May mummies and rainbows to be :)

It's freezing!!

I've had to cancel all my plans as my son is poorly again and off school. I feel bad as he was off on Friday having had a vomiting bug overnight and now he's off today too. I really hate him being poorly :-(

-4°C here right now! The frost is beautiful. We have a big open plan house and heating it is a nightmare and expensive. I love Christmas but oh and I are away visiting family over the holidays so we decided not to decorate our house this year.

About 15 pages ago (lol) you were all talking about how you wouldn't buy a second hand car seat, can I ask why? Xx

Blimey I've just noticed Lisey is nearly 18 weeks - I feel so behind at just 15 weeks!!!

Because if they've been in an accident or bumped about etc then they can be compromised and less safe.

We did have a second hand car seat for my son, but we knew and could trust the people it came from but otherwise I would get a new one.

Car seats have an expiry date on them and you don't know if they have been dropped or been in an accident. So I would always be wary if buying safety things second hand same goes for crash helmets etc too.

Yay Emily I've been living the smell recently but still scared to taste!

Good luck at the midwife Nikki.
Emily, I hope he is better soon, my son is generally quite well and doesn't get ill often but last year he just kept getting coughs and colds that wouldn't budge, its horrible for them.
Betty, I can't believe it either, it goes quicker now I have to say. 2 weeks til the 20 week scan eek xx

OK thanks for letting me know. I saw one that looked like new for a great price but sounds like new is safer. Happy 17 weeks eryinera xx

Oh wow two weeks til the 20 week scan. That must feel amazing! I feel like I've been this pregnant for ages as I was put back 5 days at my dating scan. I've also worked out that with my miscarriage I'll have been pregnant for 8 months this year by the time the year ends!! I've been pregnant forever and I don't have a baby in my arms yet I feel quite frustrated! Xx

Yeah the carseats can look fine but if they have been in an accident it could dislodge something from where it should be and make it less safe. I am surprised though at how many pop up on the for sale pages on my facebook as it is recommended not to buy used.
What are peoples plans for the day? It is absolutely freezing and I really just want to stay in but have to take my dog out at some point, he is fast asleep now so can wait a bit. Apart from that I will stay cosy indoors until parents eve tonight xx

Oh, I know what you mean. I feel like I have been pregnant for ages too, the first tri was long, long, long!! I am glad time is speeding up a little now though xx

My plan is pretty much the same as most days. Put the fire on, clean, tidy, walk mine and my neighbors dogs, clean my neighbors house, come home, cook, clean, tidy! Oh and I have some orders for my business to make tonight- I make custom pieces like hair fascinators, cosplay outfits and circus props. Xx

My day will consist of housework and looking after my poorly little man!

May try and do a bit more knitting too.

I've also realised it was my Edd for my last pregnancy 10 days ago. I've been feeling off and wondered if maybe it has something to do with that.

Yea I feel like I've been pregnant for the past 3 years lol. I'm struggling to move much today feel like baby is right on top of my cervix very uncomfortable. It'd been much higher up until the past few days think the extra work has moved it. I heard the hb last night found it quite quickly too. So that's good. I'm hoping a day of relaxing and wrapping will let baby go back up again.

So I'm going to eat this tea cake my son left. ..then 2 (or 4) crumpets then lie on the floor and wrap.

Edds can be hard. One of mine was Halloween which is/was my fave holiday it's always bittersweet now x

My due dates are 18th January, 4th April and 28th August.

My August due date is when I found out I was pregnant with this little one. A very poignant day to find out I was pregnant again.

Do any of you ladies have nicknames for your little ones? Hubby refers to bump as Podling!
