May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Believe me lisey, I'm trying to avoid it. But I'm in SW London zone 3, and I've tried Westfield and several other areas, but the shops aren't big enough. I don't have a car and sold my motorbike as I wouldn't use it now and need to get a car in the near future, so going just outside London isn't much of an option. I might have to decide to take a day trip to Croydon, although I hate going there, but I believe there is a big mothercare and mamas & papas there, of course IKEA isn't far either. It's hard to find the big shops in London and they store finders don't give you can option to search for a superstore or the like.

I don't find Westfields that great either as most shops are fairly small. My OH suggested going there for maternity clothes and I said I guarantee the shops won't stock anything.
I hope it's not too strenuous when you do go xx

I've had to buy my jeans online, there are no maternity sections in any shops anywhere close to me. I've got to drive over an hour to try stuff on so I just took a punt and ordered it. Bit of a nightmare as I have weird length legs, I'm too short for regular but often too tall for short, it would be so much easier to be able to try it on first!

We're settled on the oyster 2 and I'll order it in January so that we can do a payment planXX

This is the pushchair I'm currently looking at online. I haven't had the chance to test drive it. What colour do you like? I like olive green!

Woah, today I have had a surge of energy from somewhere. I'm 14+6. Up until now I've been exhausted everyday from about 2-3pm. Not today! Also, my sickness is less - about 4-5 mornings per week plus some random day sicks!

I like the olive green too, with the tan handles. Green is my favourite colour :)

got midwife tomorrow so worried she won't find a heartbeat when does the worrying stop? lol

got my bloods back today and classed as low risk which is a pleasant surprise!
1 in over 49000 for Edwards and patau syndrome and 1 in 191 for downs which is still fairly high I know but I was expecting 1-50 or less! So decided to save the money we would have spent on the Harmony test and put it towards the baby instead. Still want to know the sex though just have to wait a little longer.

Lisey I'm fairly sure 37 is the limit but if you are feeling too hot to get out straight away? I could be wrong but im sure that birthing pools are run to about 36-37 unless specifically requested otherwise. X

Thanks missyeovil. I did think of calling the midwife helpline and asking but not sure if it's what the helpline is for. The sessions start in Jan so do have some time, I wouldn't be able to go just yet as still too sick and dizzy xx

I'm sure birthing pool is 37 same as body temperature it was really warm. I'll Google in a moment lol. 1st day off in ages tomorrow. So I'll have a good catch up then!
Our tree goes up after sons bday. It used to go up after mine but it used to drive me mad I wanted it earlier lol so now it's up after my son's lol.

Gesic that's really good my downs risk is 1:172 so I'm more at risk than you! My Edwards is 1:100000 which is what I was most scared about. My auntie had trouble conceiving her 2nd then when she did it had Edwards and was stillborn she then had a daughter but we are so similar it always worried me!

Anyone else getting really achy hips in the evening?

I can't wait to go pram shopping it will be ages away though cash is a wee bit tight with my sickness. (And I think they still have it wrong I don't get it.) I've lost the will to work out what I should have been paid. It's too difficult lol. I could do it... but I don't want to know that obactuslly owe them more money

Glad my frozen cm made a few of you chuckle lol. Felt like I had an ice cube down there lol. I need to invest in thermal knick's lol.

Someone else who I've not seen in ages ego didn't know about my pregnancy bumped into me today. Our last convo was about her boob job and how i was envious of her curves. Her response today was "wow look at your boobs! Oh my look at your bump!" Lol

Im gutted I forgot to take me week 16 pic. I'm 17 week tomorrow so too late but I'll get one tomorrow!

Water temperature

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recommends that if you're exercising in water – for example, at an antenatal class – the temperature of the water shouldn't be above 32C (89.6F).
If you're using a hydrotherapy pool, the temperature shouldn't be above 35C (95F). Some hot tubs can be as hot as 40C (104F), so it's best to avoid them.

Oh and I found this about water temp from NHS

That's pretty close, she said 33. I will be worried. Might see if OH will take him instead, I just know he will want me in the pool xx

They sat it's most harmful in affecting development in the first 12 weeks. But the hear can make you overheat and feel dizzy or faint x

That's great news gesic.

I really like the olive green and tan as well, although burnt orange is my fave, but not many prams seem to come in that colour. I have liked the coal grey and chrome ones I've seen. I think we may be making a trip to Croydon, although I hate going there too, but I've heard they have a big Mothercare and Mamas & Papas. It would be an excuse to go to IKEA too. It really is hard to find the big shops in London.

Aw lisey, your son sounds cute.

Our tree is going up this weekend. I've been feeling unusually festive this year. Can't wait to get some lights around the place.

Emily - that's how I plan to use the carrycot too. It works great as a moses basket. I found I used it loads for the first few months. OH usually had the car so I used to take lo everywhere in the pram with carrycot. We moved him into the pushchair attachment when he was trying to sit up to see more around him, at around 5 months .

Aww thanks. He has his moments lol.
I am far more festive too, I have found Christmas quite hard over all the years ttc as I always wished we had a little one there or on the way. It's such a family time and I felt we had a little something missing, I am far more excited this year xx
