***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

I was calm during the lead up to labour, I was actually looking forward to it.

I just didn't cope all that well, but I know for next time  not sure what I expected but early labour was horrible.

Wonder how Kiwi is getting on and if we have another "January" baby yet?

X

Well ladies, I've officially had my last day at work, technically on annual leave before mat leave starts but glad I'm off now. My colleague made an amazing cake! (I'll try to upload a pic) and they gave me a lovely changing bag with matching clutch, all packed with goodies for me, dh and ds!

Taboo the snow out here is still lying on the main road and despite being on a bus route don't seem to even get a gritter!!

Hey ladies just to update, baby boy was born today at 6.06am, weighing 6.8 1/4 lbs. got my waters popped at 10.30pm and drip hooked up and all went rather quick. Baby doing well considering. So happy he's here now! Xxx

Congratulations!

Glad things went okay. Hope you are getting nice cuddles.

Meg- what a sweet cake. Not quite the same impact as the vagina cake though, lol.

Megs - that cake looks looooovely and how sweet that they gave you those goodies!

I have been enjoying my first day off work today - my first break since July so much needed. Work colleagues got me a retro space-invaders newborn-sized t-shirt (I work in technology so makes sense!) and the promise of a voucher for a massage.

Kiwi - congratulations on meeting your newborn baby!!! Hope you are loving being with him awwwwww so happy for you xxxxxxx

Congratulations kiwi!

Megs - it's snowed on and off all day but won't settle (we did have gritters this morning though seems like they might have been in the wrong place!!) It's pretty annoying as it would mean I could wfh tomorrow lol! We saw some cars on the drive home covered in snow so figured it must be a lot heavier in surrounding areas.

Happy annual/maternity leave enjoy a bit of relaxation and the time to get prepared! x

Yay Kiwi - well done darling!

So very pleased to hear about baby's arrival. Boys are just the best.

So happy for you and will update the first page.

Kiwi congratulations!!!! Hope all is going well, he's a lovely weight, thinking of you xxx

Yay, congrats on your little man Kiwi. Agree with Nat...I've loved every second of having a little boy :) Do you have a name for him yet?

Love the cake Megs, very cute. I still keep laughing at the vagina cake Spallerina had. Enjoy your leave too. I only have tomorrow (working at home), next wednesday (again at home), thursday (office) and am Friday (office) to get through until my annual leave kicks in. Then straight into mat leave from due date. Not that I'm counting or anything :D

How long are you off for Tinsel, or are you also on mat leave now?

I am on serious countdown- after tomorrow I have four days next week and that's it!!!

Anyway, my pressure in my foof was so bad at work I couldn't walk and had to get a friend to stand and talk with me while I leaned against a filing cabinet until I could walk again!!! It was right outside a glass meeting room with senior managers in and so embarrassing!!!

This pressure was almost in my bum this evening- felt like it was between my foof and my bum, but not quite in my bum (so not piles or anything) but again this is all new to me so not sure if normal or not???

Huge congratulations Kiwi, very glad to hear your little man has arrived safe and sound!

Congratulations kiwi!!

Can't believe these January babies are arriving!!

Hope you're okay Jolly, and I'm sure the senior managers understand that a heavily pregnant lady needs to rest when she can!

Ceecee - glad you're on the final countdown! I actually found working from home much worse than going into the office as I started on time, finished late & then ended up working through lunch as people kept skypeing me questions!! It's so much better when work days to go gets under 5 :) (I was counting down when they were well over 50!!)

I'm on holiday now, and I'm very lucky in that my office has a "shutdown" for 3 days between Christmas and New Year where everybody gets a mandated 3 days of holiday, so it worked very nicely with the baby dates! My official maternity leave starts around 38 weeks on 2 Jan. So hoping baby doesn't come early and do me out of some holiday, lol :)

Hope everyone gets a good night's rest tonight! x

Congrats kiwi ! Lovely news! Hope your both doing well.

Love the cake megs meadow! Almost to pretty to eat !! X

Who is expected to be our next 'January' baby? There must be a couple more planned for this month still?

I'm determined not to be before 38 weeks because we are planning a home birth with am independent MW and she is going to be away over christmas and newyear.

Congratulations Kiwi. Great weight. Glad he's doing ok.
I have been awake since half 2. Made the most of it and got the half price soap and glory sets. That's a few xmas presents sorted. Work will be interesting today right enough.

Bunny if this little lady comes early like her brother then we could be looking at a late December baby. Hoping she'll hang on until at least early January to be honest.

Tinsel, I'm really lucky in that I don't get contacted too much when I work from home, mostly by email if I do and it's usually quick to resolve. My job is pretty autonomous and stand-alone from the rest of the department so I am pretty much just left alone to get on with things and decide how my workload goes. Makes it easier for sure :)

Jolly that pressure feeling is horrible isn't it. I also didn't really get it with my son until just before I went into labour but I am getting it this time loads. Pretty uncomfortable to be honest. I just feel so much heavier and slower this time around, even though I'm carrying the same, my bump is the same size, my weight gain at this stage is the same...must just be because I had quite a small gap between pregnancies?

Love the early-hour shopping Mrs W. Hope you get some rest later though!!
