***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Thanks TS- ditto!

Mine seem to have died down now - so scary! X

Glad I'm not the only one getting painful BH. They say they shouldn't be painful but I had them last pregnancy too. Mostly in the evening on days I'm feeling like I've overdone it. Not that I'm doing much these days! Acctually I've been feeling a bit less awful and BP seems a little more stable so that is good.

Hope things are okay TS

Hey!

Hope you don't mind me gate crashing, but I may be joining the Jan club!
Was due Boxing Day but it looks like I may be late enough to have my baby next year!!
Hope you are all well anyway and not long for you all now x

Given up on sleep and now eating toast watching dire TV in the hope it will bore me to the extent I doze off. Poor hubby is going to have a right stroppy cow on his hands tomorrow I imagine!

Mmmmm toast, I could just have some toast and a warm sweet tea!
With the risk of waking my 2 year old though......

Hope you manage to get some rest Spal.

X

Been so restless tonight. Had tummy pains but feels like trapped wind. No pattern to it at all. Just scary. Googled trapped wind pain and it seems folk have been in labour and mistaken pain for trapped wind.

Things quietened down for me too xx got some sleep in anyway but need lots more xx baby been quietvagain all night so hoping at this stage it's normal and just him getting ready to meet the world xxoh toast and sweet tea sounds lovely xx

TS - glad that things calmed down a little
Jolly - hope the same thing happened for you!
Spallerina - being awake overnight & in pain is no fun, did your tea & toast make a difference?
Mrs w - didn't know that about trapped wind sensation potentially being the start of labour! How are you feeling today?

Am en route to scan appt - really hope it's an in & out matter or getting home will be a nightmare! Otoh if they kept me in tonight I could get the best view of the best fireworks in England so kind of in 2 minds :-)

I ended up in the bath last night following very painful BH too...must have been the night for it. I think some of mine might have been trapped wind though and for some reason, although this little lady has preferred me to lie on my right side the entire pregnancy, suddenly she protests and goes mad so I've moved back over to my left side.

Hubby is a lot more stressed out and nervous this time around which is strange as he was fine last time.

Hope everyone is doing ok this morning. Sounds like things are gearing up for quite a few of us now xx

Baby just tried to frighten the life out of me and midwife heart rate dropped to 90 and was told to move onto side and put on trace again all ok now again little monkey xx be here for tonight now anyway xx
Good luck with scan TC look forward to update later xx

Oh wow TS, sorry you are spending another night in but much better to be safe than sorry! Plus it's not as if you'd be out raving?. Keep us posted.

Unless things do happen pretty quickly Bumpage3, it does look like you'll be a January Mummy after all?

Had another horrendous night's sleep - no real reason I just cannot sleep? I need extra wee's and James still has a cough but I am just wide awake??

OH said this morning that he can't wait for me to have baby, thought it was sweet until he explained I have been really miserable, moany and snappy with this pregnancy  (He wasn't having a go, just said I've really had a hard time / not been myself!)

Am in work but should finish by 3pm, will be home for 3.30. Bath and PJ's for me - rock and roll. Have got nibbles and a miniature Prosecco for later. As I can't sleep I may as well wait up for Midnight!!!

I have been having some BH, not at all painful just weird? Other than that nothing. I was the same with James and until it actually started I had nowt going on apart from BH which I often thought was movement anyway

X

So exciting to find out who will be next!! Don't think I am getting close - no real BHs or other signs!

I was back at work yesterday & today - very laid back as mainly on what they call in the fire service "Christmas Stand down"!

OH at work till 11pm tonight too so might just have half a glass of bubbles to see the new year in at home when he is back!

Morning ladies!!!

Well an interesting night- my "contractions"slowed down but I was left with really bad period type pain. Couldn't sleep until gone 3.30 and then up with Freddie at 6.30. Hadn't felt baby move since before the "episode" so went to the hosp this morning to be checked.

Definitely a bad case of Braxton hicks and baby moved as soon as I was put on the trace.

So no baby here yet. I was pretty damn scared that was it though! They were so painful!!! X

They want to start inducing me tomorrow! OH is panicking a bit! Dreading telling my mum, she will spend the next few days going mad with anxiety!

Oh Wow TC.

How are you feeling hun, I know it's not completely out of the blue but still a bit of a shocker?

Is this to do with issue picked up last week with the cord pressure?

Do you need to tell your Mum yet? I mean if she is going to add stress to the equation maybe you don't tell her yet?

Tell OH to man up LOL, seriously I do have sympathies with the guys.. it's hard for them as they aren't really able to do much. Do tell him nicely that you need him calm and collected.

Best of luck and keep us posted as much as you can

X

Tri hopping here, Mrs T, my sister thought she had bad trapped wind but it turned out to be the start of contractions! Good luck if that is what it is!

Thanks Nat xx best place for me and baby xx no I definitely wouldn't be out raving lol xx

Good luck for tomorrow TC kinda wish they would come say that to me now atvthis stage xx get it over and done with xx

Hi Carnat - yes the scan this morning still showed high pressure in the umbilical cord meaning the baby is getting less oxygen than he should, so they were like "better out than in" now I'm at full term.

I had thought induction might be an option but given the baby's good movements and healthy growth I was kind of surprised that they advocated this, especially the "we can't fit it in today, but tomorrow or the day after" part!

This is about the opposite of the natural, hypnobirthing/waterbirthing labour I had wanted (part of my OCD is to do with chemicals and drugs etc) so I guess I need to spend the next day mentally preparing myself.

On the upside, a man was holding a 9-day old baby opposite me in the clinic and he was the cutest little thing... can't imagine what it's like to hold your own newborn baby, but it must be amazing! xx

Good luck with induction TC. Exciting for you :)

SOrry you have to spend another night in there TS, but like Nat said, better to be safe than sorry.

Nat, do we have the same OH. We had the same conversation earlier today and yesterday. I have been moaning a lot more this time around, but then it feels a lot more uncomfortable at this stage...last time I'd already had the baby before the really uncomfy part kicked in.

Jolly, are you allowed to go natural before c-sec or will they whip you in for a c-sec if things kick off before your are booked to have it?

I feel on tenderhooks at the mo as J was so early and I have passed that point. Keep wondering if every twinge is something and can't face this for another 3-5 weeks :/
