**********january 2016 mummies**********

I was like that with the other two, couldn't wait to get to the finish line. I think it's because I know I'm never going to go through this again, I want to treasure every uncomfortable moment haha....crazy lady here
I feel the same last pregnancy want to enjoy and remember it all. Get some retail therapy done whilst u have your feet up x
That's not good, try and take it easy. 5 weeks will be here before you know it!

I'm pretty knackered today too but had my whooping cough jag yesterday so putting it down to that. Just back from antenatal class, last one so that's it! Now waiting for Monday to see the consultant and hopefully get him to agree to a section.

I got both my jags today, how do you feel? I was already choked with a cold so not noticing any difference at all.

To be honest I'm feeling a bit crap today - tired and got a bit of a dodgy tummy but don't know if it's from the jag as I know there's a bug going about too. Got a sore arm too. I had no side effects at all from the flu jag which I had a fortnight ago, no inkling of a cold or anything so think I was pretty lucky there. I didn't think they gave you the flu jag if you have the cold? Sure someone on here said they went to get theirs and they wouldn't give them it because they had the cold.

They just said as long as I didn't have a temperature or on an antibiotic I could have it.

Had a bad night last night, I have been having pains all night and my back is really aching.
Heartburn was so bad, iv gotten up this morning and took some painkillers.
Hubby also dropped it on me last night that he has to do another 2 weeks working away in Cambridge in the 4 weeks ... Great ! I have little support as it is and I'm not looking forward to being on my own with a 2 year old all week at 35/36 weeks pregnant

Xx

Snap hun, I had an awful night last night. Couldn't get to sleep, finally dropped off about 12 but woke up for the loo at 1 then had tummy pains that wouldn't shift. Finally dropped off again about 3 then was up for the loo again, twice! I think it was just trapped wind but I was getting kicked like nothing on earth too, half expected to find a foot hanging out this morning  I've just woke up which I know isn't going to go down well tonight because I'll not be able to get to sleep again!

Not good about hubs, is it something he has to do?

Same here heartburn was horrendous need to get some gaviscon as ive run out now. Hope u can get a catch up on some sleep. Can hubby get out of working away?

Well his job is working here, he has never been contracted to work away but they are short on supervisors and need somebody there for the job to be finished before Xmas. His boss knows our situation, and iv also got a scatty 5 year old cocker spaniel who needs 2 walks a day. He did this when I was 27 weeks pregnant for 1 week and it was bad enough.
His boss has offered him over double his wage for going which we really cannot turn out :-( I don't want him to go but it would mean we would have an amazing Xmas and won't be skint in Jan when his paternity pay comes in. Iv spoken to my mam this morning abut it and she thinks he should go, it's only 4 hours away if anything were to happen, and she has offered to have Olly for me to rest. But I just know he won't ever forgive himself if he missed the baby's birth - Ollys birth was only 6 hours from waters going (3 from pains starting) and I worry I case this is sooner

Xx

That's good your mum has offered to help. If it's going to be worth it for you all then just need to remember that while he is away. I'm sure all will be fine and he won't need to worry about getting home for baby's arrival.

How's everyone's movements these days? Are they more like proper movements now rather than kicks? I still get quite a few kicks/jabs but have noticed they actually move about more, sometimes which I can only feel when holding my bump. I think they move a lot more than I realise because I don't constantly sit with my hands on bump waiting for them to move. Quite weird feeling them actually move under the skin rather than just having jabs poking out of my tummy.

I'm more constant, strong, movement now as opposed to big kicks at the moment as they are both facing my spine so makes sense. All of today I have had a little heel or foot or something constantly poking out my belly - giving my OH the heebiejeebies when I tell him to feel it lol.

Haha I've not had anything that I can actually tell what body part it is yet - think that would give me the heebiejeebies too! I seem to feel them moving rather than just kicks/jabs which is all I could feel to begin with. And whenever I feel my bump someone always seems to be moving about of some sort, usually with less impact than the bigger movements hence why I don't always feel it unless I touch my bump. It's quite weird how much movement has changed and gone from just feeling kicks to feeling full on movement.

How are yours lying lols??

they're both head down, feet up and facing towards my spine at the moment that's why I know it's a little heel or foot (I assume). Oh i'm feeling every movement just now; they woke me a few times throughout the night moving about. Only the past half hour is the quietest they have been the full day long. It's so lovely to feel the movements though whether it be kicks and jabs or just them moving about :)

So perfect position if you were having a natural birth lol. Ours are still transverse, I think the bottom one is lying on his back but not sure about the top one. Maybe that's why I don't feel movement as much. Must admit I tend to get pointy things poking out which I assume are maybe knees/elbows and hands/feet whereas you'll feel big movements with their backs being outwards. I don't really feel any movement at all unless I'm sitting/lying down so if I'm on the move during the day they're quite quiet (or probably not, I just don't feel it).

Jeez girls you are going great, it's bad enough here with just the one to content with and you are battling with 2. Well done

Just got off the phone to the doctor about my heartburn and he won't give me anything else but more ranitidine :-(
He has prescribed me gaviscon and liquid which iv been spending a fortune on so it will save me some pennies

Xx

I'm struggling now! Can't get comfy at all and feel sore and under the weather most of the time. Not sleeping too well now either although fine once hubby is away to work so might see if we can get the spare room sorted this weekend.

That's not so good, I've had to send hubby for gavsicon on his way home from work because I couldn't sleep last night due to sicky acid burps when I lay down. Hadn't taken my omeprazole for a few days though so could be why. I've read that refreshers or love heart sweets can help - might be worth a try?

Going to have a warm bath I think. Haven't had one since we moved in here over 3 years ago and no idea when I had one before that. See if it makes me feel any better!

Mines were transverse not long ago did you get a section date or that sorted yet? I sometimes get a wee bum appearing up also normally if I'm lying in the bath for some reason x

They gave me rantidine the other day, heartburn is horrendous. They told me not to take gaviscone with it as it could cancel them out x

Not yet, we see the consultant on Monday again so planning to ask about delivery then and tell him I would like a section. I think because they're transverse is maybe why I'm so uncomfortable - I'd rather they were lying up/down than across the way!

I feel most movements around my pelvis atm at times I can still feel baby move or turn which makes me queasy.

Do you know how they're lying? I was getting some massive wallops really low down last night - one actually made me go "ouch!".

Much better night last night thank goodness! Don't know if it was due to me having a bath or maybe the gavsicon I took before bed, possibly both, but I got a pretty decent sleep until about 4am when I couldn't get back to sleep but finally dropped off again. How anyone can glug gaviscon from the bottle I have no idea, I was nearly sick!!

I saw midwife last week and she said baby is head down but other than that don't know anything else, I was 27.5 weeks and am now 29. I hated gaviscon before I was pregnant but now I adore it, think it is purely as I can get relief and I am one of those that glugs from the bottle, some of the alternative stuff is awful! I can't stand the mind which is ironic as I hate aniseed.
I tried to prop myself up last night but I just was sore in my hips from the angle. I have this constant tight pain on the left hand side and I feel so tight everywhere. My lb has an awful cough so everytime he was coughing in the night it woke me up as sometimes he is sick with it so all the sleep I had the other day has been cancelled out!
On a plus side had my final risk assessment with work last night so hopefully no more late shifts and I am moving off the manual work now so I can manage that for the next 5 weeks!

Aw no I honestly was nearly sick. I had to hold my nose to take the rest  hubs got the peppermint one for me and there wasn't a hint of peppermint when I actually tasted it!

Fab news about work, hopefully you can take it easier for your last few weeks. I'm on my last day of my holidays today, mat leave starts on Monday. So bored already but hubby is on holiday next week so looking forward to having some company lol.

My friend text me yesterday asking if I was free on a certain day as her and her sister want a girly catch up. Something tells me they're planning a baby shower as she never ever arranges anything that far in advance! It's in December though so here's hoping the twins haven't decided to arrive before then!

Aw that sounds lovely, dh told me if they didn't do something in work then I would have to start my mat leave early and I really didn't want to do that as have 4 weeks off before baby is coming a lot more than when I had DS. My oldest friend is visiting tomorrow so I am looking forward to that, have a later start in work on Sunday which is lovely no more 8am starts! I just find I struggle walking around long distances now I wonder if its the position of baby's head.
Today I have a bad head and have a bit of work to do at home but cannot find the motivation!!
