July 2017 mummies to be.

That is one of ones I was looking at, they all have good and bad reviews so will just have to take a gamble!

Feeling a bit crampy and headachy today, glad it's Friday!

My bump seems to have grown and appeared over night, it's been getting increasingly itching so a lot of stretching must be happening!

xx

Woohoo for Friday, JulyBug! Boohoo for cramps and headaches. Woohoo again for a bump!

I told my MIL that my skin was itchy and that stretching must be happening and she laughed at me and said 'not this early it's not!'. I will never understand why she is convinced she knows more about me than I do.

Aurora, that all sounds horrific. I hope things improve soon.

Oh you've got to love MIL's eh?... not - I love the film monster in-law with jennifer lopez, if you haven't seen it you should, it's really funny!

I am forever getting unwanted 'advice' or 'suggestions' as my mum always says..

I sat through a whole one way conversation with one of my friends the other night telling me everything about being in labour etc.. and what to expect from my second 'semester'.. yep, she really did called it a semester! and no she has no children or has ever been pregnant.. so it's safe to say some peoples 'advice' is very easily ignored!

CNM, how many weeks are you now?

xx

I'm only 14+2! I'll definitely look up Monster in Law, I need some perspective!

That's hilarious about your friend. What goes through people's heads?! I'm pretty impressed that she has such confidence in her own knowledge though! Not a fan of 'semester' though...reminds me of school...

While I'm having a moan...my MiL cooked us a very thoughtful Christmas meal. Smoked (uncooked) salmon to start, smoked (uncooked) mutton with red wine cabbage for the main (sure, cooking boils off most of the alocohol, but not all), and brie for dessert. Just brie. A wheel of brie. When I gently explained why I was eating nothing but mashed potato and bread, she exclaimed 'oh for goodness' sake! You'd think nobody had ever been pregnant before!'

LOOOOOOL.

Hope everyone is well I have my gender scan tomorrow! I'm so excited il be 16+1 tomorrow really hoping for a girl xx

lol CNM, that's hilarious! She doesn't sound like a mash potato kinda lady? Lol!

I'm managing to eat a lot more around dinner time then I was... I wasn't eating past 3 o'clock a few weeks ago!

Meggi, how exciting!! Good luck. Sending positive girly vibes your way! :) xx

Hope the scan goes well meggii.

Everythings hitting me all at once. My flu also came with a chest infection so feeling really rotten this week.
Was relaxing in the bath last night when i was sick over myself. Nice low point there.

Hope everyones well x

Oh Aurora, poor you, sounds awful.

My low point so far was definitely being sick right outside the cafe last Sunday! So embarrassing.

My cold is finally shifting, still abit bunged up and sniffly but much better.

This pregnancy lark isn't much fun is it?

xx

No it's not! It's been positively rubbish so far! I can't wait to feel the little monster so at least I can be regularly reminded why I feel so crappy ha ha. I've been sent this deal by bounty, £124 for a Next to Me crib here which I might take up if the second hand one I'm watching tonight goes too high. I may as well have a new one if it does.

Midwife appointment on Tuesday, can't wait for another little milestone!

That is a good price for a new one - is it just the pink one? Argos had just the pink one for the same price not long ago.
I got mine second hand for £80 and its immaculate, I weren't prepared to pay over £100 for a second hand one.

Can't wait to start feeling something either!! I was sure I had a couple of flutters the other day but haven't noticed anything since!

x

Yeah I think it's only the pink one but I don't think that really matters as I like it ha ha. Hopefully this second hand one will go for a decent price. It's already at £63 so will see. I won't offer more than 90 I don't think.

I'm so tempted to buy a doppler. I've always said i never bother with one but im so paranoid that i think it would help me to have one.

Whats everyones thoughts on home dopplers and is there one you would recommend?

Had my scan everything is going well apart from baby is breach and they nearly sent me home as they couldn't see between her legs but she moved in the end! Those girly vibes must of worked! Xxx

Yay congratulations Meggi! So happy for you. xxx

Aurora, I've always said I'd never get one too. I think I'd become obsessed with it and then would be worried if I couldn't hear it or it didn't sound right. I just have to tell myself that everything is ok and if it's not then there's nothing I can do about it. I understand the paranoia though, I'm currently feeling completely normal again and find it hard to believe there's a baby in there!! xx

Congratulations Meggiiii :pink:

Its so tempting to buy one but i'm gonna try to resist as i know even if i did hear a heartbeat it doesn't mean everythings ok. Must stay strong and resist.

Kizzy we havn't decided if we are finding out the sex yet. We keep changing our mind.

Congrats Meggiii. And Kizzy we're not planning on finding out.

I thought about getting a Doppler but again I think it would be too easy to work yourself up in if it wasn't working properly.

Mine said boy! We are hoping for a boy :) everyone has said boy based on scans so we'll see! Feels like forever until 24th Feb!

How is everyone?

I am feeling completely 'normal' again.. it's hard to believe I'm even pregnant! Been having a few little cramps here and there but that's it!

xxx

Mine said boy too.

I really hope I'm not far behind you July Bug, yesterday was awful: headaches, nausea and vomiting and then an awful night's sleep. At least because I was still awake til the early hours I was able to go for one last toilet trip app I didn't have to get up in the night. Didn't stop me waking up though! Currently laid in bed eating a Special K bar to try and settle my stomach down for the day.. I knew I'd never be one of the lucky ones to sail through pregnancy!
