So happy for you!!! Now i am waiting for my transfers.... Its a long wait till Sep!!!! Balance 10 embies but dont know how many will be left after thawing process for my 1st transfer.... Worried...... Anyone have transferred and went successful at the 1st time??? Pls share !!!

it'll be here before you know it! do you know roughly when your cycle will start in sept? will it be earlier in the month or later?

I asked about thawing at my treatment plan and if it was always successful but they couldn't give me any percentages, it sounded like it was more successful for it to thaw out okay then for it to not though.

try not to worry too much just yet, you've got a good number there but hopefully you'll only need the 1

I have to wait till my Aug AF to arrive and then doctor can predict my sep transfer... My guess is around mid sep if no hiccups.... ya i hope so... Lots of resting & praying too.... Take care of yourself yeah... Cant wait to know if is a boy or girl for you....

I must admit I have only skim read the last few pages of the thread so I hope everyone else is doing ok too 😊

As for me, I received an email from the clinic last week. They have found an altruistic donor who is, on paper, a good match for me. I have agreed to go for these eggs if all is well when she attends my clinic and the testing and matching is done. Not getting too excited yet as it is very early days but it's definitely a step on the right direction 😊 Xx

But when i read more about egg retrieval process then i realised my results were not that bad after all.... i am looking forward to sep but its a long wait!!!!! Hopefully you get some good news too pls update frequently yeah!!!

So far I'm 'mostly' totally fine. I've felt a bit bloated, a little queasy here and there and had some twinges but nothing much yet! I've lost interest in sweet things which is unlike me as normally I have such a sweet tooth but really don't care for anything sweet at the moment!

Hi Ladies, update on me and looking for advice / experiences.
I had my egg collection yesterday, it seem to go really well, they told me 21 eggs and they all seemed really pleased.
They have just called me yesterday to say that it was actually 23 eggs and only 6 fertilized. I am so worried when they call me Sunday that none of the 6 would have made it. I read that really 60/70% should fertilize?
They think we have a fertilize/miscommunication problem with the sperm and the egg and she said if we go through it again she recommends ICIS.
What do you guys think? Has anyone else experienced this? I am so scared xxx

I just wanted to reassure you, I had 13 collected, 6 fertilised, had two embryos transferred, one of which implanted and gave me the 11 week old baby girl I am holding now. Also have one frozen.
6 is a good number, keep positive xx

Thanks Lisey that's really kind of you. Did you have day 3 or day 5 transfer? They said at my initial consultation approx 8 weeks ago I would have 1 put back in. Do you think they might change their mind and put 2? xxx

With first IVF I had day 3, with this one I had day 5. They gave us the choice of one or two. We were private and they do tend to give more choice, are you private or NHS? You could always ask them xx

Thank you for replying Lisey. I am private too. The plan was for me to hopefully have a 5 day transfer but now with the low fertilisation I am worried I won't get to day 5. Do you mind me asking why you had day 3 the first time and how many eggs the first time?

As we are both unexplaiined as partner has great semen and previous children and I have reg periods, had all the checks tubes everything and all working well, I guess when trying to be positive it's good to know it's the fertilisation that is likely thea problem they recommend ICIS next time xxx

Yes May, I collected 45 eggs and froze just 6 in the end I think it was.
Hopefulmum, glad your egg collection went well! Your eggs are in good hands so FX! Try not to stress. I would recommend you drink loadsss of water, you can drink Gatorade which I got from Tesco and also coconut water was helpful.

Thanks MrsLaw I am going to go shopping tomorrow to get all the essentials ready for Tuesday so will definitely get some. I read on internet not to drink anything cold? Did you drink at room temperature?

How are you feeling? Just noticed on your signature that your having twins do you mind me asking did you have two embryos put back in? xx
