Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Hope things continue to progress as they should then! :D

I'm not looking forward to lubion and cyclogest again
I've got lubion to start the same time as cyclogest and I found them so painful, the area always got super irritated

I thought it was just me. Lubion is so painful afterwards, sometimes I can't bend down, and it's leaving bruises

Yep it's no fun :(
I had bruises too, after my bfn it took a week for the bruises to be gone completely, was a horrible reminder of another failed cycle.

Hi ladies, today the clinic called me and said that the actual consultant wants to scan me next week rather than the nurse and can I go in early because she will do it before the clinic starts. Apparently she thinks what the nurse thought was a fybroid is something else, she said 'try not to worry but the consultant wants to scan you herself' the nurse didnt want to give anything away, when I pushed her for what it might be she said a cyst. My appointment isnt until Wednesday and I am so worried, really trying to hold it together, got lots of things going through my head, like what if its something serious or will they cancel my cycle because of it? If any of you have any knowledge of this I would really appreciate you sharing it with me xxx

Try not to worry xx I know a few ladies who have had cysts. Some have burst on their own (very painful but gone) but most have needed to be removed by the op I've just had. You never know, maybe this was causing your problems? It's good they found it. Xx

MrsLaw - really glad the Lubion and suppositories are working. I will be on injections next time...

Millie - I don't think our holiday plans are working out either. We've not got much money but DH is looking at holidays in the Caribbean... then his parents want to come but there's a strong chance sadly his beautiful mum has cancer :-( (hospital are really messing her around) xxx

Hopeful, I hope you are doing okay. :( x

Phonix, I'm so sorry to hear that. I thought hospitals we're really good about that! :( My dad recently had a cancerous mole and they had him in and out so fast that my parents weren't even going to tell me! I'm sorry they're messing her around I hope she will be ok?

I got myself a little worried. Searching about fet's (even though my clinic have explained the process) and I read about down reg and prostap injection before the cycle, now either my clinic doesn't do that or they forgot? And I've completely forgotten it they want me to start estrogen on day1 or wait if it's a weekend ahhh I don't know :(

I'm out of pregnacare so now feel like I'm taking a million different vitamins again
might say sod it and just stick with Folic and Vit D

Hi Girls
I am back to update my progress... Having my IVF this sat a bit excited +++ Anxious... After all the blood test and many gronatropins finally the day comes for egg collection... Hope this will work for me after 5 X IUI... Praying hard.... Girls is it painful after you wake up from the egg collection??? Need some advise....
Thanks...

May, is your egg collection this Sat? or are you just starting the ivf Meds? Good luck either way, hope it goes well!

The only part I didn't like about egg collection was the sedation itself (cause 2 out of the 3 times I've been sick afterwards ugh)
you should feel no pain when you wake up but maybe a little uncomfortable or fragile

Hi Millie

It is this sat for egg collection.... IVF Injection all done... nice to hear that there is no pain.... you having your frozen cycle this july???

Exciting :D
How have you got on with everything so far?
Hope it goes well for you!

Yep! Im just waiting for period to start then I can start taking estrogen tablets, could be any day as now am on cd28. This cycle is dragging!

Good luck May with your collection. It is not too painful afterwards but I got really bloated. My advice is to drink lots of water x

Millie

Heard from my gynae more than 10 follicles.... biggest is 17 and smallest is 10... readings are taken on wednesday so i assume would be bigger by tomorrow i pray.... Hope for more eggs retrieval as i read on the internet some follicle may not have egg in it.... Praying very hard i hope for at least 10 i will be very contended than anything.... finger crossed XX

I Hope things turns out better for you this cycle... one of my frd got a singlet from her frozen cycle... Praying for you too....

Yes they can still grow before tomorrow :)

Thank you, I hope so too! It's our last go for a very long time.
Very lucky that both cycles have been nhs funded - after this fet we have to find somewhere else and pay ourselves. We could get together the money but we're saving for a house too so that comes first. :(

Hi ladies, I hope you're all doing well. I've lost touch with this feed a little but hope the treatments are going well for you all. I was hoping for some advice? Some of you may remember that I fell pregnant in March just before my IVF was due to start - unfortunately we lost our baby at almost 16 weeks just 2 weeks ago. My waters broke unexpectedly and so I had to go through a managed miscarriage, which includes labour to deliver the baby. I've had a couple of weeks to get my head back together and try and start the healing process but I'm thinking now about what we will do when we ever become ready to start again. Basically, I'm wondering when we do get there, whether to go straight into having IVF or whether to try again naturally for a few months before I put myself through it? As many of you may remember it took us a long time to get this far, it's now 3 years, 1 early miscarriage and one heartbreaking late one. I am waiting for autopsy results on the baby and placenta to know if there were any problems but based on you all having been through the IVF process I'd be really interested to know your thoughts. Knowing the emotional and physical stress of it, would you do it straight away and bypass the trying naturally in order to bypass more wasted time, or would you give it time before putting your mind and body through it?

Apologies for commandeering your feed, if this isn't appropriate on here I will post elsewhere, I really hope you don't mind it was just because I'd got to know a few of you previously when I was about to start the IVF before and now I'm back at square one but feeling totally empty, heartbroken and exasperated by the whole thing, I don't really know what to do for the best. I almost feel guilty talking about starting again but at the same time, I have to. I hope you understand.

1sttimer I'm so sorry to hear that :( I can't even imagine what you're going through.
I think if I were you I'd take time out from ttc until I felt fully ready, maybe while ntnp? Then go straight back into ivf.

Only you know how you feel though, look after yourself x

Hi Millie

Just finish extracting My golden eggs... Total extracted 26 so now waiting for the fertilized results... Not sure how many can be fertilized ? By the way I had abdominal pain once I woke up... Not sure if is a bad sign!!! Anyone has the same sign ?

That's great May :) will they let you know the result tomorrow? Or do you have to wait til Monday?
*fingers crossed for you*
Hope you're starting to feel okay x
