Hi all xx had my 3D scan done Saturday will post pics later baby is measuring 2lb 7oz thats 7oz off what Tyler was born at 33 weeks Really pleased and definitely a Boy and he is high up and breech so hope he turns and moves down as I really want to avoid a c-section
My dr mixed up my appointment this morning so I will just wait until I go to hospital Monday

During the scan the baby's head was so far down they said, so I assume that's good too? Hah I feel so clueless about everything baby, I too can't believe that we will have these little ones soon I am getting so excited, but also so nervous. Not long now though xx

It must be so reassuring to know baby is growing well and at a nice weight?

I must admit that I do not like the 4d scans, I find they make baby look like an alien but when I had my last growth scan they went into 4d and I was completely astounded as to how beautiful my baby was in 4d.

It was amazing, didn't get any decent piccies as obviously it was an NHS scan and I decided against a private 4d one as we didn't have one with James but it really changed my mind about the whole thing.

Have another growth scan tomorrow, I look and feel massive and am getting a lot of strong movements but I still have that little bit of concern - so hopefully tomorrow will confirm all is OK and keep me going for another month

Sorry I've been offline for a couple of days as we have all got the lurgy here so dealing with a pukey 1 year old and being pukey myself has been a bit of a mission. Apologies if I miss someone out, I've quickly scan read through to catch up.

Meg...good luck for your dad having chemo. It's rubbish at the best of times, but around xmas must make it feel so much worse.

Lovely pics TS. 4D scans fascinate me but creep me out at the same time! I imagine they probably look amazing when you are watching them done live though.

Jolly, when do you get results of GTT?

As for me...not sure what we're doing for xmas yet. We have been invited to my parents but they live 2.5 hours away and don't fancy travelling that far then. My son was born 3 weeks early and if this one happens to arrive 3 weeks early by my scan due date then I could be looking at a boxing day baby! On the other hand, I love christmas dinner but just don't fancy cooking one at 37 weeks gone. Will have to see how it goes and how I feel nearer the time.

I love the 4d but now know it's nicer a bit later on (like now) rather than when I saw her in 3d at 17 weeks!

Ceecee really hope you're feeling better now? I will only hear about Gtt if something is wrong, otherwise if I don't hear I assume everything is fine- I should have heard by today or tomorrow if I have gd x

Does that mean you were 27+5 when you did the scan? I'm due the same day as you and had a scan at 27+1. Baby was estimated at nearly 3lbs! I already know I have big babies but looks like this guy might be even bigger! Sonographer didn't say a lot about it but he has my dates wrong on his files and I didn't bother to correct him. He had me at 28+2.

Hi Bunny Yes I was 27+5 for my scan xx Sounds like you have a nice little bundle there so at that weight but I've heard it's not really accurate for guessing final size xx my sonographer put me at 28+1 on Saturday with measurements, mad how it differs!!

This is my boy at his 4d scan!
we were shocked at how clear you can see him and he was only 24 weeks + 1 day here!!
Were now 29 weeks but havent a clue about weight etc but he was very very long/tall in the body scan!! eek x

Yeh, I don't really think they should give an age after your dating scan, it just confuses people. If I were to go by this scan I'd be due1st Jan instead of the 19th!

I just really hope I get to do the whole natural birth end of things I have no idea what a contraction feels like never mind the rest of it lol

Only had one growth scan with James and he was 5lbs at 34w.

Never had my dates changed this time or last time? Way to confuse a lady hey?

Fingers crossed we all get the births we want BUT it is just a means to an end so I feel a lot more relaxed about it all this time.

Hi all

Anyone else experiencing sharp stabbing pains in their boobs??? Its mainly just my left one but really painful! I have had a good feel for lumps etc but seems normal - just really tender and the pains come & go!

All my babies have been estimated to be about 3lb at my 28 week scans but all were born under 5lb, they can only estimate the weight I don't think they have ever got it right lol, last pregnancy I was told at 34 weeks i would have a 6-7lb baby she weighed 4lb 10 when she was born

Actually scrap angry, I just want to sit and cry - for no reason???

I haven't been particularly hormonal so far [and never was at all with James] but I just feel like I need a good old cry.

Shame I am sat at my desk.

Not sure if it's stress with so much going on - which is all good stuff though, nothing horrible??

I am sure seeing bub later will cheer me up!

Going back to baby weights, at 24w 2d she was estimated as 1lb 7oz, so just below bang on the middle of the weight chart for that gestation

I've never had scans past the 20 week one so never had weights estimated.

I did see midwife for 28 week appt on Monday though and fundal height was bang on 28 weeks. My weight gain and bump size is about what it was with my son at this stage too so I seem to have slowed down a bit after popping so soon.
