Eeep! Gorgeous baby picture!

I am definitely not in labour. Walking hurts and I get mad Braxton hicks at night but I definitely have another 2 weeks to go (ish) I just know my body and I wouldn't be this comfy half the time if I was going to explode with baby tomorrow.

It's for the best really, my sons 7th birthday on the 15th so I'd like to get that out the way really. Just the impending feeling of Yet Another 2 weeks of School Runs to have to deal with. Yay.

Omg pringle, she's beautiful and I love her name!

Definitely no impending signs of labour here either, I feel completely fine! I keep getting the odd 'fanny dagger' here and there but that's it.. I'm quite happy for him to stay put for a little longer though!

Well I don't think my sweep worked! Or at least not very quickly.

I've had a show, but no "plug" as such. But just spotting a fair bit which midwife assured me was normal. I've felt off all morning and also thrown up my breakfast (sorry for tmi!) and my tummy feels off as if I'm going to have an upset stomach. I'm not a sickly person at all really, and haven't had nausea/vomiting since I was about 16 weeks pregnant so really hope this isn't a badly timed bug!!

Great news Aurora!! Hope all goes well!

No signs over here, think the sweep has failed no regular pains, and other than losing my plug and spotting there seems to be no other change! Looks like I'll be having another sweep in a week's time!

Congratulations to the new mummies.

I've been getting a lot of pressure still. Has anyone ever lost their waters by them leaking slowly? I don't want to call triage and bother them if it's not necessary but I'm freaking out a bit.

Yay congrats Aurora!!

Shayton, I've not lost any waters myself but did have a scare a few weeks ago where I thought they were leaking and they told me to go in and be checked and to take any pads with me I'd been wearing. It turned out to just be increased discharge for me, but it's worth getting checked out for as your waters protect baby from infection x

Wow so what a night that was. Started with lots of pinky discharge so i went bed early but pains continued felt like strong period pains and lower back pains. Woke up at 12.55 and thought i would time the contractions i manange to time 2 when my waters broke.
Had to go straight to the hospital as i have group b strep so got up there and got checked to still only be 2cm. After lots of attempts to get a canula (this took over an hour) in to get the IV antibiotics i was checked again to still only be 2cm.

Dr came in to asses me and decided to put some syntocin in but after 6 mins on the drip babys heart rate dropped so it was taken off
Felt like crying at this point but i begged to be checked again 20 mins later and was 4cm so i could have gas and air.
And boy did i need it then it seemed to progress very quickly contactions started coming one on top of the other. Never seemed to get a break felt like i needed to push at around 7am but was told im only 6cm so not to 7.30 a new midwife came on duty and said i was 7cm so not to push but i just couldnt stop and baby was delivered at 7.37 am
