Congratulations to those that have had their babies!
Well it's been a long week for me, went in for induction on Sunday and got sent home 6 hours later as me and baby were too stressed. Went in Monday early, had 24 hour pessary which gave me tightenings for a few hours then all died off. Tuesday, had 2 rounds of the 6 hour gel, still no luck! During this baby wasn't engaged, cervix was forward but closed. In the end the consultant decided on a c sec for Wednesday due to position of cervix. I must say, all dignity was lost on that operating table but wow what an experience. I would do it all again. Surgeons looked at my cervix and it had started dilating but in future if I have more babies, I'll need to have them by c sec. I've recovered really well, still sore but baby Alfie was born on the 18th at 6:17pm weighing 8lb12. He is wonderful and ever so chilled. I didn't realise how much you could love something so small. It makes me want to cry! I am so proud of him, and my supportive OH who has been at my bedside 18 hours a day every day I've been there. We cam home this afternoon and he is happy in his Moses basket watching us.
