I keep bending down too quickly and can feel my ovaries getting squashed!
Had a chat with my dad today and he said I should have bed rest after transfer and make sure we don't go over any potholes in the car! I told him I need to keep my circulation going and explained the jam sandwich thing but what do people think about rest after transfer?

Blueflower - my family are panicking more than me ha! My husband goes away for work on day of egg transfer so mum is coming with me and she wants to spend the night at mine to help with dog, cooking dinner that evening etc. I'm trying to assure them I will be fine but in some ways it's quite nice that they want to. I am off now until nov so plan to take it easy transfer day and day after but will def be out walking the dog each day as like you I think it's good to keep the blood moving. Certainly won't be doing anything strenuous though! Xx

Oh that's nice! DH cooks dinner after EC but not embryo transfer! Have you told your mum the jam sandwich thing?! I will rest for a couple of days just walking round the house then go for walks after that. Kkheartsbaby had bed rest and believes it helped get her bfp so I wondered.

When is your embryo transfer? Are you hoping for blastocysts? Hope you are feeling ok.

I think rest is important so your body heals as quickly as possible before embryo transfer, but then circulation helps healing so I think gentle exercise with lots of rest!

Yes I keep trying to explain but they are having none of it. Think they are just worried as we've been trying for 7 years and have had 3 miscarriages

Transfer is booked in for Monday which is day 5. This is so new to me so guessing that is the best day?

Also, what are your thoughts on 1 or 2 to be transferred? I've been advised 1 due to age (33) but as private I could have 2 of i wanted but they will advise me at the time depending on the quality! Such a minefield of information out there!

So, I've just had the call... Out of 12 eggs. 8 have fertilised with icsi. I'm so pleased! Now for more waiting....!! Xx

actually, funny enough the last hour or so I have started to feel something.. Little similar as feeling I get during ovulation. Hopefully means it is working!

Just got a call from the hospital and they want to increase my dosage of Fostimon slightly from 150 to 225.. Is this bad news and means I am not a good responder?

8s fantastic Nik!! Fx they stay nice and strong over next few days. Yes Blueflower is right, after ET I did almost two days bed/sofa rest with no showers so body wasnt subject to high temps etc lots and lots luck for tomorrow Blueflower xx

That's brilliant Niknak! Yes day 5 is better if you have more so that they can get the best one/ones. It depends how you feel about twins!!

Don't worry MariaIsabella, 150 was quite low to start with anyway, its a lot of guesswork the first time.

I feel like a chicken today! It hurts when I bend forwards!
Nurse yesterday said I could have sips of water tomorrow morning but not till what time so I phoned the out of hours nurse and she said no water after midnight. What do you think I should do?

Are you under GA? I have always stopped eating and drinking I think 6-7 hours before.. What time is EC tomorrow? If you can perhaps don't drink at all after you go to bed if EC is in the morning?

Got E2 results now and was 409 which was still within the normal range but on the lower side. Nurse said they normally don't increase dose if you are above 400 but since I was close they want to increase slightly to give me better odds but told me it was normal. I just hope this doesn't mean I don't have many eggs..

We have to be there at 9.30 but not sure what time EC is. Have you had a scan yet MariaIsabella?
I am going to have my breakfast at 11.30 tonight as my low blood sugar always makes me feel ill after an anaesthetic!

No scan yet.. NHS will do it on day 9 of Stims ( Monday ). Is this normal? Can feel my ovaries now for sure which is good I suppose.
