May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Great so is verbally letting them know ok? They obviously know I'm pregnant as I work for my husband!

Yeah I think so. That's what I read anyway as got myself in a panic too as forgot to get the mat form xx

Hello ladies,

Been lurking for a few days. Been feeling super rough with this cough. Was convinced it was in my chest but docs said it was clear. Feeling a tad better today but now I'm loaded with cold.

Does anyone know if there is a minimum number of movenents you should feel in a day? The other day I had a super stresy day, and realised I'd not noticed any kicks at all. Lay down and had a wee poke about and started getting kicks but then the day after I was thinking that im not getting loads. I downloaded the kicks count app and yesterday there were 6 episodes of movement I noticed through the whole day and today im just at number 5. Is that OK? Im sure my other 2 were more than that.

If you didn't work for your husband (they must already know then?!), I'd say put it in writing/an email. After I got sacked I had to find evidence that I'd told them. Thankfully, straight after the chat with my Manager, I'd emailed him and mentioned it!

I don't know if there is a minimum. I think it's whatever is normal for you. When I saw midwife the other day she just asked if baby is moving about. She didn't ask how much and said it's still a bit early to monitor. I have been using the kick counts app for a couple of weeks though. If you're concerned, give them a call, I am sure they will reassure you xx

There's no set amount of movement you should feel in a day, it's just what is normal for your baby.

If you're worried then call your MW for advice.

So tired. Packed til 2am last night and up since 6am. Already been packing for over an hour. Need this to be done and still have a bit to go. Ugh. I only have two large boxes left. Then the rest will go into bags. I hate this stage. It's all various bits and bobs and trying to figure the best way to pack when there is no more room for boxes in the flat.

Well, we are all moved, but painters decided to work today as second bedroom isn't quite finished. It will be today. Need the room to set up our futon to sleep and get away from the dust elsewhere. Not sure they'll be finished by Monday night, but we'll see.

You're getting there, kabuk! It is very stressful moving. I moved over a week ago but I'm still living out of boxes and bags. I see no point unpacking really, until I know what's happening with my boyfriend. I'm sleeping in the spare room :/

Had some hefty kicks this morning in bed! They made me jump but tickled at the same time.

It turns out there was some minor wall damage in the hallway that needed fixing, so that was an extra day because of letting it dry. If I had the money, I'd book a hotel. The dust is killing me. I've had 2 nose bleeds from it.

I'm sorry things aren't going well, Dovekie. I hope they start looking up. You deserve better. Try and focus on that little one inside you.

Well, I was out with my boyfriend and his friends last night for his 40th birthday, and I got home at 11.30. He stayed out. He's still not home - it's 6.30! I know it was his birthday, but is this normal? He doesn't usually drink as he has colitis and that's worked well for me as I rarely drink.

I don't think its normal. I would be livid. I take it he hasn't text you to let you know where he is or that he is ok?
There have been times when my OH has had some drinks at his friends house and has prearranged to stay there which I have no problem with as it is once in a blue moon. He doesn't go out that often really but if we went out together and he then stayed out until 6.30 without any contact, I would be angry, birthday or not xx

No, he didn't. I checked FB at 6 and he hadn't been on there for 3 hours. So I sent sent him a text asking where he was at about 7. I got no reply but he got home at 9. He was still drunk and said he'd went to a nightclub - until that time?? Are there any that stay open that late? I was ill at 4am and hadn't been back to sleep since.

I don't know if they are licensed to stay open until that time. Latest I have known was 3 or 4am but who knows. You may get better answers from him when he sobers up. Could have gone back to a friends house after to continue the night?
I think it's totally unreasonable not to let you know he was OK as that's obv a worry when they are out drinking xx

I would be very annoyed with my oh if he went out drinking and didn't come home or text to let me know where he is.

So, our travel system saga continues!! I called mother care today (again!!!) to chase up where our car seat was as the last I heard they were ordering one direct from Cossatto for me. I found another colour pattern I preferred which is a new one, and asked her if we could just return it and swap them. Yes we can but only if I can get there before 31st as that's when the free car seat deal ends. So I drive all the way to the store only to be told that the one I wanted the car seat is out of stock. I pick a different one. Car seat out of stock!! Fuck sake!!! Three separate designs I've tried to order and I can't get any of them!!!! I ended up ordering a colour pattern that I like but hubby isn't all that keen on. But when I called him from the store he was like, just get whichever one you want hun as long as we've got it all!

Mother care will certainly be receiving a letter of complaint as their service has been appalling! I've had to call them and chase it each week as they've made no effort to keep me up to date and they've been unable to provide me with three travel systems I've attempted to buy. Very not OK.

What a pain Emily! Which colour way have you gone for in the end? I would certainly complain. I had really good service from my localish Mothercare when I went to view prams, they couldn't have been more helpful so it is a shame they haven't been as good for you.

Dovekie that is just a bit weird. I don't expect to hear from my oh if he goes out but if he wasn't planning to return home until that late (or early?!) then I don't think it is unreasonable to want to text just to let you know he is ok and his plan is to sleep at x's place etc. Is he having issues with turning 40 and has gone off on one a bit?

We got the same system - Cossato giggle 2 but in the colour pattern Tropico.

The one I really wanted was called Fjord and much more subtle than the tropico.

To be fair I liked the tropico before we knew she was a girl and had already shown it to hubby but he wasn't keen at all. Now he doesn't care! Lol!

Ohh that is jazzy :)

I'm really surprised that they had so many bits out of stock. Do most people not buy the whole system and therefore want it all? Seems odd to me.

It's very bright eh? Won't be to everyone's taste I'm sure but I like it :)

I've got no idea what's happening with all the car seats going out of stock?! You'd think they'd make enough to sell with the systems! Crazy!
