Got a call from the clinic today to say that none of the remaining embryos are suitable for freezing. I asked about the 3rd one we were thinking of getting transferred but he said it was only an early blastocyst so not mature enough. Confused cos I thought they were all blastocysts at the correct stage. Maybe only the 2 we got were, and I misheard? He said its no reflection on the quality of the transferred embryos so not to worry. A bit disappointed cos it would have been nice to have spares in the freezer and avoid all the injections another time. Lets just hope these 2 make it, but it makes me feel more doubtful now.

I just had my scan and it's all happened very quickly this month, only cd11 and I'm ready to trigger tonight as my leading follicle is 18mm, waiting to hear back about iui timing on Friday. I hope the egg is ok having matured so quickly, the first iui that worked was done on cd19 so it'll be 6 days earlier this time. And annoyingly we didn't bd last night as both not been feeling well, thinking we could tonight but now we'll have to abstain and hope that 5 days since hubby last, ahem, had a wank (!) to when he gives his sample is ok...please work, please work xx

I'm sure the egg will be mature if the follicle is that size Dee. It just knew it had to grow quickly in time for the IUI.
We did it the night of the trigger even though it was less than 2 days thinking that would be better than leaving it 4 days and the sample was good.

It's tricky as hubby hasn't the best sperm, nurse said we should now wait as it would have been less than 7 days, I'm going to do some googling...xx

No symptoms yet apart from really sore boobs but that could be the progesterone. They were so sensitive to cold the other day that it really hurt and almost made me feel sick. I was with my dad so had to surreptitiously warm them up under my coat!

All done, back home. It was our consultant who did it this time which was nice as she did the first one which worked so was secretly pleased it was her. Hubby's donation was the highest post wash yet at 15mil all with good motility (they never comment on the morph) so I'm very relieved about that. Will start my progesterone tonight and eat my pineapple...here's to a 2ww with a happy ending.

Fingers crossed your different symptoms mean something good is happening blueflower xx

That sounds promising! I'm on the pineapple too! Is juice ok or do you have to eat the fruit?

It's meant to be the whole pineapple, particularly the core. You slice the pineapple into 5 rings and eat one every day for 5 days. I'm not sure the juice has the same properties though xx

Hey does anyone know if you should avoid sex and/or orgasm during the 2WW? I've googled it but there is conflicting opinion. I was concerned about the uterus contracting and preventing implantation.

Thanks Charlie, good to know that you were told it was fine, I forgot to ask anyone. I decided to see if it feels right or not and then go from there.

We were given a sheet with things to avoid on and things we could continue as normal. OH was happy when it said you can now have intercourse but I set him straight and told him no chance! Didn't want to risk it. Xx

Can you remember what else was on the sheet? We never got anything like that!

No probs :) I just kept away from heat, eat plenty of veg, took my fertility supplements and didn't lift anything. I went on walks and made sure I wasn't sat down for long periods of time too xxx
