Hi ladies hope you dont mind me joining in again! Due date is 15th january & im 9 weeks tomorrow! I have my booking in appointment next monday! I had an early scan last week and we saw the babys heartbeat fluttering away! Hoping and praying everything goes well for myself and all you ladies xx

From my dates i got the 16th January, and the calculators suggest i am 8 weeks today. But the midwife added a week when i saw her on Monday, which would put me the same as you! When was your first day of your last AF?

They have many different clincs across many different regions in the UK. They are so lovely there too!! Receptionists and sonographers.

So... She took a while to find baby abdominally as she said he/she was hiding!!! I have a tilted uterus as well so that may have been why it was a little difficult at first. Then all of a sudden abdominally baby went peekaboo and we found them!

I asked her if we would see a clearer image if I had an internal so she took up my offer and we did an internal as well. The image was so much clearer! We saw baby moving around lots too which was magical to see. Little legs stretching out and baby bouncing up and down. Was adorable. The sonographer said baby reminded her of a jelly baby! Haha.

Heart beat measured as 156bpm which was perfect. She said baby was nice and high up in my uterus but she measured me as one day less than what I am. She measured me at 9w1d instead of 9w2d! But she said 12 week scan will be easier to date correctly.

It was just magical seeing how much baby has grown since my 6w scan. At my 6w scan baby just looked like a shadow. Now they look like a baby! Little arms and legs and a heart beat. In our scan photo you can also see the eyes, nose and mouth!

I've attached the photos for anyone interested. The 1st one is a front view where you can see facial features and the 2nd is a side view where you can see baby's leg sticking out.

It was just magical. OH had some tears. The reassurance is so nice xx

Yeah internal/transvaginal. They may suggest doing that for you anyway but if they don't then no harm in asking. It is just a probe with a lubricated condom on the end and they insert it about 5cm inside your vagina - not any further than that. So it isn't really uncomfortable or anything xx

Congratulations yayitsronnie! My ds was due 24/1/15 but arrived on the 28th. This one is due the 20th! I'm glad my eldest has his birthday in July!!!

Mariexo - this is interesting as I have a 7 week scan tomorrow and realised I'd not been told if it was an internal or an external scan so didn't know if I needed to drink 2 pints of water! I just called the clinic and they said internal so glad I know and also pleased as it sounds like I will get a clearer picture like you did (even though I am a couple of weeks behind you!).
