
I currently have a cold that's turning into a chest infection (asthmatic), a return of morning sickness (although not as bad) and feeling light headed and faint more and more these days! That together with the insomnia and the constipation means I am definitely not glowing lol
Christmas shopping this year might be challenging but oh boy I am looking forward to Christmas 2017!! x

question, is anyone going out for new years? my oh wants to go to a house night at a club with his mates till 6am which I outright said no to so he's got the hump but I'm not going to last on my feet till 6am and feel out of place pregnant in a club!

he went out without me last year so wanted to spend new years together this year but I know he won't want to stay in. not sure what else to do I don't know if any of my friends are out this year either lol

Thanks for the help ladies. I don't really know what he is into to be honest. He is an electrician, he is into fitness etc. I have searched the secret santa gifts but alot of it is novelty stuff, sometimes I just think its a waste as will never be used.

Nikki, did he want you to go to the club??? We don't have any plans, we have been invited to my cousins party at her house, it will be a big party though. She has a massive house and lots of funds!!!! I don't think we are going to go though, I don't mind if my OH goes out without me as I don't really like New Years but I think we will prob just stay in or pop to my other cousins (who has a baby so they will be in too) xx

We're hosting a party at home for friends and neighbours but I've told everyone I'll be going to bed at about one minute past midnight! I didn't want to go out so I don't blame you for saying no nikki, club til 6am sounds like my worst nightmare xx

I'm not a massive fan of New Year so we will most likely stay in and celebrate at home on our own... When I worked as a waitress I would always work NY, I've had a few good NYE out on the town but most of them have been far too busy and far too expensive. I really struggle to hear people in a crowd (and over music) so I just have to stand about looking stupid as I can't tell what people are trying to say to me.

I am not even going to the works Christmas party this year so def not going out NY. Will he compromise say go for a meal somewhere celebrate quietly with you and maybe then you go home and if he still wants to party he goes on somewhere else with friends?
What about a voucher for a sports massage or some decent sports socks/tshirt, I struggle with presents and people def struggle to buy me.

Nikki. .. is it going to be another paralytic wet wetting drinking session? If so I would definitely not go and say you'll be asleep so can he hake his own way home! I don't think we've got any plans for new year past few it's just been me son and hubby playing bored games watching the countdown eating chocolate and party food lol its been great! Son had his first sip on alcohol last new yr..... hated it lol I may have a sip to toast but not even a glass! But been craving port and sherry so a sip would be OK. I had most of a whisky double with my son at 26 weeks coz my tooth hurt so bad and I wasn't allowed to take anything for it!

We are staying in. My inlaws will be with us and we'll just watch the countdown on TV. It's not a big deal for us. Although I do miss watching the NYC festivities and the ball dropping on the TV. I don't do big crowds if I can help it.

I get like that too. I think I feel overwhelmed because everybody is celebrating at the same time. However, I had a great new year last year, at a party with lots of international people I didn't know.
