Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

So far so good! I believe I've got my BFP! Just have a long wait until test date and bloods to confirm x
Congrats on your new home! Amazing, it's not easy buying a place
MrsLaw this is such great news, really pleased for you! When if official test day and how are you feeling? Xxx

Thanks! Official test day is not until the 23rd. I'm feeling fine to be honest, not had any real symptoms...just insomnia but it could be down to the weather

This is so exciting! I am on down reg at the moment. Do you mind me asking is this your first BFP since you first started ttc? And also did you get any to freeze? Just interested as we both have PCO. Also one last question what drugs did you down reg on? Xxx

So exciting lol! Yes this is my first bfp, I had a false positive once from a dodgy test but this is my first time with a real bfp. We managed to freeze 6 eggs in the end. I was only on Norethisterone tablets for my down reg and was on the lowest doses for stimming due to pco

Congrats MrsLaw! :D

tinselcat, I really wish I could fit acupuncture in but I have no way of getting there for it :(

Can't believe my treatment plan is on Tuesday, I'm not feeling good about it. :(

MrsLaw - That's great 6 to freeze I am not so nervous about the egg collection but just the results of how many and quality etc.

What's everyone's thoughts on what to do after transfer? They say carry on like normal but part of me is thinking a couple of days on sofa? MrsLaw what did you do after your transfer? xxx

Good luck tomorrow millie, positive thoughts.
Hopeful, I took a few days of work after the transfer but I just carried on as normal. I needed more rest after the collection tbh, transfer is pretty straight forward.

MrsLaw, I'm so pleased for you. How are you feeling? 6 frosties is amazing too!!

Hopeful, transfer is absolutely fine. I went straight out for the day after it and then away for a little holiday the day after (although took it easy).

Millie lots of luck for your plan tomorrow, are you feeling any better about it?

20%, sorry to hear that hun, how horrible for you. When is your surgery happening? I hope you're feeling better soon.

How exciting about your house move Tinsel, it's so stressful now but will be so worth it. Everything crossed new house new baby!! xx

Millie - that's a shame. I was lucky to find an acupuncturist ten mins walk from my current home who does fertility acupuncture and an employer who lets me work from home once a week.

Hope your treatment plan meeting goes well xx

Hopefulmum - I've always just carried on as normal the day after egg collection (didn't have a choice though!) had ivf 4 times, 1 baby, the lack of success the other three times was down to embryo quality

Mrs S - yes, new house new baby would be amazing! I will certainly be less stressed when I'm outta here. The rent is insane, every month I lose money :(

Mrs law - any symptoms yet? :)

Thanks everyone, I hope to take a few days off after transfer. I have my down reg scan next week, I am worried they will say it hasn't worked and I will have to DR for longer and everything will then be put back has that ever happened to anyone? I have mild PCO so they have put me on lowest dose of drugs. Also my periods r very regular would have been due 4 days ago today and still no withdrawal bleed? xx

Wow, huge congrats MrsLaw!

Good luck today Millie xxx

I had my laparoscopy and hysteroscopy yesterday. I was much better with the anaesthetic this time although I did feel faint at one point and still found it hard to wee. I did go home that evening though.

They told me the results whilst I was still drowsy and DH wasn't there but I'm pretty sure they said everything was normal. They also said about sending a sample off to a lab. Does this mean they can't see any endo but the lab would have to rule it out 100%?

DH is very frustrated and feels like we are going round in circles. He said the operation was a waste of time and now we have to wait 2/3 months for a follow-up. He said again he wants to stop. I am really struggling right now and have nobody. Xx

I'll have a proper read and catch up when I'm home but today was kinda ok
Apart from the heat (hours drive in car with no air con)

Thankfully they gave us all the drugs we need ready to start in july and no more drives back to hospital until somewhere mid cycle for 1st scan I believe!
I'm worried about our Embryo not thawing out okay, they didnt have any percentages on thawing failure for me though :(
Blah this heat.

Didn't need the pregnant woman sat next to me in the pharmacy!!! I was doing ok til then, she was flicking through her pregnancy notes, couldn't she wait til she got home! :(
I hate the jealous bitter parts of me while ttc!

Argh how annoying! I hate being on the ward with the preg women after my ops like I was yesterday.

Good luck for your FET Millie xx I thawed out two and they were ok so hopefully yours will be too :-) stay positive my love xx

I'm glad everything went okay Katie but it is extremely frustrating if they're saying everything is okay. How are you recovering? Your hubby will just be really frustrated at the moment and probably need some time. When you have a set back it's so hard to pick yourself up and keep going! Is there any plans for you from here?

Millie I'm glad you're all set and ready to go, and not needing any trips back to the hospital. I have everything crossed your embaby thaws perfectly and this is your forever baby! Xx

Hopeful, after transfer I just took it easy, I did have sedation though. After a couple of days I was kinda back to normal. My acupuncturist said avoid hoovering, no idea if it makes a difference.

Tinsel, that's really lucky! The closest I could find that did fertility acupuncture is 40min drive :( and I don't drive so it's very awkward for me to get to and I wouldn't feel comfortable going on public transport afterwards. Maybe I'll have to see if there's something I can do for relaxation at home.

Phonix, hope you are doing okay today. I don't really know anything about Endo sorry. I know the struggle :(

I'm "trying" to book a mini holiday with family (my parents and hubbys parents) so I have something to look forward too! Seems a little complicated but I'm hoping we work something out! Don't see enough of family and need to get away!

Thanks ladies.

I've got to wait 2/3 months for a follow-up appointment so really not sure what the next steps are. A friend has offered to be a surrogate if we need it and DH seems quite keen on that idea. I'd like to maybe try injectables though. Don't see why they can't sort my cycles out?!

Millie, we need a get away too. We have done a lot of work on the house though so don't have much money to play with. As for fertility acupuncturists, I found one close by but I did find some fertility reflexologists willing to go to your home if you've looked into that? I know it's not the same though x

Phonix, glad your op went well and pain-free. Hopefully DH can come round to understanding that it wasn't a waste of time, it's better to know what's up with your body than to be in the dark.

Millie, I've heard that FETs have as great a chance in comparison to fresh embies, I'm sure yours will defrost nicely. I totally get your frustration towards the pregnant woman haha!

I could really do with a holiday too, it's funny how when it's hot abroad it's wonderful but then heat in this country is unbearable.

Hi ladies, little update on me, just got back from my appointment to see if down reg has worked and it doesn't look like it has, they have had to take a blood sample to confirm and I will find out tomorrow. She could see one follicle and also come across something that looks like a fibroid that she hasn't noticed before, she doesn't think its anything to worry about but needs to get it checked by consultant. If it hasn't worked I won’t be able to start stimms and will have to continue sniffing for another week then go for another scan and if the follicle is still active, I will then have to go to the clinic an hour away (I am with satellite clinic near me) for them to do something to the follicle. Feeling really disappointed about it, its such a worry when things don’t go to plan and you cant help thinking if it will ever happen can you. Feels like my whole life is on hold at the moment. Its out of my hands though so will just have to go with it. The other thing is I had planned to have some time off around ET as I run my own business therefore that might not be possible now if other members of staff are off and I am worried being at work with the stress will stop implantation xx

phonix, hope the next few months go fast for you. thats great you have a friend offered to be a surrogate! hopefully you won't need it.

mrslaw, it's passed otd for you right? still got your bfp? :D

hopeful, I'm so sorry how things are going right now :( I don't know anything about down reg as both mine with short protocol but I hope everything speeds up and works out for you

It's starting to look like the holiday plans won't work out :(

Hey hopeful, it's all down to your body now, nothing you can control. Hope it all works out. Even if you can't get time off work, take time outs during the day to rest... you're the boss! Lol

Millie, yes I still have my bfp thanks. My progesterone was low though so they started me on Lubion injections and cyclogest pessaries both twice daily. Found out today it's working and my levels have gone up so fingers crossed. I'm really tired now though of all this prodding and sticking things in and up me now, sorry TMI
