no its not until saturday! because i am a natural FET my period is due before my test date!! xx yippee you can see it! i showed some of the girls at work and they could see it! i probable should'nt have done just in case but i could not concentrate on work at all!!!! xx i hoping the retching is good, i was so hot last night and felt sick all night but they could have been my excitment! its so hard to know! wish i could just feel excited and not question everything! i think the girls at work think i am insane! ha ha ha xx

As for me I 'm back home from my egg collection and in bed feeling crappy, really sick, I don't do sedation well! They got 9 eggs, was hoping for a couple more than last time but at least it's a decent amount. Hubby's sperm was fine for normal IVF, 16mil/ml with 60% fast swimmers and 10% normal morph so fingers crossed for good fertilisation. I'd been meaning to ask about embryo glue but only remembered today and it's too late now as they have to order it in, bit gutted about that. Felt the collection more than last time too, weird as the sedation has affected me more. Going to listen to my zita west and try to sleep the nausea off xx

Great you have it done and 9 doesn't sound bad at all! Could you not choose to be put to sleep during EC? I will for sure ask for that since I hate scans, HSGs etc. and assume EC would be worse?

Think we will have to do ICSI since boyfriend has 0% morphology.. does anyone know it the success rate is lower with ICSI than with normal IVF?

We are having ICSI I don't think the chances are reduced with it. It's the best chance for your eggs to be fertilised xxx

ICSI is the best option if sperm is an issue, we had half ICSI & half normal ivf the first time to see which was better and the ivf ones fertilized more. But apparently dodgy sperm can still fertilize eggs, the embryo just doesn't make it.

Hope you feel better soon Dee, were you just sedated? I always fall into a deep sleep, could be due to not eating for ages!

My cycle will probably be cancelled, cysts are 22mm and 10mm and lining is 8.7mm! Its as if I'm mid cycle!! Had so many problems I'm relieved really. It can be a practice for the real thing and at least I have all the drugs ready now!

I was sedated but I could still feel everything and was aware which was like last time but I seem to have been much more affected by it for some reason. After my general last year with my lap I had to be admitted I was so sick so I definitely wouldn't want a GA! It's not that marialsabella, just uncomfortable really xx

I love GA Love the feeling of falling asleep and never feel sick after. Guess its very individual.

Dee 9 is great u r going to get some quality eggs out of those and some quality embryos fingers crossed for you Hun!!

Blueflower, why are things never straight forward! But like you say it's a good practice run and it's more important ur body is in the right state and u r not too stressed which u have been, at least u can relax now and prepare better? It's disapoointing though because u feel u r constantly waiting and on hold!!

My friend got her positive pregnancy test from 1st ICSI today so they do work!

I am going insane!! My period is due today and I have intense backache just like I do when my period is arriving but I have no spotting, I don't have sore boobs and I had diarrhoea today again just like I do the day before AF. I am usually like clockwork though and today should be CD 1 for me so full flow, when I check my cervix there is no sign of AF but it feels like it will happen any minute! I just can't feel excited, I am really anxious and worried that AF is coming!!! Xx

Thanks for all your replies regarding ICSI! Bit scared boyfriends swimmers will be slightly improved after the latest test ( still waiting for results ) and they will do only IVF and create bad embryos.. Now I want them to pick the best ones!

Try not to worry Lou, we all read so much into all symptoms so I am sure all is fine and you are pregnant! If you are like clockwork it sounds really promising. Have you taken another test?

A question to all you ladies, what percentage did the doctor give you for success doing IVF?

Our consultant said 50%!!

I think if they were 0% and hopefully increase slightly they would still do ICSI as normal IVF would only be for if the sperm was very good.

We were told 25% success rate then 35% once we got to transfer stage.

Spoke to the nurse at the Lister, she told me to take the trigger shot to release the eggs/cysts, expect a bleed in a couple of weeks then take the pill for about 12 days before down regulating. Only problem is there was no Ovitrelle in my drugs pack so I have to chase that up tomorrow! Once that's done I'll feel quite relieved and be able to start next time more prepared!

Wow I feel like ive missed so much, had a busy couple of days so not been on. I have everything crossed for you lou, sounds promising.

I have a question for you ladies and I apologise in advance for tmi, I started my withdrawal bleed last wednesday following down regulation which was horrendous. I was in so much pain even after taking painkillers that I took my lunch break mega early (11am!) and went home and laid on the sofa for an hour. Anyway my periods usually last 6 days with the last 3 days being very light and brown in colour. This happened this time also but just when I thought it was about to finish yesterday it seems to have almost gone back into full swing again and proper red again. Is this normal and is it just different because its a withdrawal bleed and not a regular period? I have started stims today (150 units of Gonal F). I nearly rang the clinic today but didnt want to sound stupid as im sure it sounds quite normal to bleed for 7 days even though it doesnt seem normal to me. Am I being paranoid or should I ring the clinic? Do you think it matters that I am now stimming and still bleeding. Sorry for the long post but any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry, no experience of this Poispinner but I think that if you have any questions at all I would call the clinic.. That's what they are there for.

I am sure its completely normal your period is a bit different with all the hormones changing but just for your peace of mind call them.

That happened to me, I thought the period was finished and then started up again, I had a scan that showed there was still blood there so I wasn't able to start the stim drugs, had to continue with down regulation. Have you had a scan before starting the stims? xx

I'd give the clinic a call poispinner to put your mind at rest, they must have dealt with hundreds of scenarios so best to call in.

I've had the nerve wracking call from the embryologist and 7 of the 9 fertilised so not as many to play with as last time but the embryologist seemed positive. Just preying half don't stop growing this time after 2 days. Feel really nervous! And I can't stop blowing off! The joys! X
