***June 2018 Mums***

That's a good idea. He has said that he gets it but we all know how the phrase 'a couple of beers' ends lol. I just need to take a chill so maybe some girl time will be the answer :)

Yup, my hubby went out at lunchtime yesterday and I knew he was going to get drunk but he came in at midnight absolutely plastered! He said he was getting it out of his system hahahahaha

Hope you’ve come to some sort of agreement HS, I’m the same in that I’d want to be prepared for all possible scenarios but sounds like your little one is doing well!

Felt pretty rubbish this weekend, sore throat, stuffy head kind of feeling, hope it’s just tiredness and nothing else. Quite hormonal too which wasn’t helped my the person doing a bra fitting telling me I looked like I was carrying a boy so she was surprised I said I was supposed to be having a girl...then I asked for the wrong salsa on my burrito and a bird did a poo on my jacket 😂

So ladies what are we all putting in our birth plans? I’ve never had 1 before as feel I will go with the flow but I’m considering delayed core clamping this time so that may be in there. Just picking your brains for ideas x

Ooh ouch to the ladies on steroids - as soon as I read 'needles in buttcheeks' I flinched. I'm not fantastic with needles!

Sorry about the rubbish weekend princess - they do say these things come in 3's! You should be due a break now if that's anything to go by?!

I had a lovely weekend - baby shower with afternoon tea and me and little Bean were spoilt rotten! I needed a nap afterwards mind haha. And I had the good news on Sunday that my husband will be home in 11 days (not that I'm counting!)

No idea on the birth plan Spriddy. Totally unhelpful, I know! Delayed cord clamping is a definite for me (if situation allows) and I am happy with Vitamin K injection... Aside from that, all I know is that in a perfect world I'd like a waterbirth, but I'm not expecting to get one haha so I'd quite like to go with the flow on the rest - I don't want to set myself up for what I might deem to be 'failure' afterwards! I don't even know what a birthing plan should cover really.

Got my 36 week appt tomorrow and wondering if they’ll ask about birth plans! Consultant made a few notes when I was in last week as ideally I’d like a natural birth with just gas and air and water for pain relief, however I think they once I start having contractions I’ll be begging for everything! Cons of pain relief just scared me at my NCT classes but when I have a serious think I’m not sure I can do it without! Definitely going for delayed cord clamping and probably vitamin k too although again I’ve read too many cons and it’s making me doubt everything!

Baby HS arrived safe yesterday weighing 2lb 10

Ahhhh congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Scan for me again today at 35+2 he’s growing nicely at 6lb 3 but waters dropped again so back Sunday to check again as only just above acceptable level now. Asked if still induction at 39weeks but doctor wasn’t convinced were getting that far! Hope everyone is doing well and hope babyhs is thriving xx

Spent last night on ward due to high blood pressure and also diagnosed gestational diabetes at 35+ 4! I’m feeling fed up now luckily allowed home this morning got go back in the morning but can cope with that had no sleep in there last night! Hope everyone’s well xx

Hope all is ok spriddy!

We’ve spent today building an IKEA kids wardrobe, hate building ikea!! Our travel system arrived at my mums this week so she brought it over and we put it together, was all fine until we realised we’ve bought the wrong iso fix base for our car seat ...GRR...so returning it tomorrow and hope they’ll accept it even though we tried it in the car! Have the correct one reserved at mamas and papas to pick up tomorrow!

So lots of jobs but all were quite stressful!

Got 2 more weeks of work and I really wish I could afford to finish earlier but I can’t do just trying to plod along and rest when I can.

Been to diabetic clinic and placed under new consultant for antenatal who I must say is lovely. He’s booked me in for 2 weeks today for sweep and if favourable will get cracked on with induction. Got all sorts going on in my water today so that’s sent off for analysis and also bloods to check for the itching thing as I’ve been shocking with itching last few days xx

Glad your consultant is lovely! Everyone I’ve seen bar one sonogrpaher has been lovely which really helps!

I’m 38+1 today according to docs dates and baby has gone from 1/5 to 3/5 engaged so it’s movin slowly down. Got my next appt in 2 weeks where they said they’ll offer me a sweep...

It’s all getting far too real now!

Lol it only feel 2 minutes since we were in first tri now!!! I feel like im marking the days off like a prisoner on countdown to release 😂 been bitbired today as no appts anywhere so I chucked in a bit of housework 😂 not much though! Scan and review again tomorrow xx

Eeek it's sounds like it's getting so real and close for you ladies. I am in complete denial about how close its getting. I feel like I'm so far behind you all that I have AGES (completely unrealistic...) I really need to think about a hospital bag!

Hey all, hope we're doing well!
Just checking in. 4 weeks today... would quite happily go anytime now though!

I’ve got 12 days left until EDD, would like to get to end of next week for Work financial reasons but I’m pretty fed up and sort of want it to happen now! But also don’t as I’m so terrified!

Don't be terrified.

The only bit I'm getting nervous with is the not knowing...

What will it feel like, when will it happen etc etc. I'm feeling less nervous about actual birthing, just the early labour is giving me the fear.

Got a scan on Tues and hopefully that will be the last one x

Best of luck for the scan!

I’ve got 5 days left in work, so ready to finish, obviously unless baby comes early!

Yeah I’m v nervous about the birth etc but also like you it’s the not mowing. I love planning and knowing what’s going to happen but it could literally happen at any minute or in 2/3 weeks!!!

Had an appointment with an anaesthetist on Friday who scanned my back incase I get an epidural, he also said he’d recommend one for me which was interesting because I’ve wanted someone to tell me what to do and then when he did I didn’t like it hahaha!!
