He is just too cute hun, he has always been one of my fave PF babies!

Keep us posted and make the most of your time with him before you go back to work

xxxxxxx

Thank you hunny, just can't believe how quickly the time has gone. How is James doing? X x

James is just dandy - he is really good at somethings (rolling and standing -with a little support) but he isn't great at sitting, he just doesn't have the patience lol.

What are the plans for Jacob's Birthday? I can't wait to see piccies of him on his big day

xxxxxxxx

Bless James, Jacob still can't sit from lying down and has only today crawled about 4 inches, usually he drags himself lol.

We've been having a sort out in the garden, weeding and generally tidying up as we were meant to be having a lot of work done in it but we got back off our holiday and Mikey ended up working away for 8 weeks so it didn't happen so were having to make do. So you guessed it we're having a garden party, We've hired a bouncy castle to keep the older children quiet (and Jacob can have a play before the others get here) we're going to get out the 2 paddling pools, we'll have a beech shade out and also maybe the ball pool. We're doing a simple buffet of sandwiches and snacks (nothing healthy lol) and a BBQ (our friends have volunteered to do the BBQ so we get to spend the time with Jacob :) )

Sounds lovely hun, if we were closer we'd pop in for a Birthday cuddle.

xxxxxx

Happy first Birthday to the amazing little Jacob.

Lots of love to you all

Thank you hunny, been a hectic day and it hammered it down but it didn't dampen our spirits and everyone still had a great day, the kids were all on the bouncy castle etc too. The BBQ just got changed to oven cooked haha x x

Lovely weight, James has just overtaken him now though!

James is such a fatty

Awww bless him, told you, Jacob is tiny, he's so small for his age, he is now 68cm tall bless him x

Well a night in hospital for JD, just what the dr didn't order :-( poor little man has had a cold which is fine but since Saturday mid afternoon his temp has not gone below 37.9 and has been as high as 40.4, his breathing was really fast and deep too.
We went on NHS direct, followed by having to call 111 (due to his heart disease) who then booked is an appointment at 20:40, (nearly 2 hours after our call) we went to the appointment got seen at 21:30, got referred to a&e (who said really we should have just gone straight from the appoinent to children's assssment unit but as we has been referred to a&e spent till 1:30 this morning in a&e followed by being referred to children's assssment unit.
He's done a urine sample, had an X-ray on his chest as his liver feels large (X-ray is fine, haven't heard back from urine yet) finally got a bed at 3.20, and by then although Jacob had had no sleep he wanted to play lol, managed to get him to settle cuddled up to me and put him in the cot, they came to do obs at 4:30 and woke him up, luckily he's settled quickly.

Gosh Sal, keep us posted!!

Sounds like Jacob is in good spirits though? He is such a brave boy.

I hope he is feeling better soon.

Lots of love

Drs have been round, They know its not pneumonia and its not whoosy chest/chest infection, but they don't know why his liver is enlarged or pushed down as X-ray showed no chest infection. His temp is at 37 at the mo but his skin is red hot, his breathing is still rough, they want to do an ECG another urine sample and they have done throat swabs they will have to do bloods if nothing shows up he's also on Anti-biotics but no answers yet.

He's spent all day today asleep of having well deserved cuddles, love my little man so much x x

I just want to scoop him up and give him the biggest cuddle in the world.

Bless ya Hun, still in hospital, temp still keeps going back up, been on about 38.5 most of today and had no paracetamol though, but they have seen blood in his urine so had to do another urine sample today x

Gosh Sal,

I know it's a cliche and I don't even want to say it but at least he is somehwere they can keep an eye on him.

The temp thing much be worrying so at least he is where the experts are???

Sorry that little man is having to stay in but he'll be home very soon

xxxxxxx

Hey. Jacob came home last night at 9pm, his temp has stated down today thank goodness. Although he's had a rash come up all over his torso, I called the hospital and they think its to do with his infection rather than a reaction to meds etc.
The discharge papers say he has an upper respiratory track infection, but I'm not convinced, I don't know why this would make his liver larger, also they found blood in his urine which they took another urine sample for and bloods for, the only blood we had back told us he is dehydrated; I'm forcing down as much fluid as I can, what else can they expect of me.
At least we are home and other than him being very tired, doing really well. X x

So glad you are home hun, when are you due back??

xxxx
