Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Had my egg collection yesterday. We got 9 mature eggs retrieved!
Waiting for that phone call to tell me how many fertilised!
Hopefully as long as I git at lest 1 to transfer we are looking at 25th
Very close to you Millie!

Yay! How exciting CCW
Hope all went well with egg collection and you didn't feel too rubbish after
Hope you get the news soon
*got my fingers crossed for you*
xx

That’s great news ccw.

Tinsel, I would definitely get a second opinion. I’ve met a couple of women out here in Athens who have been told by clinics to move onto donor but have found places that will let them keep trying with own eggs - some of them were successful and some not. AFC is antral follicle count, they count the follicles on your ovaries, along with amh it gives an idea how you will respond to ivf, amongst other things. Like amh, it declines as you get older. Your amh isn’t bad for your age I don’t think?

How is it going Syd, CCW and anyone else cycling right now?

They're hoping my transfer will be on Monday, lining is 9.1mm now, seems a long time to wait!
I'm starting progesterone pessarys and injections weds

Now starts the longesttttt week ever!

I'm waiting for the witch, she's expected on the 1st of February and starting rekovelle on the 2nd.. soo excited for first icsi I'm almost crying every time I think of it, as we've been fighting the healt-care-system for several years before they actually did a check up to figure out I'm practically sterile.

ccw hope you got a good phone call xx

millie - I have everything crossed for you!

tigerpaws - good luck. It took me 3 icsis to get my baby, I hope yours is sooner :)

syd - thanks! I have booked an appointment with ZW, and just reserved a whole bunch more donor stuff. My poor credit card :( I suspect my diet has been responsible for a lot of damage (protein light, sugar heavy, deficient in all sorts of stuff), but the standard doctor doesn't factor that sort of stuff in when I ask for advice.

I still don't know how I feel about donor eggs. Although I don't want to put myself through as many more IVF cycles as I've just reserved donations for, so I guess there's a part of me that's accepting it may be a possibility?

xx

XMillie what thickens does your lining have to be to get the transfer?
Thank you tinsel, I'm so excited, our hopes are up!
Starting a knitting project this weekend for future baby to stay positive during the process.

Millie that's great news and a fantastic lining. I'm just ahead of you, lining was only 7mm last Thursday but was 10mm yesterday and trilaminar. My donor had egg collection yesterday so my transfer will be Saturday. I had to hedge my bets on booking flights as booking last minute from Hong Kong would be too expensive so I'm in Athens all this week.

Tiger, I think most clinics look for lining to be over 8mm, some say 7mm I believe.

Tinsel, moving to donor is a big deal, even more so when you already have a child from own eggs, it's great to have a back up plan but don't get pushed into it. See how you get on with ZW, I don't know if traveling abroad is an option for you but Penny at Serum is fantastic about helping people try with own eggs when other clinics have said no.

Tinselcat, thank you. I hope all goes well for you with your appointment at ZW

Tigerpaws, I don't remember what they said was needed but they said my lining was more than enough to move forward towards transfer. I'm so pleased I don't need a second scan.

Syd, wow our test dates will be close! Are you on any medication? I have to stay on 4 pills of Estradiol/estrogen a day. They're driving me a little nuts now.

They will be close Millie :) I'm on all sorts... Clexane injections, aspirin, steroids, 5mg folic acid, 4 x estrogen orally and 2 x estrogen as suppositories, 4 x progesterone pessaries daily and from Saturday there will be an additional 2 progesterone orally. If I'm not shoving something in one end I'm shoving it in the other!!! Sorry for the image.

Oh gosh.. that is quite a lot! And I was feeling annoyed about my 4 little daily estrogen pills! Lol

Other than those for now I just take pregnacare and low dose aspirin. I don't remember if we tried that with our last cycle so figure it's worth a go..

Ok.. because 7mm is the thinnest lining they will do transfer where I live. I suspect my linings are too thin in natural cycles, as it had been measured to 7mm the day before my period.. not really sure how that works.. it's not supposed to get thinner before I start bleeding, right? I don't have spotting before the witch..

Btw, maybe some of you ladies have tried rekovelle?
It's so new the only person I have ever heard of using it is a girl from anther forum that's starting them this week..

I'm not sure what lining my clinic said was needed
Meds will help with lining if yours is too thin

I've never heard of rekovelle

Hey girls!

Sorry I ain’t been around!

I had my transfer today! All 5 of my babies got to day 3, today, day 5 we transferred an early blastocyte and the remaining 4 were still a bit slower. They will continue to grow them but not too sure they will make it.
