Nici my cat is being a super stalker too, literally won't leave me alone. But then again so is dd, I think kids and animals must deffo sense these things!
Becky hope the mw goes ok tomorrow. Eek to a sweep at 39w! I'm sure she should agree to it. I saw my mw today and she said no sweep until 41w, seems harsh! But then said she didn't expect me to still be preggers then. Hmm I'm not convinced. Head is 3/5 palp today so heading in the right direction I guess.

MrsT, not sure if you can see properly but this is one of the 3 my mum has done for us! We had a pink & white one, a blue & white one & that one. That one is hhuuggee, I said bigger the better so she has spent weeks doing it, bless her. I've now decided I want this one for our living room as it matches perfectly so Gave her the delightful task of doing another one for baby! Good job she loves it hey!

I'd love to be able to do one but not sure I'd have the patience! I bet it's been a lovely way to relax for you though

Wow that is lovely!! See mine is nothing like that lol.... One kind of wool and will not be that big lol. I'm gonna do this one then might get some thicker softer wool, hopefully won't take me so long if it's thicker haha!

Blondy...in my pct area for your second baby they wouldn't normally do a sweep until 41 weeks-I'm assuming because they expect you to have given birth by then (because obviously your body has done it before)

Pip - I'm surprised they've offered one at 39 weeks for no reason...it's not something that's common. If I were you I'd hang on, purely because there's a limit to the number of sweeps they can do, due to risk of infection. So if it were me I'd be waiting til I was 40 weeks and then at least your body will be more ready (if that makes sense)

In a lot of European countries you're not classed as full term until 41 weeks.

In my first pregnancy my midwife didn't offer a sweep at 40 weeks as she said head wasn't further enough down...I did eventually get two done at the hospital, but they had no effect, and I was still induced

Zoe our baby has been going crazy of an evening for the last few nights but then tonight is much quieter. Ive still had plenty of movement so not worried but ive defo had increased movement over the last few days x

Yeah we have I don't know if it's baby finding right position by way went to pain relief class today was really really good did not relies how much baby has got to do before it pops outs xxx

In a wee bit worried tonight as I've had some absolutely massive movements and think baby has went from being head down to transverse or breech.....my first baby was born breech (undiagnosed) and my midwife today had a right good feel of my tummy. Baby was def head down but she was being so painful when trying to check whether baby was engaged that I had to tell her to stop.

Then after my huge movements tonight my bump and babys position feels different??

Should I just wait till my 40 week appointment in 2 weeks and see what they think then??

I'd say if you think baby has shifted breech you should get it checked out before you're 40 weeks. They don't (usually) let you deliver a breech baby on your own and I'd say the chances of you going into labour are quite high. Xx

Starlight, id contact your midwife again and see if you can get an appointment with her asap. If you cant, contact the hospital about having a scan??
My consultant this pregnancy told me at 28 weeks if baby hadn't turned by 36 weeks at the very latest he'd be concerned and get me in to talk options. I wouldn't wait til 40 weeks at all.

Zoe, lots of movement is good! Muscle building. Baby will be a proper beef cake by the time it's born

What is going on??
Had alot of cramping land back ache ast night and just didnt feel right.
Today i woke up up like iv been hit with the flu. All my joints are aching, coughing up phlegm, runny nose, head banging the lot!
Im also still cramping up this morning, seems to be coming in waves about every 10 mins or so. Im just so fed up with all this now and want my little bundle of joy out like yesterday!!

Anyway,any news on Bricey yet?
Seems like her little 1s very comfy in there xx

Nicipoo- have you taken any paracetamol to ease all your aches and pains?

Just had my 38 week appointment and all is good. Baby is 3/5 engaged so things are heading in the right direction. I'm booked in for my first sweep next Wednesday when I'll be 39+ 2.

About to take somemore shortly, not that there doing anything tho.
Ill be right, might go for another sleep shortlly see if i wake up any better.

Great news becky. I'm hoping baby has moved down a bit more. My friend has just called round and she said my bump looked lower so hopefully that's a good sign! Fingers crossed the sweep works and you get some action soon.

Hope you are feeling better soon Nici I cant imagine having a cold or flu on top of all the other pregnancy symptoms but best to get it over with now before baby comes.

Not heard anything from my email to mamas and papas. Grrrr xx
