July 2017 mummies to be.

I've had my next2me crib for ages, I bought it very early! But like you I want to be prepared lol.. I'm glad I have all my bigger items sorted, I dont feel so panicked about everything I've got to buy now as most of it's done. Pram arrived at my MILs today so going there tonight to have a look and make sure its ok!

The next 2 me is fab! I loved ours still got it it's getting set up Wednesday night for my friend she's bringing her baby for a visit too so I'm excited to see her and her baby. We had a cot but it had a screw missing it was given to us and my son climbed in and it literally snapped and fell apart I'm glad I grabbed him quick enough as it really could of been dangerous and the girl who has been "stalking" us was the one who gave it to us so if she asks for it back it's too late it's been binned. Can't wait to get everything set up for wee man now just needing newborn baby grows and we are sorted xxx

Oh no, I'm glad LO avoided getting injured! That's the risk with second-hand sometimes, i've bought this next2me second-hand but it's like brand new and I've put it up and all seems fine. I've bought a mattress protector and new sheets etc so ready to go with that.

I bought some newborn baby grows and sleep suits but they seem very very small and on the back say upto 7lbs so I'm hoping his not a big boy otherwise these won't get used at all!

xx

Oooh, the next 2 me crib looks amazing! I definitely want that. You guys are all so organised, I'm impressed. I can't make any decisions - I want it all!

Husband is definitely excited about the baby btw, but he also thinks that this is a good time to get a dog. FFS. Sometimes I think that I'm representing him in a really bad way on here, and then I remember that he is, in fact, a moron.

I do love him though, honest!

Next 2 mes last ages as well and second hand ones will always be sturdy they've been built to last! The baby grows hopefull will fit Hun Harrison went into 7lb ones but he was short and fat 8lb 7oz he was big bum. I've ordered the cot and a changing unit/chest of drawers I sealed ours shut by upcycling it!! I'm a bloody idiot so hubby agrees a new one was best as he forced it open and ripped half the wood off haha oops I don't feel organised this time round I've left everything so late! Harrison had all his stuff by this time but then again I'm taking my time a bit more cause I've got a while :) ordered new cotbed sheets too for both boys and a Star Wars theme sticker set for Harrison he has been a champ all day helped me tidy and put washing in the machine so proud of him. It'll all get sorted though no rush really xxx

Erm....no haha I have 3 dogs already before my first was born and they are fab but certain places won't allow adoption unless the kids or baby is over 2 now for safety reasons and buying a puppy well pups are hard work! Toilet training injections accidents etc chewing ooh god no I genuinely couldn't go through puppy hood again haha xxx

Hello so back from my holiday and have spent alot of time sleeping. Have now discovered that baby does not like pork at all was sick 3 times whilst away, once brushing my teeth, once in a resturant whilst eating some pork (was not very nice as i didnt even have time to move)
Then finally after eating bacon for breakfast went straight to the park and just made it to the toilet. Really hope tgis sickness goes away at some point but im now 24 weeks so im starting to doubt it will.

Oh Hun! That sounds horrible :( hugs. I've gone off bacon and we don't eat much pork wise, biggest one is chicken steaks if it's breast meat I'm fine but anything else chicken wise nope xxx

Oh yeah, there's no way we're getting a dog.

DH: Kids NEED dogs to grow up with. They need to have a buddy.

ME: We have two cats.

DH: The cats are going to hate the baby. They already hate us.

ME: What age were you when you got your dog?

DH: About ten...

ME: Mmmhmm.

DH: ...which was far too late.

I was raised with dogs I do understand what he means but I'd wait until little one was 2-3 at least before adopting and the centres perfectly at h a dog to family's now we had tikka when I was 2 but she was already on a home with kids when we got her and my sons got our 3 but cats don't hate babies! Not always they can be very close to a baby you just never know Hun. Something to do is bring babies towels home that they've cleaned baby up in and let them smell it xxx

We already have two dogs, one is 3 in April, the other is 1 & half, we've had them both from pups and honestly it's a nightmare!.. There is no way in hell I'd want to go through that whilst pregnant or with a newborn - no chance! They are like little babies except they're charging around peeing everywhere from day one!!

I'm just getting to a stage now where I'm struggling to walk them as they are so strong (both English Bull Terriers) so my poor OH will be on dog duty whilst I'm on baby duty!

On a positive note, I am really looking forward to seeing our little guy grow up with them both, they are both so loving and playful, I know LO will love them.

xx

Oo and good advice re the baby towel violet, I read that somewhere too and was planning on doing that!

Awww July bull terriers are lovely dogs! My godmother has had 3 so far and never had a problem they are bouncy dogs but such loving ones too. My woven wrap arrived today so it's been washed and once it's dried enough I'll iron it and begin breaking it in xxx

We have 2 dogs already but if we didn't have any id not choose now to get one, it'll be a huge change for you and your lifestyle, they're like having kids alone. Would never be without them though. It'll also be a big change introducing a dog then dealing with the introduction to baby. I'd say it's better when baby is already there so there's no jealousy/uncertainty from the dog. :)

Re next to me cribs we bought one but not the Chicco one. I was going to get that but then saw one at the baby show that has the drop side and adjustable heights for different beds etc but when you're done with it as a crib it turns into a little bench and desk! So we've gone for that instead as it will be useful for ages!

What wrap did you get? I've been looking about ☺️

I bought a baby bjorn carrier second-hand, I can't believe how expensive some of these things are new!

Our Silver Cross Pioneer arrived on Monday, it's sooo nice, very very happy with it, it's feels sturdy, really nice to manoeuvre and it's so easy to fold/unfold and take all the bits on and off. I was however surprised at how heavy the car seat was! Even without a LO in it! I've never really lifted any car seats so maybe I was just naive and thought it would be lighter or I'm just really weak! lol

It's exciting though, I can't wait to get out and about with him in it :)

It's a little frog woven it's called chariot so blue and pinky red in colour and a size 6 cause I'm curvy haha but I successfully did a back carry with Harrison today!! I ordered from love to be natural it's a good site and dispatched and arrived a day later! I found stretchy wraps don't last long enough for us definitely have a look Hun easy instructions too xxx

Oooh shiny shiny haha i found car seats weigh a ton with or without baby in it! You aren't alone. We've not really got long left now ladies it's going so fast!! Xxx

Finally got our pushchair and car seat sorted. Have been really disorganised so far. Cant wait for it them to arrive.
Almost ordered the perfect prep then saw all the facebook post about it growing mould in the pipes so i will be sticking with the old fashioned way with a kettle.

We have a 4d scan tomorrow which is a gift from my mum.

Good idea Hun on the prep machine it's also not boiling hot water it's just warm water it shoots out so it's not even enough to kill bacteria xxx
