I am good! Excited for transfer on Monday but nervous about the thawing and sedation

Why sedation for transfer ? Its a little uncomfortable but not painful really. I got to watch the whole thing on the screen xxxx
Feeling shitty today. Quite bad headache they paracetamol wont shift 😐

My first ivf cycle/transfer wasn't under sedation and they had a real hard job with the transfer as I have a really awkward cervix apparently. They got there eventually but it was uncomfortable for me and difficult for them. So they recommended for our second ivf round that the transfer was under sedation, had that in April last year and was easier for everyone. Soooo this frozen embryo they've said sedation would be best again, so just going with what they said really!
Hope the headache passes soon! all the extra hormones make so many symptoms.. makes the mind wonder.. hope you have a speedy tww xx

CCW that’s probably the progesterone. The joy (not) of ivf is all the hormones you’re on during the tww mimic pregnancy symptoms, it’s impossible to know what’s what. Drink loads and loads of water.

My girls were born a few days ago, such beauties! Looking at them reminds me of the journey Ive had. Please make sure you all stay strong and keep persevering! Good luck over the next few weeks and months

Nice to see you! I always wonder how everyone from the class of 2010/11 is getting on!
I have a young son now and am single, so trying for another the hard/expensive way!
I've an appointment tomorrow with Zita West, let's see if they can be more helpful than my current consultant who basically told me to forget it working!

Embryo is on board!
Thawed out okay with a 90% chance of survival and reinflated perfectly!
Transfer went well! Sedation wasn't really needed much in the end. They said they wanted to try without but prepped everything just in case. Was only given tiny amounts and painkillers in the end, so feeling good now!
12th Feb is official test date xx

Oh I've been and done it the hard way too.... split up with the ex when little one was 18 months, quit my job and quit everything. Went back into full time education and have recently qualified as a midwife, which stressful but I love it. Getting married in July, so will be immediately back on the TTC train xx
