***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Happy Christmas Eve ladies!!!!

Busy one here, I'm sooo looking forward to just stopping!

Got a few final bits to do but the main thing is getting the house clean and tidy- we have sooo much washing and ironing to donors untrue- I don't know where it comes from!!!

Terrible night sleep- up about five times to pee and each time I had to have more gaviscon! Forgot to sat yesterday that baby is no longer back to back- she made us ver aware of her bottom last night by poking it out at us! Xxx

Jolly I'm jealous of baby turning. My wee one seems to think it's a game. Feels like it's turned, I get all excited then, bam big kick at belly button just to remind me they haven't moved anywhere!

Happy Christmas Eve (I am grumpy as I am at work!!! Although should be home by 3pm!!)

Had another awful nights sleep - tooth ache / baby having a party / James is snotty again and has a cough.

As soon as I get home it will be bath and festive PJ's for me and James [Daddy refuses to partake in the festive jim-jams lol] and then it's going to be a cosy night in before the madness of tomorrow. We're off to my folks for dinner - there'll be 11 of us including 4 kiddies - all boys, all aged 6 and under
Then we'll head to OH folks for an hour or two.

Luckily both sets of parents live near each other, and we're only a 20 minute walk away.

Boxing day I don't get dressed and we live on M&S party food all day. Excited about that LOL

That Sounds good Nat. We are doing the rounds today and tonight to deliver presents. Then tomorrow will be dinner for 2 plus bump. We are having a quiet one as thinking next year could be a bit crazy. Means I have to cook with hubby's assistance right enough but at least we can take our time and eat when we want.
Boxing Day I'm going to my uncles but not till half 6/7 so chill out day for me.

Mrsw, would love to have a quiet one indoors, but my Mum's dinner is worth the effort - plus I have already claimed any leftovers. Ha!!

Meant to say good news re: baby turning TC, and at least they are keeping an eye on the other issue.

Yay for baby being no longer being back to back Jolly. THis little lady loves sticking her bum as high up in the air as she can. Not comfy at all, but makes me laugh too.

hope work isn't too bad today Nat. I am off for a bath in a sec then I shall also be putting on some festive pj's and just chilling. Hubby needs to run the hoover round but that's about it.

We're off to my mum and dad's on boxing day...we're having xmas dinner that day instead of tomorrow due to my dad and brother working tomorrow. Dad's dinner is epic so not a chance I'd miss it, and I just can't face cooking this year now I am so big and uncomfortable. Will be taking hospital bag, notes and baby's car seat just in case though as they live a couple of hours away. Coming back on Sunday evening when I will finally be full term :)

Mrs_W is it definitely a foot kicking, or could it be an elbow jabbing instead?

Have a lovely time Ceecee, not sure I could do an actual trip at the moment but I should be OK for a few hours - then I plan on 3 days doing naff all lol

Hi Nat yeah my Dr's have one but they have been cut on using them for some reason but I might just ask Monday when I'm in again xxx

I would lay it on thick hun, tell MW how worried you are considering what happened with Tyler etc and if all else fails then cry at MW !!

It's def foot. My stomach collapses under my belly button when I lie down and is soft so no back there. Textbook shape for posterior. Hardly any kicks up top of bump.
Oh and lots of wee movements right at pubic bone from wee hands.

Ronnie really don't be worried- I looked at my chart yesterday- the scan put me bang on 50th centile for weight, yet I'm above the 95th centile on this chart- it's nonsense!!! X

Also, I have to be on a trace for labour (if I go naturally), I know it's not preferred, but it's just to make sure Babba's ok and believe me is absolutely the best thing if you're high risk- try not to let these things get you down, you're going to have such a beautiful baby in your arms in no time at all xxx

Woohoo glad your babies head down TS! I cannot believe it's Christmas Eve :/ I had my midwife appointment today and babies head's still free. I'm really anxious at the moment as my babies measuring so big and I'm so small :/ I don't see how it's going to work! I'm high risk and have to be on a monitor the whole labour too :( I'm gutted. Just feeling down today and to make matters worse we just found out we have to pay £2,500 for a damp course on our new house! X

Fundal height only an indication but isn't at all accurate for telling the size of the baby. I was measuring 5 weeks ahead in fundal heigh at one point this pregnancy! I do know its a big baby, but not THAT big, lol. The MW said that its not so much what you measure on the chart she looks for but how you compair to yourself. A sudden increase in fundal height can indicate a problem. If you have measured large from early on its just as likely to be how you carry the baby. I am quite tall but its all in my legs, I have a short body. I think baby doesn't have anywhere to tuck into so all sticking out the front! Once baby drops down and engages the fundal height usually gets smaller too. I wouldn't worry too much about baby not being engaged yet, it can happen any time from weeks before to during labour.

If you don't like the idea of being on trace for the whole labour do some research about your options. There is some evidence that it isn't the most effective way of preventing problems. Ask if they have wireless equipment available so you can be free to move around. If not you may at least feel comfortable to ask for a break to walk around more freely.

At my 32 week consultant appointment they measured me as 37!! And they didn't bat an eyelid as my growth scan the previous day put baby on the 50th centile on the chart. At my 34 week mw appointment the fundal height was back to 34 again.
We're just getting ready to go to the outlaws and stay overnight (a little concerned they'll be shocked at my snoring!), we're having a Chinese meal tonight since Mil would burn water!!. So we'll have tomorrow morning and a very light lunch with them then we'll come to my folks for dinner (even OH raves about it) and spend the night there, boxing day dinner there too then home. Thankfully all close enough so not driving loads to see anyone.

Very happy Christmas ladies xx just got to bed at last. Thanks Nat think I will cry to get seen ;) xx
Try not to worry too much Ronnie xx
