My due date is valentines day!!! At first I thought about I would prefer her to come before or after but now I don't mind! I just want her here lol!

Baby c sounds like a nice day planned!

I'm going to meet oh on this lunch break for a walk round asda to get some pineapples lol!! Then I will come home and go for another walk with my mum!!!
Just been told another tip! If sitting on the sofa try and sit on the edge like you do on your ball! Sit for 10 mins then stand for ten mins! Should baby pushing downwards! Going to try this lol xx

Im due on valentines day and wouldn't mind if baby came then. They might not thank me for it when they grow up though lol!!

I'm going for lunch with a friend today just to get out for a bit.

So sweep nr 2 completed- could of bloody kissed the midwife (she's doing holiday cover as mine is away).

Cervix is thin, slightly posterior, but she did a mega stretch and sweep and she said she could get to me around 3cm!!

She reckons something will happen in the next day or two (though she did say her record was someone's waters going 2 hours later!!)

So now in swinging between being mega excited, and totally crapping myself that I could actually go into labour naturally!! (Was induced with H, so have no experience of things kicking off on their own!)

I am completely having a breakdown at the thought of a sweep this afternoon, I really want everything to happen in it's own time I also feel very crap today anyway. I want to leave having a sweep today but I feel so selfish.

Oh Toni don't be worried by a sweep- it totally won't do anything of your body isn't ready for it.

I just look at it as a way of knowing how things are, then I can set my mind at ease

Even with a sweep, things still happen in their own time- I just like to know what's going on down there!!

I agree with Becky if you don't want one don't have one!
I have one booked for next week and I'm dreading it! But I keep thinking I'm going to let the midwife have a feel if cervix thin and worth her doinf it I will probably say do it but of she says no its not really ready but she can try I will so no!

I'm petrified so I really do feel for you toni xxx

Midwives generally won't do one if head isn't done enough, or even if they start an exam, they can tell pretty quickly as to whether they'll be able to do it (depending on position of the cervix)

Please don't be scared ladies- it's uncomfortable and makes you a little sore afterwards, but that's it xx

Sorry if tmi but is anyone else finding it really painful when they poo? Not the actual passing of it but it's like my whole lower tummy and pelvis area start aching like crazy period pain during and for a couple of minutes after. No other pains except then!

Yes baby c ... i was gonna ask too .. when ive had a poo and during , i get cramps lower tummy pains ... and after a wee sometimes i get pains at the top of my bump ... :/ . was gonnna ask consultant when i see him friday for my sweep ...

I'm a Valentine's baby too! I really don't mind it too much, it's my 30th this year too and all I want is my baby! lol.

I wonder how many valentine babys we will have? If any. I wouldn't mind sharing my birthday with my little girl.

Midwife tomorrow at 39+1, havn't seen her in 3 weeks, I wonder if she will offer a sweep at 40+1?

Good to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this Sarah, it started today for me and typically I've had to go twice today already! Really floors me for a while afterwards.

Can you let me know what he says on Friday please? My next appointment isn't until a week today and while I'm not worried about the pain I'd like to know what and why!

I was hoping for some baby news after being out

Spent a couple of hours hauling myself around The Range today. We were literally going up and down every single aisle. I was almost in tears by the end so had to leave. Now at my Mum's straddling a chair. Totally ready now!

Oh jeez I'm sooooo tired today, just had a nice nap. Have eaten my body weight in cheese and oatcakes today, feel guilty now. I've been getting period type cramps on and off but that's all really. 38 weeks on Friday so a bit behind all you ladies but would be really happy if babes made an appearance anytime now.

Sounds like your sweep went well Becky, here's hoping it gives baby a wee nudge along. Xxx

Hey girls,

Welllllllll, my waters broke at 7am this morning and I delivered my gorgeous baby girl at 8.40am.

Labour was fast and painful but gas and air was as amazing as I remembered. Small tear but no stitches and she came out perfect at 8lb12.
