***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Off to hospital - midwives think I may be in premature labour so want to check that everything is ok :( having to wait for OH to get home from work though as they wont let me drive myself!

Ahh Laura haha. I tried this yesterday and got a nasty cut so will not be attempting it again. I can't even try to move bump to see :(

Ooh no! No, bump definitely unmovable but a good Venus razor with a brand new head worked for me. xx

I've got one of those Wilkinson razors with trimmer, the one with the advert of the unruly bushes by a swimming pool and then it pans away and they are all trim!

So basically, we've all turned into massive babies that dribble food, wet undies, throw up and/or get reflux, get very sudden urges to pee and can barely contain them, cry at random things.. pregnancy is so magical!

Brilliant!

Kept our baby bouncer in our room for 3 days and niether of the cats have even touched it so thought we were safe. Woke up this morning to one of them curled up asleep in it! Took her out, put her on the bed and she jumped off and curled back up in bouncer again! Monkey!

I'm 30 weeks today. Tried on my baby shower/christmas dress last night and makes me look huge lol still a while to go.

Lovely dress! I will probably be wearing pyjamas at Christmas if the babies have just arrived, haha!
If they don't come before my baby shower and works Christmas do I'll wear black maternity jeans and a nice long top.

Tmi question but has anyone else had any jelly like cm? I had 2 globs last night that were clear like ewcm but much thicker like lumpy jelly! I googled it and it scared me a little as people had said mucus plug can be clear but it also said it can regrow again. Hoping it was just odd cm or if it was something it means nothing lol xx

I had that earlier in the week, it wasn’t much. Does anyone know how big the mucus plug is?

Happy to report that baby is absolutely fine! They're lying in a strange twisty breech/transverse position which skewed the fundal measurements, but are on the 50th percentile and an estimated 2lb14 at the moment. Placenta, cord flow, fluid, heartbeat and movements all absolutely normal. Relief is an understatement - DH and I haven't slept all week.

That's a huge relief!

Oh wow hope you are ok?

Robbda, I had a 4d scan, we only saw one baby but he looked so cute and it was amazing to see him moving around!

Woah BlondeP, are you alright? You did say that you thought labour was imminent but blooming heck. Hope it's a false alarm like Robbda's the other week.

Robbda, that must've been alarming! I don't think you did mention it before. I have had a 4D scan at 16 weeks and didn't see much at all, then NHS scan took a 4D photo for me the other week and it was amazing, I saw one of my twin's faces really clearly! I think it's luck though really as to what position they are in. The other twin was hiding so we couldn't see a thing.

Forgot to update on my scan :) The girls are looking pretty good, although one has grown a lot more than the other in the last two weeks, they're still good weights and following the line on the graph. Massive tummies still - one is measuring 3 weeks ahead on tummy! They are now 3.7 pounds and 4.3 pounds.

They asked about csection or induction at the consultant appointment. I opted for induction.. so I'll be induced between 23-29 December! Sadly I couldn't get a fixed date out of her, she said they can do it with 2 day's notice so no need to book, but I want a birth date/vague idea!! xx

Good weights Laura! Are they both head down?

They were both head up two weeks ago, twin 1 has shifted head down though :D twin 2 still head up, but I think they often turn around after the first one "exits"!

Mine are the other way round! Twin 1 has to flip otherwise I will need a C Section! Good thing yours are that way round!

Still plenty of time though! The midwife last time said that they could shift positions right up to the last minute, so both of ours may well move around a few times between now and delivery. They always seem to be on the move. xx

Ahh BlondeP, I hope you and baby are alright?

It's so exciting to hear about all the twins' dates for arrival, even if vague! December feels so much closer than January.

I genuinely thought I was going to be stuck in my little girls' bed all evening earlier, she wanted me to lay down with her to fall asleep, which took a little while, and then when I went to leave my pelvis made this horrendous crack which was agony! Was too scared to move for a bit and then when I did, it bloody hurt. She has a bed guard so I have to shift right to the end to escape once she's asleep, finally managed to with a lot of effort.

Glad this is set to be my last pregnancy, I think any more might actually break me.

Thank you all! :-)

Excellent news, Laura. They're such brilliant weights, too! And blimey, hope you're OK, Blonde. Keep us updated.

Ouch!! Sounds so painful :(

I'm finding it hard now. The pain when I walk has eased off a little and managed to walk into town this eve but she has bum and head in my ribs now and keeps putting pressure on and I've been starting to feel sick and a bit dizzy again. Tried so hard to enjoy it since I didn't think I would get my rainbow baby but definitely getting a bit fed up now. Mainly with the sleeping thing atm. I'm up all night every night then just nap on/off most of the day lol. Also starting to really worry myself about something happening to her in the next 10 weeks. I'm so scared somethings going to go wrong. Just want her here obviously not now not this early but I want time to speed up lol! Xx

False alarm thankfully! Monitor didn't really work properly & we we're hooked up to it for over an hour. Very patronising consultant told me no labour, most likely just braxton Hicks. Makes me wonder why I bloody go for help as they are all such gits at my local hospitals lol!

Baby boy is ok though and that's the main thing ❤️

Sorry I haven't read to catch up with everyone. Hope all is ok? Scans etc went well? No news on Lisa though? Bed time for us xxxxxxxx

Glad you are both ok. That's bad that they treat you like that, it makes people afraid to get checked out.

Glad everything is good with you and your babies Holdingthumbs! :)

Oh wow Robbda you had strong Braxton Hicks!? 4 minutes apart? Wew! That did sound like labor! I had 1 strong one but so far that was the only one. Glad everything is okay with your baby.

Oh wow Wew! That's a relief Abi! Glad the little boy is okay and can stay in longer. :) Wow lots happening with us all now that we're down to the wire and almost at the finish line!

Think Imogen has moved her legs/feet as getting the bladder and cervix kicks again. Don't mind though just glad she is kicking there rather than to the back again where I can't feel! Xx
