May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Thanks snowbee, I have a face mask thing I can wear anyway that I got for when I painted all the fence panels xx

Yea I'm still shakey I was babbling like I don't know what when it happened. I had a bit if bump ache earlier but I don't think it was related. I'm just glad it seems no one was hurt metal can be fixed/replaced money can be earned. But people are much more valuable

Just had a weird dream that my daughter was born 4 weeks early. 10lb 1 and was half cast with black afro hair (we are both Caucasian with natural blonde hair lol) she was also talking in full sentences and walking from birth. I was half convinced that I had been in a coma and no one would tell me lol. Hubby in my dream found it all perfectly normal. And I had pleats in my tummy skin coz of how big I'd streached to lol. (Oh and when she was born (natural home birth in 30 mins) she told me I'd won a raffle prize and then my son's school handed me my winning raffle lol)

Glad you and the bump are ok Ery. Were you happier about winning the raffle than having the baby?!

I dreamt that I could remove my baby from my belly and it was electronic. I accidentally pressed the "off" button and had a panic!

Lol no way. I was really freaked out by my daughter in the dream lol its understandable they don't usually come out walking and talking lol.

Just finished on phone with insurance and I'm actually pretty happy they are pushing for his fault. Only got £100 excess I had opted for curtsey car cover and protected no claims. and I think now the shocks gone Im glad my first accident was such a low impact one. I'm still nervous now about getting back behind the wheel bug that's just my anxiety. I was wondering if I should have asked to get baby checked over but she's been kicking away maybe not quite as much as before but they don't have patterns and I'm sure my hormones and adrenaline have masked stuff.

I love your dreams ery lol. Baby is so active in the mornings I feel her more when I first wake up than any other time of day. Can't believe how big they are now aswell!

Going to see a second hand pram today I really like it just need to buy a car seat it's a Britax travel system. Oh is going to see what stuff he has at his mums of his daughters this week aswell so we can sort out what we need to buy. This is the pram

Just got post from the hospital I'm having a scan and consultant appointment every month now from Feb until may to check growth and placenta function and blood flow. Hoping it's just them being cautious after my other issues and not that there was something wrong at the scan

That is a nice looking pram Nikki. I've gone for purple as it was on offer :)

I've got my whooping jab today, hope it isn't as bad as the flu jab where I couldn't lay on my arm for a week. Midwife tomorrow too.

Oh does anyone know if I need a fit to fly note to fly at 25 weeks? Going to look up the airline now, just wondering if I could just say I'm fat and look all offended haha.

Ery, glad to hear you and you're bump are okay. I can imagine the anxiety of getting into the car after that. I had one accident when I wasn't pregnant and that left me anxious for awhile.

I've been debating whether or not to go for a used pram to get an iCandy or something like that or to go for a new one. I've seen a few iCandy's with all accessories that are around a year old and look in excellent condition for under £200. I just can't get over how expensive these things are.

I looked at loads of second hand prams. I think it depends what you want as some seem better value second hand than others. The one I had chosen still seemed to have a high second hand value, so after shopping around I managed to get new for just £100 more than second hand. As we have waited so long for this I decided to go for it and treat myself.

The one I'm looking at is 90 pound but comes with carrycot plus it's parent and forward facing which I wanted I'm driving myself mad looking at prams lol

Yeah, I want a parent facing one. Friends opted for the city mini double, but it was the best twin option for them that folded nicely to fit in their car. It's a great pushchair that works from birth, but it isn't parent facing.

We were considering the mamas & papas urbo2, but it only goes up to 15kg when many of the others we've been looking at go up 25kg. I'd like to have one that will last until he's 2.5-3 at least. Is that realistic? As much time as I've spent taking care of babies/kids, I've never had to buy these things and never paid attention to weight. We are hoping that we'll have a second when this one is around 2, so we may end up having to buy an alternative option anyway.

Snowbee, I think you do need a fit for travel note from doctor, when I went away when pregnant with my son, I was only 20 weeks and needed one. It was for insurance purposes though if I remember correctly. I wouldn't risk it personally as could make insurance invalid should you need any treatment. Where are you planning on going? I would love a little sun holiday before baby arrives but won't happen because of work. I think we will go on one when I am on maternity leave but closer to the end of it so bubs is around 8-9 months old.

What is everyone doing regarding baby showers? I don't really want one but other people seem to think I should, including my OH. I think he wants me to be spoilt for the day but it makes me a little uncomfortable. I hate being the focus of attention and I don't like people to feel obligated to get gifts and the opening of gifts infront of everyone makes me cringe!! xx

As far as I'm aware, there's only an issue if you're further along in your pregnancy (last few weeks), i.e. near to giving birth. I made sure I didn't go through the metal detectors at the airports. I was 18/19 weeks.

I think I'm going with the hauak thing from babies r us. I prefer the carry cot option with that one over the graco plus I already have the graco from my do for when she's bigger x

Kabuk I think with things like icandys and bugaboos you can definitely get a bargain going second hand. Just personal preference I guess!

Have you looked at any of the pushchairs which can be converted to a double just by purchasing a second seat? There are quite a few of them around now...one of the icandys can do it, so can the uppababy vista and britax do one like that too. Might be worth thinking about? However, I had the oyster than became a tandem and I didn't get on with it so went on to get a side by side later on but if you can find a good one may save you the bother of pram shopping again and also means than when this one is big enough to walk everywhere you can downscale it back to a single. X

Anyone else addicted to buying baby stuff? I can not stop myself!! I justify it as its stuff in the sales  xx

Oh also keep forgetting to say that Winstanleys Pramworld have got 10% off everything at the moment for their winter sale. I'm looking at getting a snuz pod and with the discount I can get the mattresss protecter and sheets for as well for only £5 more than its normal RRP. X
