*July 2018 Mummies*

Christ GG you just reminded me I ordered a few things in store to mothercare and forgot all about them! I'll have to phone and see if there gone now ugh. Glad foal is doing well. Sounds like a lot of work though make sure you take care hun xx

Mala thanks! OH was the most pleased, he wants to start going running with her. I was like wise up it's a sports day race haha. I'm the same with the rib kicks too, since she's moved from sideways to head down, it's sooo much more uncomfortable. I actually forgot this part. Xx

JaneyJan my midwife is really only involved when I'm ill or there's an issue to be honest. Other than that when my appointment is fine I'm in, measured, HB, then out really. If you're unhappy or uncomfortable with any of the care, or lack of it, definitely speak up on it. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable with your midwife. Hope your work is going okay, I know it was a bit much a while ago xx

KHTW I.e wrong gender, I don't know how the heck it happened twice, but I'm too far on really for the 3D and I'm gonna keep my fx she's definitely a girl lol. But she went to the same hospital as me and same private scan place too! Doesn't instill much confidence haha.

Omg JaneyJan imagine, especially with them not being 100%... definitely try getting a clearer answer !! Xx

Argh Shan just wrote a whole long reply and then pressed previous thread by mistake instead of post reply...:#+_(_)0#(#+£)!!!!!?

Shan how bloody cute does ivy look!!! Glad you didn't miss her sports day!
GG stay clear of that oxytocin haha!

So woke up this morning and could hardly walk, attempted to drive to work and got 2 mins down the road and burst into tears I was in so much pain. Rang physio and begged for an appointment today. Turns out that as well as spd, I've got super tight ligaments in my SI joint. She did some massaging and manipulation to try and get the ligament to stretch and give way but it was having none of it. She said the type of ligament pain I have is 3x worse than breaking a bone (yay). She taped the ligament, basically some tape on my back not sure how that works haha. And I also have crutches to use at all times. Been advised not to walk much and to rest as much as possible. Been given a guide for OH so he can massage the ligament to try and stretch it. She's not sure I'll be driving for much longer either, so looks like I may be getting signed off until my mat leave.. Great! X

Basically, hope you're feeling better now!
And I'm off work sick today, was up till 3am last night with terrible backache... Work has been much more challenging. In the last week I've been starting to get quite bad back, especially towards the afternoon/evening and night when the whole thing is so stiff and sore and think I pulled something, tried to get OH to massage it and was literally sobbing with the pain. Rang in to work at 1am last night when it was just getting worse and I couldn't sleep.

I'm so not able to just pull a 12.5 hour shift out the bag with no sleep and all these aches and pains. I feel so guilty and like I always need to justify myself and my reasons aren't good enough but I think now, being almost 8 months pregnant, we probably need to be more kind to ourselves. But I just feel horrible not going into work but I don't think I would have managed all the moving and handling today. My back just gets so sore and then I'm in so much discomfit whether I'm stood, sitting or lying down.

Hey Jem, how did you get a physio appointment? I really want to see one, not sure how to. That sounds awful by the way but thank God for physios.

JaneyJan haha I do that all the time drives me nuts ! Xx

Jem gosh that's shit hun, im glad you got an appointment! You've had awful problems with your hips etc from 2nd tri so I hope whatever she does actually makes a difference. I can totally believe it's worse than breaking a bone, my disk pain is worse than labour when it starts. OH may start doing those massages for you asap. Getting signed off might actually help you though, at least then you won't have to drag yourself out in pain and can just chill a bit if you're having a bad day with it. Ugh so rubbish, roll on July! Xx

JaneyJan I got mine through a Midwife's referral, think it depends on the area hun if you can self refer or it has to be done for you.

I've just seen your other reply to me now so gonna reply here. Fking forum. Feeling better thank you hun.

I can so sympathise with back pain! The pain from my disk when it flares up is 10x worse than any pain I had giving birth. I'd give birth 10x than experience disk pain again.

If you're having issues I'd say get them seen asap. My worry is always if it went again near or during labour. You're absolutely justified in not being able to do those shifts, the moving and handling could make it way worse and then where would you be. Don't feel guilty at all. Late pregnancy is enough of an excuse never mind any other health problems added in! If you have a community midwife number in your notes Id give them a ring about it to get an asap physio appointment. Also just to check exactly what's causing it. But I hope it eases off for you soon and doesn't become an issue Xx

Thanks shan I'm gonna try and see what I'm like tomorrow. Feel like I'm just leaving work in the lurch. My manager is on holiday this week too! Feel like I need a chat with her to ease my mind.

JaneyJan I got referred through my midwife also. Just give your midwife a call if you're not due an appointment and tell her you'd like to see a maternity physio. Definitely get checked out it's so worth it x

OH and I have decided its best for me to be signed off until my mat leave in 3 weeks x

Yeah guess it's time to listen to professionals and my body. OH is completely on board which I was a bit worried about his opinion, but he's the one telling me to be off work and listen to what I'm being told haha x

Good. It's amazing what the right support can do. I've not had my baby yet, but I've got sloppy milky stains all over me from the foal. Honestly she's the most perfect little thing xx

Glad you decided to stay at home until baby is born, no point pushing yourself when your body tells you to rest x

Well my boobs are now leaking. Fun. Never had this with DD.

Bump feels very heavy near the bottom. Sitting at work today was quite uncomfortable and I had to get up and move frequantly... only just over 2 weeks to go... hurry up mat leave! x

I felt heavy down below since mid March as baby had been head down so always felt "full" down there and bladder always at bursting point. Now baby has flipped, I feel empty down there aside from occasional pains like a pulling sensation...now baby is so far up under my ribs it's discomfort 24/7. It moved earlier and I could actually feel the sick making it's way up and into my throat. God knows what it must be like to be feeling engaged as some of you are. I'm really struggling to get a breath if I so much as lean forward now.

The foals mum needs medication in her feed but the foal of course wants to copy everything mum does. So, being that the foal doesn't even reach the height of my knee, I have to kneel down to stop her and distract her. Fuck me it's hard work, lol.

I'm ready now...want my body back.

The foal does sound cute even if it gives you a bit of work lol.

Bump seem to be OK today, discomfort gone. Baby must've gotten into a better position I guess.

Really nice weather here this week so we thought we would put DD in big girl pants and start potty training (she is already familiar with the potty) while she is playing outside but the poor thing did no.2 in her pants at 10 am and got so distressed that she would't wee in her pants or on the potty at all! I put her back in her nappy pants at 4pm and only around 6pm she weed and asked for a cuddle as she did which is always a sign of stress for her. We are leaving it again for a couple of weeks. Toddlers are hard work! x

I think it is fair to say that your life is evolving around this pregnancy/baby, be prepared to dream about it until he is here and you will probably still dream about him them :D

Gosh ladies what a morning.

. OH took Ivy to nursery this morning since he's on late shift then called into his mums on the way back. So got a call from him saying that my father in law was maybe having a heart attack and was asking for me, OH had called an ambulance and to come round. Who knew 32 week pregnant women could run? Pretty much run around the corner and the ambulance was already there when I got there thank god. They think it is his angina becoming unstable and maybe not an actual heart attack but they took him to hospital in the end. First time I've ever seen him cry and it made me cry too honestly what a morning.

Jem I read that as "we've decided not to get signed off until maternity leave" at first I was like what?! But so glad you are! You deserve a break, and a rest, and a few weeks of hopefully taking it easier xx
