***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

I had my whooping cough vaccine today so a wee sore arm (though nothing compared to my dad's spinal injection today). We have the pleasure of doing up a house we rent out, the last tenants trashed it so it's a total nightmare. Keeping me active if nothing else! And I figured out I have 9 working days left!!! I should have 12 but ds has surgery on the 9th so I'll need to be off with him. I don't have enough time to do everything I need to do!

Good luck with all the appointments coming up this week! I have the mw on Thursday too.

Glad to hear you are moved at last Nat, must be a huge relief!

I'm really struggling with work. Just over five weeks to go, exhausted just thinking about it! Sleep is fairly non-existent due to back/hip pain, so I am mostly walking around like a zombie. Wish I could drink coffee all day to keep me going!

Ah snap Megs!! I made sure I had it in my right arm his time as with my son I had it in my left then couldn't lie on that side!

I did spend over half an hour in the nurses room while she phoned around to make sure I definitely had to have it as I last had the jab in March 2013 and she thought it meant I was still covered,, even though the point of the jab is so that the BABY is covered!! Very pointless amount of time wasted! X

Oh jolly I didn't even think about which arm! It's in my left and I'm much more comfy on my left, oh well, can't undo it now :)

Glad the move went well Nat and good luck with GTT tomorrow.

Jolly, hope growth scan goes well. I'd love to see baby again but I won't get any more scans, boo.

I had my whooping cough and flu jab at the same appt a couple of weeks ago...one in each arm. Had dead arms for 2 days so wasn't much fun trying to get to sleep but I guess it got it over with.

I think nesting kicked in for me today as I have deep cleaned my entire house over the last couple of days. Totally shattered now and my back it killing me, but the house is gleaming! Hopefully, it will mean I just have to keep on top of things until baby arrives now, as not sure I could do it again with an even bigger bump. I've got 10.5 working days to go until I finish. Can't come quick enough at the mo.

Finally had a relatively good night's sleep..first time since we signed our tenancy. Didn't realise how much id been worrying and stressing.

Got a few calls to make today so will do that whilst at the hospital. Thankfully I'm not at all bothered about blood tests.

This afternoon will be chill out time me thinks.

Had both my flu jab and WC jab is left arm - a few weeks apart - as last time I had them both together (one in each arm ) and I really struggled with my right arm being dead for a few days.

X

Ah nat glad you had a better nights sleep- hopefully as the days go on it will only get better :-)

I didn't sleep so well- nightmares, Freddie crying, cat flying about the house, husband irritating me, jab in right arm, seriously bruised rib on left side!!! Argh!!!

Anyway, just had scan and baby is estimated to be 4lb 4oz!!! Which means they're estimating her to be 8lb 4oz when I have my section eek!!! That's almost a full 2lb heavier than Freddie was when he was 42 weeks!!!!

8lb 4oz seems massive, but it's not really is it? X

Oh and I've been booked in for another scan at 36 weeks due to not being able to feel much with the anterior placenta x

Woohoo for a decent sleep Nat!! I had my flu jab at work which was before I was able to have the whooping cough one, so I couldn't coordinate them both. My arm is worse today than yesterday, I felt it when turning in bed but it didn't stop me lying on it! I had a bit of a meltdown before bed about DS going for surgery, I'm petrified that he's having surgery at all, and the anaesthetic. Just the thought of not being able to protect him from that and keep him safe is making my head spin. I seem to have become even more protective of him since we lost Oirrinn, but he has to have it done.

Jolly my DS was 8lb11oz, I'm thinking anything around that is ok with me, I hope not much heavier though!

GTT all done. It was actually fine..... read a few magazines and actually had a 2 hour chill out lol. The MW was a bit brutal with the old needles but I'm ok with blood tests.

Gonna grab some supplies then head home and hopefully have a nap with James today.

I have a scan the day before I'm 38w..will be interesting see how baby is measuring.

James was 7lb 8oz at 41w despite a scan at 34w 'predicting' he'd be an 8lb-er at 40w

X

Glad your all moved in and settled Nat. A good nights sleep is always a good way to feel better. Fingers crossed Jolly that you have a better night sleep tonight!

I'm off to the hospital tomorrow for my next lot of bloods. Going to a hospital to which my midwife doesn't work always means i have to go there to have bits like that which is a bit annoying. Although I'm going to double check my consultant appointment when I'm there to just make sure it's with the right person in the right place. So paranoid about it all and hate not having an outcome for my delivery yet. Roll on 17th December so i will know :-)
30 weeks on Saturday, eek! It's all feeling very real now.
Normally i hate new years eve, but this year will be the first time I'm ever happy to see it and properly want to celebrate!

Hey all just a quick one

has anybody packed there hospital bag?

quick show of hands lol

Haven't packed mine yet, but starting to gather a few bits. Very exciting! x

As you can gather, I'm not packed. im 31+4.

but do need to buy things i suppose

Started buying bits on the weekend but not thought about packing yet! x

I've not even given it a thought!! I do have some bits I've gathered over time but likely need more like maternity pads. Maybe I should get my finger out!! With ds my bag ended up in the ward while I was in the delivery room so didn't use any of it until after birth.

Not packed yet and this time next month I will be South to stay to deliver baby. Scary stuff, it's coming so soon now. Just can't bring myself to do it yet haha. X

Not even unpacked our stuff in new house. Thought of packing hospital bag makes me want to cry lol.

I do have a pack of breast pads and a pack of maternity sanitary towels though. Does that count?

X

Glad GTT was fine Nat.

J was 6lb2oz when he was born, but he was born at 37+1 so early. No idea what this little lady is going to be, although I seem to be carrying about the same now as I was at the same stage with J.

I've gathered a few bits for my hospital bag, but it's not packed yet. Have got all my maternity pads and breast pads, plus lanisoh cream and cotton wool balls. Also managed to get 2 x 74 packs of pampers size 1 newborn nappies on offer today though. £12 per pack or 2 packs for £15 (Tesco). The offer is on for another week or so I think, so will probably get some again next week too just to spread the cost a bit. Saved £9 so was worth it.
