Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

Just been through a whole nother ivf cycle with donor swimmers. Today was test day. Negative

Had really bad results with the embryologist though - 8 collected, 4 immature, 3 fertilised abnormally leaving only one embryo which was graded at 2 (4 being great and 1 being rubbish) which they put back the very next day.

Feel like I'm never going to get pregnant now. I don't have a partner so it's as many chances as I can afford to pay for which is now very limited and I'll be 40 next year.

Sorry to hear that hon. Hugs. Do you think you’ll try and freeze some eggs in prep for when you can afford a full cycle?

Unfortunately egg freezing is pretty much the same cost as doing a regular ivf cycle (but without the cost of the donor stuff) - I tried it age 38 but they only got three eggs suitable to freeze and asked me to consider doing fresh cycles after that as it has a better chance.

When I heard the embryo results this cycle I pretty much felt that was it for me but Im hoping I can have one or maybe two goes before I completely give up forever :-/

I was thinking about trying serum as I've heard do many good things about them but sounds like they're going through a difficult time right now.

Didn't have anywhere else to say this where anyone would understand...

I've worked with a woman now at two different companies. She's fine. Unfortunately she announced her first pregnancy a few weeks after I lost my pregnancy at over 12 weeks, and now she's announced her second just days after my fifth ivf round failed. In no way do I feel as devastated as after the miscarriage but I still feel a bit shitty. can't say anything to anyone at work and I don't have any friends around me to talk to. Sigh

Tinsel I'm so sorry, for the negative and for the pregnancy announcement. Totally understand where you're coming from, I absolutely hate hearing pregnancy announcements however happy I am for the person doing the announcing. The one advantage of ttc at my advanced age is none of my friends are trying to get pregnant any more! However two people at work had babies earlier this year around my first due date and someone else has just announced at work and will be due 10 days before what would have been my current due date. Fortunately she's London based and I'm now Hong Kong based so I won't actually have to see her.

Re Serum, that's who I'm cycling with next. They are having a hard time after the devastating news but I have to say Penny is amazing. I know of so many people that have been out there since he died and they've all seen her, she's told all of them that this is what is keeping her going and she needs to hear good news from them all to make her happy. I couldn't be happier with my treatment there. I'm flying out for the weekend in two weeks time (fun trip from Hong Kong...) for a hysto and then will cycle with donor eggs in January.

I can't remember your full situation so apologies but could donor eggs be an option for you?

Tomorrow will be my second try on my IVF.... Transferring 2 three days embryo, anyone has any experience for transfer a 3d embryo and make it to pregnancy? Do you mind sharing your story???

I had my treatment plan yesterday for our fet in Jan. Wanted to do it this month but my af falls at a bad time as clinic will be closed for Christmas, which is when Id need transfer.. af due anyday so 1 cycle left to try do this naturally I guess.

This happened to me. We went fir our treatment planning appointment, I was on day 21. But egg collection would of fallen Christmas time, their shut. So I have to wait a whole month.
13 days to go!

On my third round of ivf I had two 3d embryos transferred and now I have a nearly 3 y/o.

I was on supercur (bucerelin). It was horrendous. I felt so drepressed and tired all the time. Acupuncture helped relieve (well I think it did) some of the symptoms.
It also caused my stomach to itch a lot and it was sore since you never get a chance to let your injection sites heal.

I had my transfer on December 1st and got a bfp at 8dp5dt. I’m 9dp5dt today. I’m feelings lots of period like symptoms so I’m praying my bean(s) stick around

Hi All, Update on myself after disappearing for a few days!!! Transferred two 3D embryo on 09Dec, nausea started from 10Dec till today.... Is it too fast?? Just went to my other gynae she says like "Oh Thats a good sign" but i didnt overwhelmed by her words i rather think that its the meds that made me felt this way.... I even had a vivid dream i was pregnant with twins and experience the whole giving birth procedure and 2 girls lol is that hilarious??? 2WW is killing me!!!! 18Dec is the blood test!!! Excited & Crazy now !!!
