**********january 2016 mummies**********

After my 1st section it took longer to heal the shaving cuts than the section scar.
Waxing all the way for me. I will be going to the works the day before I go in for my section.
Never thought of waxing what do u ask for as its more than a bikini isn't it?
I am still getting mine waxed every 4 weeks. But most will do a maternity one. They prep for sections regularly. Or so mine tells me.
But if you tell them is for a section preparation they will know.
Waxing definitely easier that the dreaded razor.

Last time I was waxed was hols and we all know what happened there! I might go get waxed instead. Last time the shaved me with a mens razor the thought puts me off

Hahaha kelly;), well apparently double pregnancy can really happen, you better be careful

phew i'm glad this convo's going on as i keep thinking about it and trying to decide what to do !
had midwife again this week, blood results were good, iron levels fab- bit surprising since i'm a veggie, wigglers growing well with a happy heartbeat :) although she's shifted since last time and is now head up- hopefully she'll shift again in the next couple of weeks. had jabs on wed and think my arms have just stopped aching today  got some baby room things today and painted, starting to get real now :)

still waiting on a scan date, supposed to be around 34 weeks and they've been sending out letters a couple of weeks in advance so think i'll give them till wed before I phone and double check

i'm missing wine & a normal belly!
knackered & achey after the decorating, think i'll google waxers near me then probably fall asleep
hope everyone's having a good weekend

Wax scares the crap out of me lol. I tend to shave and then use my hydrocortisone cream to stop any rash as my skin is so sensitive as it is (hence why I only usually trim it really short and not actually shave it). Will need to do something though as do not want them hacking at me!

Funny u say about missing things I'm missing brie and my waist!
I also miss needing to see if I need a bikini wax hahah

Hahaha!! It's been a while since I could see down there!! Our midwife was talking about c sections at our antenatal class last week and she was on about shaving down there then piped up "or they will do it for you as I imagine you can't see down there now" thanks but hubby can get that job! No danger I'm letting my consultant shave me down there - read some horror stories about how they just dry shave you so you're left with a horrid rash afterwards!! No thank you!

There is nothing I can imagine worse than being shaven by someone in the hospital!!! I think I'll struggle with odd positions in the bathroom with legs up high on random surfaces whilst trying not to fall out instead!!

Sounds like a much better idea doesn't it? the lengths and struggles we'll go to to avoid it!!

I'm going to book in the day before my section and go for the works...get all body parts waxed, and a pedicure. If nothing else looks pretty my feet may as well!

Haha so true tillie! I don't think I'll have the energy or inclination to be stuck on a beauty therapy bed by the time I reach 36 weeks!

Just sorted all the stuff off the spare bed and put lots of stuff away in the nursery. Poor hubs is being evicted tonight!

Wow I've told my partner he can start shaving for me or I'll be going in like a big hairy mofo. I'm really struggling to shave my legs now.

Finally got the baby unit built up today it will be a massive help after a section - tomorrow I'm starting packing our bags x

That looks great

I must pack my bag this week (i say that every week)
Need to go buy underwear, other than that I think I have everything, just need to pack.

Got my changing unit built last night, so can start washing clothes now I've somewhere to store them.

Other than that we have no sign of a baby coming. I've our pram carseat and bedding bought from a local store, so will lift them a few days before the section.

Lols what names have you decided on? Noticed the initials on the unit - it's lovely. We've got a changing unit on top of one of our sets of drawers so the top drawer is full of nappies etc with all the small clothes in the drawers underneath so they're to hand. We've not got anything downstairs yet but the travel cot has a removable changing station on it and we've got storage footstools so think I'm going to fill one of those with nappies etc too.

Jude and Anthony :)

There's a bath in the changing unit under the mat but I also have another wee bath with a seat included so I think I'll be using that one more so. In my living room I've cleared out a section of my sideboard to also pack with nappies and wipes etc - just to have them at hand throughout the day x

Aw lovely names!! We've not braved actually getting anything with initials or names in case we change our mind when we see them lol.

We've got 2 baths with the support in them as hubby's granny bought them for us. I'm loving the blooming baths though so might have to invest in one once they're here if no one gets us one (I've posted a few hints on Facebook haha).

Since we've tidied out the spare room hubby thinks we've got enough nappies to keep us going until they're 18  unfortunately we've only got enough to last us until they're about 18lbs!

It's so exciting to see/read about everyone getting prepared now we're all so close to our due dates and sections!

We put up our bedside crib today, the Snuzpod2. It's absolutely beautiful, I'm so smitten - we opted for the white one and it goes so well with the rest of the furniture in our home. We won't be properly organising and painting the nursery for another 4 weeks yet, as I need to stay working in there as long as possible, but come Christmas week I'll be moving into the bedroom to work whilst OH, who will be off work for 3 weeks, will get cracking!

All we need to buy now are some nappies and the smaller sizes for our hospital bags. I'm going to start on packing our bags and writing my birth plan this weekend, it's pretty much the only free weekend I have between now and New Year's!

Our nursery is painted am really pleased with the colour considering I wanted pink and its not! Carpet comes next Tuesday and furniture the following Saturday so Dec I should be moving items in at last. Ive loosely packed my bags so if anything happens hubby has to hand but I need to pack properly which I will do in the next few weeks whilst waiting to get nursery done. Can't wait for the next arrivals to arrive

I'm enjoying being lazy cos the nursery has been finished and the bags have been packed for weeks  cue lots of film watching on mat leave!! We're in the process of glossing some new doors we've had fitted but hoping to finish that tomorrow. Hubby's on holiday this week so looking forward to some us time before the twins arrive and doing some final prep!

Got our scan tomorrow and, as usual, I'm so nervous! I don't know if I'm more nervous because we will hopefully be discussing delivery with consultant and I'm still worried he's going to say no to a section. Also the fact that if he agrees then there's a chance we could get our date for when they'll be here! Plus I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow so only 6 weeks max to go, it's getting scarily close!!

Sorry I may have missed it along the way wishing, do you mind me asking why you'd prefer a section?
