Just been through a whole nother ivf cycle with donor swimmers. Today was test day. Negative
Had really bad results with the embryologist though - 8 collected, 4 immature, 3 fertilised abnormally leaving only one embryo which was graded at 2 (4 being great and 1 being rubbish) which they put back the very next day.
Feel like I'm never going to get pregnant now. I don't have a partner so it's as many chances as I can afford to pay for which is now very limitedand I'll be 40 next year.
Sorry to hear that hon. Hugs. Do you think youll try and freeze some eggs in prep for when you can afford a full cycle?
Unfortunately egg freezing is pretty much the same cost as doing a regular ivf cycle (but without the cost of the donor stuff) - I tried it age 38 but they only got three eggs suitable to freeze and asked me to consider doing fresh cycles after that as it has a better chance.
When I heard the embryo results this cycle I pretty much felt that was it for me but Im hoping I can have one or maybe two goes before I completely give up forever :-/
I was thinking about trying serum as I've heard do many good things about them but sounds like they're going through a difficult time right now.
