Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

That's great Maria! An ideal number! I'm sure they will survive, you are young so will probably have some spares for freezing too.

That does sound promising Niknak, even though you don't want to symptom spot feeling thirsty is a good sign!

What CD are you on Phoenixgirl? And what did you decide about the party?

Yes its a natural FET but lots of drugs to support!! Booked my scan for this week, just have to pray that the embryo testing goes well!

Brilliant news Maria.
Keeping everything crossed for you.

When's OTD Niknak?

Fab news things are moving quickly Blueflower.

Hi I'm on day 17 of buserelin, the first 2 weeks were ok with minor side effects however the last 3 days I'm experiencing quite bad stomach pains. They only seem to start after I've eaten but then they are are continuous. Has anyone else experienced this? The pain is really quite bad.

Main different thing I've had over the last few days is the urgency in going to the toilet. I drink a lot anyway so used to regular toilet trips but can normally hold it in for a bit but now I'm noticing that I suddenly just have to go and can't hold it. Does that make sense?

That is the first thing I noticed in the tww. The increased trips for a wee!! Especially during the night, which I never normally need! Fingers crossed its a good sign x

I'm only on CD16 :-/ I usually ovulate around CD10 and had lots of EWCM then too. Now I have lots of creamy CM so I doubt it is ov spotting. I hope it doesn't continue all the way up to AF.

I have decided not to go although he hasn't said anything about it since...

I think I will turn up for the scratch anyway (it is only two days away).

That's brilliant Maria so pleasedx
Nik nac that all sounds very positive to me keep up the good work!! Xx

Thanks everyone x

Melc - it's 31st oct - eek!

I've come up to bed already, feel like I could sleep for England ha x

Hoping your phone call brings fabulous news this morning Maria.

How are you feeling this morning? xx

Thanks everyone :)

Great you have started the countdown to transfer Blueflower! I understand the nervous wait to see how the embryos are doing but I am sure it will be fine, you have 13 frozen right?

Good luck Niknak!! Testing very soon and all sounds promising! Are you not tempted to test early. Not a good idea I know but I think I would be very tempted.

I understand about how men can be very insensitive sometimes ( without realizing ) Phonixgirl! I know my man wants the best for me but sometimes he just doesn't think :). They cant understand how we feel and what we are going though even if I am sure they try. If you speak to him calmly and explain your feelings he will understand. I have a tendency of being a bit dramatic and all worked up when I get frustrated and have noticed it is not good to speak to DH then. Always better when you are calm.

Feeling ok today and not in as much pain as yesterday, haven't even taken painkiller today! Mostly sitting or lying in the sofa though. I still haven't got the phone call and so nervous! What can I expect when it comes to numbers? DH explained to me he had a chat for 30 minutes with the embryologist after the semen had been delivered and she said we have 12 good eggs and his semen is good for normal IVF, she even asked why we are doing IVF since we had good numbers on both sides and both were so young!!! I think I want to kiss her now haha :).

What do you think when she said 12 good egg, has she already taken out the ones not mature etc.?

Funny thing, could not stop laughing when DH explain how he had to bring the box with my eggs to the other hospital where they do the embryos.. He said there were lots of uncomfortable looking guys running around with similar boxes all waiting to go into the rooms where they had to come up with the semen sample.

x

Got the call now, 10 fertilized so happy with that! Booked in for transfer Thursday so 3 day transfer if they can decide on the best embryo, if not Saturday. Asked her why not go to 5 days and she said its not better to go to 5 days if they can spot the best embryo since the best environment is the womb. Have you heard similar info?

Now I will just relax until Thursday!

Yay that's brilliant news :)

Put your feet up and relax lovely xx

A have a stupid question ... at what point after embryo transfer do we test? xx

Hi Mel... my OTD was 14dp5dt which is equivalent to 19dpo! I of course caved and tested 13dpo :) xx

That's a great number Maria! No they can't tell which eggs are good, they just see which one fertilise. Our clinic always tries to go to Blastocyst if there are plenty left on day 3 and you can't pick out a good one. But if some have arrested before then, they would pick the ones with the most cells to transfer. You get a blood test, that's good! I have to just call them and tell them what the HPT says! Although my new clinic might be different. Its funny your DH had to take your eggs in a box to be put with the sperm!!

I have 11 embryos in the freezer, we had 13 collected and 11 fertilised. Nurse said its a natural FET cycle and I've got a scan on Thursday. Feeling a bit better now about having to wait for the test and will worry about transfer when the time comes!

It's exciting in this thread at the moment! All sounding really positive :) I keep checking on everyone, great to see everything is generally going well for people xx

Aww, I'm so pleased for both of you! I do like the image in my head of all the men running around with the eggs in the boxes waiting to provide their sample to put with them! Hahahaaaa. I think they do it just because it makes the guys extremely uncomfortable. Modern times, eh?

I have had no spotting today so hopefully the scratch will go ahead as planned. I'm now just a bit concerned that my infection tests aren't up to date but too late to get that done.

I was speaking with a girl at work about all this. She is under the same clinic and also got told she has polycystic ovaries (she is thin too). Straight away she got given a whole list of supplements to take and sent for an MRI (I haven't had that), plus a referral to the endocrine clinic. She also got told to sort her body out before proceeding with any treatment which I think was great advice. Unfortunately I got a different consultant and did not receive that excellent advice. Just goes to show the difference a good consultant can make. X

Arrrrggghhh. DH is really stressing me out again.

I emailed to book the acupuncture appointment. He is angry at me now because he thinks we can't afford it (I said I would use savings). I told him I want this more than anything but he says that doesn't mean I have to throw every penny at it. I'm not but why wouldn't you? I do want it more than anything and have nothing else to spend my money on.

I'm really starting to doubt that he wants this now.
