**January 2018 Mummies, New year Babies**

Fela I'm so so sorry. I went through this last Summer and I had medication as well. If you ever want to chat then please know you can talk to me xxxx

Also got my hcg results back 115000 doc says thats awsome for 7+5 its more like 10 week levels so thats good, the baby i lost never got over 45 anyone else got hcg levels back?

We don't get this and i don't understand why not

You can ask its just a blood test i had mine tested due to the previous miscarriage she wanted a baseline of my levels in case i start bleeding or have another mc

I mentioned i was on a forum and you ladies had mentioned this test. She just said we wont be testing that. Quite matter of fact, didn't question as i felt a bit silly x

They don't routinely test your hcg levels, it not part of the normal booking in process. I had mine done last time by the GP but only cause I was so ill so they tested initially to see if very high (as can suggest a multiple pregnancy). X

Bad new ladies.

My early scan did not go well, the baby hadn't developed passed 2 mm in size, there's no heartbeat. Apparently it's a missed miscarriage, i'll have to go to the doctor for medication now to encourage the tissue to go. I'll be having another scan, but the doctor was very clear that this would not show anything different.

I'm very sad...obviously... but I suppose at the very least, as this is our first try, I know that we are fertile and we can do this again :)

Oh gosh fela I am so sorry to hear that :(

I see, thanks for the heads up xx

OH and I wanted another reassurance scan, so we've booked one for Sunday at 3:20pm! Hoping to see a little bit of movement and a proper heartbeat this time. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat at my first scan at 6 weeks so definitely going to ask to hear it this time xx

So so sorry Fela, awful news. Try and stay positive , these things rarely have a reason for happening, other than it just wasn't meant to be this time. You will get there. Xx

We don't have blood hcg levels tested either. It's not procedure and the range is so wide anyway. They mainly look for doubling figures in early pregnancy if there is a concern.

Oh great news about the scan Marie we have one in a week, and I'll be 9 weeks so I'll be interested to hear about how it was for you! Heartbeat will be very visible and hopefully movement too xx

Oh fela im so sorry. Thats not the news you ever want to receive. Hope everything heals well and you get your miracle baby in no time :(

Fela, very sad news, I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Take the best of care and be kind to yourself. X

Actually very impressed with how the medical professionals are dealing with it. I had my scan privately at the Nuffield Hospital on Friday evening, the consultant left a message that evening with my community midwife centre.

The duty midwife phoned me this morning as a result and booked me in for a scan on Friday at 0830. I may be able to have treatment on the same day or over the weekend. I think I'll let you all know how it goes because I think it's important for all of us to understand these things and I know it helps me when I can get information from others.

As for me, I just want to get back to normal so I can take a deep breath and carry on. We got pregnant really quickly, it confirmed that we are fertile, there's no reason we can't do it again :) If I get a BFP again whilst you ladies are still hanging out on this thread, I'll let you all know xx

Hi Fela, you are being so incredibly brave. You are absolutely right that this has confirmed you can do it again.

When I went into hospital I was so well looked after and all the staff were kind and sympathetic. I recovered really quickly in physical terms and I found that lots of people had had similar experiences or losses so I didn't feel so alone.

I've no doubt you'll be back with a BFP in no time. As soon as the bleeding stops you can get right back at it.

Xxxx

Nothing but admiration for you fela. It must be very difficult for you right, now but to remain so positive. Like you say you know it's possible for you guys to get pregnant, it will happen again for you soon, and hopefully a strong sticky bean next time. Sending you lots of hugs at this time

Fela I am so sorry! I really admire how you are handing this, you're a stronger woman then me!
Goodluck for the future! Please let us know when you get your next BFP xxx

Evening All,

Fela - sorry to hear your news, I think your mindset is fantastic and I wish you well.

Apologies i've not been around much this week, OH has been away so me and Zac moved in with my parents for the working week. It was fab - I got cooked proper meals and got help with Zac when I was feeling nauseous so overall, well worth it. OH was back last night, so we're all home now.

I hadn't been sick for nearly 3 weeks, until this morning. I'm blaming brushing my teeth, think that triggered it. I've felt rubbish and sick on and off since today. Also, i'm wondering if it has to do with getting overtired from work during the week and moving into another week of pregnancy. I always seem to feel terrible at the weekend and on a Monday.

Been feeling quite emotional the last few days as well, like I could just spontaneously cry over nothing really. Managed to hold it together so far!

18 days until my 12 weeks scan - really can't wait to know that all is ok in there.

Alipops x

So sorry Fela and you are so right; your time will come. Really pleased you have good support around you xx

Ali, my symptoms have eased off this week. Makes you worry a bit, never thought I'd be happy to feel sick! I've caved and booked an early scan for next Monday. Not told the OH yet, he'll be over the moon. Just praying everything is OK x
