*July 2018 Mummies*

Ah Shan I remember now! Hopefully it's all fine for you :)

Yeah thank you, my only problem is the other midwife available (my usual midwife) is useless too and just shoves me out the door at the earliest opportunity. I'm just gonna try and get over it and let what happens happen! The consultants said his growth was perfect on the line on the growth chart and had no concerns about normal and natural delivery with no interventions needed, so I'll just try and focus on that. But it is difficult!
:)

Sorry she isn't much better ugh. But consultants are a pain in the ass for overanalysing things and always talking worst case scenario. So if they don't have an issue with you or baby's growth then I'd say that's a very positive thing! Stick with what they've said.

But I get it, my midwife with Ivy was awful. The consultant I saw put a complaint in about her once. I went to her worried about depression wth my history. And she actually said to me the words " See this is why kids shouldnt have kids, not all fun and games being pregnant is it?" I was 21 when Ivy was born. She was a dickhead. I know what they say can affect you, but yours was totally wrong and her comments can be completely written off. Honestly Jem I think you'll do fine xx

Thank you, just think I'm having a little blip in confidence lol!

Aw that will probably be your most amazing moment as a mum seeing your two babies meeting each other! X

Also wtf to that midwife when you had ivy!! Thats so awful.

I used to work in the obstetrics department of a hospital and midwifes were known for being dragons. So rude and they think they're better than everyone else. You really would think that they'd be the most caring people ever considering who their patients are. But some are just downright disgusting!

Shan good luck today, keep us posted x

Jem, you are a first time mum to be, of course everything worries you so honestly just let yourself think and worry if that is what you feel like, you can't block it out. Just know that whatever happens happens and there is little you can do. Also if they were worried about you baby weight and delivery you would already have been given section date. So buckle up and prepare for a bumpy hormonal ride for the next couple of weeks or so x

Shep haha no cleaning!!! Chill instead x

Well I had little sleep last night, DD is not well and had a 4.5 hr nap yesterday!!! She never went to bed until 11pm and woke up at 5.30 this morning. I am so tired. Waiting until 11 and we are both going for a nap!

Sweep is booked for the 28th (39 weeks) but I don't hold much hope.

Shepherdess you sound like such a Mother Earth type with your pregnancy I wish I could learn to be like you and take some of your positivity. That sounds a little like an insult but it's really not I just can't think of the right word lol. Hopefully that ball gets baby moving. Xx

Haha you've made me laugh, I'd never really considered myself that kind of person but I said to husband one day last week that I was turning into a massive hippy. I wasn't in the best head space for months after having dd so I'm doing my best to make everything positive this time
A
Is ivy super excited about baby? Or a little apprehensive? Shes going to be such a good age

Khtw I really hope your sweep works for you, maybe try a walk before hand to loosen things up a little, and sex after!

Thanks Shep. If OH is off that day I may take a walk to the practice and back instead of driving. Sex is off the table... I just couldn't! If it works it works it it doesn't then oh well x

Shep in that case absolutely nothing wrong with trying to stay in a positive place this time. I hope that continues. Ivy is so excited for the baby, she's just old enough to understand it all. I've tried explaining how she'll be sharing me etc but she's just more excited to help and to have a sister and a baby in the house. I'm hoping she stays that way lol . How is dd understanding everything? xx

Appointment went okay. No issues with cord, fluid or placenta. Baby's estimate is coming small in the end. Her estimated weight is about 6lb 7-11 ounces. She's measuring 36 weeks all over from the scan. Except her head which they couldn't do because it was completely down now.

They said they have no reasons they can see for her being small but no worries anything isn't working properly. Consultant wants me to be seen again on Friday. And they're gonna do a sweep then if I've not went before Friday so I'll be 39 weeks. So I guess I'm not worried?

That's good news Shan. And the fact that her head is all the way down also! Fx you don't need the sweep and we will have another baby born soon x

Hey ladies, sorry I haven't caught up yet. Just come in for a nap as the other foal arrived early yesterday evening and it took lots of sorting out, them mum got to the almost 6 hour mark without fully passing the after birth, just the amniotic sac hanging. Had to get Dan to give her oxytocin at midnight and so went in and gave it very gentle tension to help get it out quickly. Had to be on colic watch for mum then...colic can very easily be fatal for horses so I was checking every 90 minutes to monitor her.

All fine this morning, just mega busy as had a horse coming back from the vet and one leaving. I am soooo tired but so relieved the foal is here and safe before I go in next week. Oh...and a bump pic x

Good news shan!

Forgot to say OH failed his test yesterday. It's rebooked for 9th July, we're due 7th July so this could be a disaster haha x

Happy things worked out GG and just in time too. The little one is adorable. And nice bump BTW! X

Probably best to have a back up plan lol. My hubby doesn't drive so we have FIL, neighbour and BIL on standby haha and of course there is always taxis? We live 10min from the hospital tho x

Thanks ladies

GG pretty pics of you and bump you should print those xx

Jem no way, is he supposed to drive you to the hospital?! Xx

KHTW I'll be 39 + 2 on Friday. I've never had a sweep no idea what it feels like lol. Gonna take it though if I'm still waddling along xx

Shan mine wasn't very pleasant last time, may depend on cervix position. I am getting it anyways. I will still be pregnant week 39... Weirdly sure about that!, :D

He was supposed to drive me to the hospital haha. He's been driving me around anyway with the L plates on as with my SPD I can't drive anymore. I'm not sure but he's planning on taking me to the hospital anyway with the L plates haha, but I do have my stepdad on call for whenever x

Sorry your oh failed his test JemRose. Hopefully he'll crack it next time, and I guess he doesn't need to have passed to get you to hospital

Shanivy loads of people have 6lb odd babies, doesn't seem really small to me. I'm glad everything is working well and I hope your sweep works. Mine last pregnancy did hurt, for all they say it's just "uncomfortable" I found it painful but my cervix was posterior so took a bit of tugging forward.

Nice pics GG

Lovely day here, house is spotless so I'd like baby to come now before it gets dirty again lol

Shan, I had exactly the same with my first and she was born full term normal birth af 6lb 9.5! Just because your not having an 8lb baby doesn’t mean it’s small it’s probably just normal for you! I am now having the same with this one had to go for a Growth scan this week at 34 weeks and I am just above normal baby is currently estimated at 4lb 12 ounces so will probably be the same 6lb to 7lb!! Don’t let it worry you!! Xx

Does anyone else feel like every day actually feels further and further away from giving birth rather than closer?
A couple weeks ago I thought it was all going on with regular BH, baby was low and period pains all the time. Now I feel hardly anything in the way of BH and baby has started climbing and I swear he'll end up coming out my throat!!!!

I just feel less likely to give birth every second that goes by!

Shep true, Ivy was one. I think just being brought in made me anxious that there was a reason for it. But I've seen and been told placenta is fine etc. Which was in the back of my head. So I'm going to just have to forget about it. Lol every time I have all the washing done and the house clean I think the same haha. Xx

Thanks Mexico I'm going to try lol. I can't wait to have her out though. How has your pregnancy been? Xx

Jem at least you have some others on standby. Might be a little stressful for him on L plates with you in labour haha. Though sounds like he can drive fine I'm sure. Does he know why he failed? Xx

I'm a little lost tonight. Ivy is trying another night at her granny's house. I'm not sure if anyone remembers last time OH had to go around the corner and carry her home at like 4am lol. But she'll be staying there when I go in labour if it's nighttime so I'd like to make sure she'll be okay. We'll see lol

Always the way Jem lol. This week has dragged in waiting on my scan to be honest. Then the baby comes and it just completely flies by. Xx
