Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

It might be because I'm a satellite patient but its still bad!
The duty nurse called me in the afternoon and said I should keep on the same dose of the nasal spray and book a scan for Wednesday. I asked her about my lining and she said if it hasn't shed we may have to abandon the cycle. She said sometimes the down regulation doesn't suppress the ovaries enough. So more time on a mini menopause, great! Trying not to think about how delaying will interfere with our plans for October.

Went out to a 40th birthday, had a great time, took the nasal spray with me but didn't have to rush home for injections which was one good thing!

Hope things are going well ladies. Blueflower I agree with complaining its such a scary time anyway without them adding unnecessary stress!

We had to freeze some of Oh sperm this morning as his count is reducing rapidly. roll on ivf xx

Looks like I'll be having my EC Wednesday, all happened much quicker this cycle. Waiting for the call back re timings. Got the fear now! Screwed all my timings up, going to have yo call in sick weds, rearrange child care, I'm hoping this is all a good sign, my baby is throwing everything up in the air before he or she has even been fertilised! Xx

Bless you Lisey xxx I'm not responding better just quicker, not sure if it will have any bearing on the eggs, it'll be 4 days sooner than last time. Worrying I won't get many eggs given they all stopped growing so early last time, I'm all a dither xx

Surely its better for the eggs to have less time on the stimming drugs, everything crossed for you xx

I hope so, I've got really varied sizes, 2x18mm, 1x21mm, 1x17mm, 2x15mm and then another 5 or so 12-14mm. I'm hoping I'll get more than just the 4 larger ones mature, I think it was similar last time and it worked out ok. Given half my embies stopped growing between day 2 and 3 last time I'm worried that 4 or 5 won't give us much to at with xx

Theres still a couple of days for growth, the 15mm and the 12-14mm ones could catch up. Even so, sometimes quality is better than quantity and the ones that are impacted less by drugs are more likely to be better quality so you have a great chance with 4-5 too xx

I do hope so lisey, I'm suddenly rigging when Ive been so calm up to now! Hubby last, ahem, relieved himself this morning so I'm also worrying it won't be long enough to build back up...oh dear, stay calm! Xx

I agree, quality is better than quantity, I have a feeling it will be better for you this time. Annoying about all the organisation though!

Have a question since most of you are really experienced and I have no clue. They have decided to do a protocol where I take Microgynon pills for a couple of weeks before my injections. Has anyone got any experience of this? If so, how long where you on the pills and how long on the injections before EC?

Hi, I always did this so that the clinic can schedule appointments when they are ready for you. I was on the pill for 2-3 weeks, then Down Regulation for one week then stims for about 2 weeks then egg collection.

Remember the nurse mentioned being on the pill for a month, sounds so long!!! I hope it won't be this long since I just want to get on with it.

Its all so hard!

I think that will be enough time, I am sure that's about the same as what we allowed before the EC, I didn't want stale little fellas lol. Have you tried the Zita West to help with relaxation? xx

I've just put the IVF zita west on my phone so will try to listen to it later when Nancy is in bed. We've got to be there 9 am Wednesday and I'm to trigger tonight at 9.30. Just had a mad dash to the clinic to get another vial of pregnyl before it shut...and relax! Xxx

Definately quality rather than quantity that's what our consultant told us...

So 6dp5dt today and I popped in to buy a pregnancy test to do a test in the am as I can't wait any longer and I stupidly did one this afternoon with really dilute urine and got a very faint line!!!!!! How do I post a pic????? I need reassurance that this could be my BFP! Rang my mum and told her in my excitement now feel a bit silly and I hope I have not got her hopes up!! Been feeling different last couple of days and a bit queasy! After the test I felt really really sick but that might have just been nerves as gone now!? I don't have sore boobs just weird feelings in tummy and backache like my period might come then it goes off... Do u think this is all good ladies? Feel so excited but yet not confident at all!!!! Xxx why did I not just wait til the morning for a more clear result! Xx
