**********january 2016 mummies**********

Have a chill out day, it's all I do nowadays haha I'm so lazy!

Got rudly woken by next door drilling!! Fuming! They're trying to sell the house and don't think they know I'm pregnant as leased it for a year and nobody's been in it since! Just wound me up as I thought if I'd had the baby it could be disrupting our nap time haha so I've come round to the in-laws (they live a few doors down haha I bring the dog too!)

Got much planned for today? X

I've just spent a couple of hours out and about walking, done a mini food shop for essentials and finally picked up some energy bars and snacks for during labour. Hoping the walking around will get things moving, esp as I was walking quite comfortably and at a fairly good pace around Tesco! It felt like the fastest I've walked in ages.

Do think I need a nap now though....

Our neighbours are always banging about but they have 2 little girls, one is 3 and one is 1, and there's times we've not been the quietest at night so I suppose I can't complain. My OH says I stomp about like an elephant and I'm always dropping things lol, oops!

We're probably noisy too, and for some reason especially in the evenings haha I notice we jokingly shout at each other or mess around more haha we're still really childish, in some ways, at the age of 25 hahaha I just hear my (other) next door neighbour's singing haha

Haven't felt baby much today or yesterday (only realised at 1 this morning) so going to have a drink and a lie down, hate it when you mention movements and everyone is like 'I'm sure it ok, not much room left' THATS NOT THE POINT!!!
Haha x

I had that this morning. I usually feel baby every 1.5-2.5 hours, but this morning I had been awake for a good 1.5 hours and not really felt anything. Took half a litre of ice cold water and lying on my left side to get them beating me up inside! Been super active since, or just more noticeably. I think I'm worried a lot more about reduced movements now I'm overdue. Obviously I've always kept an eye on it, but twice in a week I've had to do the water/lie down trick, whereas pre-overdue, I only did it once through my whole pregnancy! Hope baby gets wriggling for you xo

I lay down and had a few little movements, get up to have tea before I call hospital and baby has decided it's awake now!! It's such a monkey, it's done this before, but I know what you mean about being overdue and worried more, scares the hell out of me! Going to carry on monitoring this evening (obviously more than normal) and if I'm not happy I'll call up

Edit: how you managed to walk round tesco is beyond me, I can barely make it up the stairs to the toilet! I also feel very big today, doesn't help I'm wearing a dress thing that looks like I'm wearing a tent haha, big probably isn't the right word, mahoosive more like! X

Hello Jan mummies!! I am going to set up a ''December mummies'' thread over in the baby and toddler section on here. Would you like me to make it ''December and January mummies'' we can all share tips for our newborns and give support etc? xx

sounds like a good idea Lisa ! will be needing All the tips n advice possible since I am a FTM x

Just had a cramping/tightening that's felt different to the ones I've had previous days... But it didn't seem anywhere near painful enough to be a contraction! Trying not to get my hopes up......

Nope, no more just the one! :( Definitely felt different though. A few people think I'll start overnight as I've had a massive energy boost since yesterday afternoon but I'm trying not to read to much into it!

Any niggles at all today Ellie?

Yeah had some tightening this evening so BH but nothing come of it obviously! Going to plod round the house tomorrow and have a word with next door if they come back drilling, just to let me know so I can make myself scarce (and baby)!

Well I don't want to rise hopes as that's what got me down, but obviously fingers crossed for you, as they do say you get the surge of energy, which I really haven't had haha xx

My SIL suggested sex 3 times a day everyday and eat pineapple everyday!?! Seriously? Not a chance on the rumpy-pumpy haha x

I've had that feeling again 3 times over the past hour or so.... I.just don't know if it's 'it'!

It's like a pressure, tightening and it's not painful but it does make me stop and concentrate on the feeling.

Well that's every 15-20 mins, right? I don't know if you're still plodding around the house now but if you are keep walking around or bounce on your ball, but if you're in bed I would stay there (personally) because if it is 'it' you can rest inbetween before they get too much! X

Yeah basically around 20-25 mins apart. I Googled and it said contractions at the start should last around 40 seconds, which they are, and every 20-30 minutes, which they are. But... It's not painful, just a noticeable tightening if that makes sense? So I don't know if it is the start or not. We've just got in bed as OH is up earlier tomorrow for work.

Didn't happen again once we got in bed! So frustrating. But going to try keep active again today and see what happens. It's given me hope that Wednesdays sweep will work, but I'm also nervous as OH can't come with me to this appointment and I'm dreading it hurting again!

LO has had really raspy breathing overnight, getting worse each time she fusses. Waiting for the drs to open at 8 to see if they can get her in :(

Lots of colds going round at the moment, hope LO gets on the mend very soon!! xo
