Happy birthday starlight, hope your having a fab day!

Please do a labour thread bricey (if you have time that is!)
Xx

Thanks all! I'll def do a labour thread as have free wifi! I joked to other half I was taking my selfie stick for action shots ;)

Hello everyone!
Well I'm still in a bit of a state of shock but slowly the fog is lifting and feeling much better now we're all home. I got discharged a day early because I just couldn't get any sleep (snoring warthog in the next bed!) and was generally just really emotional and pissed off! Grace really not a fan of the boobies so kind of felt a bit of a failure despite the best efforts of everyone to get her to latch on. Have been hand expressing my colostrum and syringe feeding it to her along with good old SMA Gold! On the plus side, hubby has been much more hands on with her as I'm still quite sore from the caesarean.
Hope everyone is well and those babies are baking well until their time to come! Looking forward to hearing everybody's stories over the next few weeks xxx

Glad you are finally home Brumgirl. You will feel so much better just being in the comfort of your own home. Shame about Grace not breast feeding but at least you have tried so you can't class yourself as a failure. I wish you all we'll and hope you settle into a new happy family life :)

Went for my midwife appointment earlier, I'm 3/5 engaged! She is giving me a sweep next Friday at 39 weeks! Chances are, for me.. It won't work but why not give it a shot hey!

Xx

Happy birthday starlight

Brumgirl hope your feeling better now your at home! And don't feel feel a failure!!!!!

Bricey, I bet your so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep us updated x

It was my last day at work today, and I wasn't emotional, which I am shocked at!!!
That's it now a milestone done so now just to wait for baby girl!!! 37 weeks tomorrow!!! I'm starting to feel scared of labour now!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I go away for a few days and two babies have been born and so much else has been happening! Good luck tomorrow bricey.

I had a growth scan this week again and my little guy will be around 6lbs at full terms they've guessed so I'm thrilled with that. Last day at work today....it all feels a bit strange. I feel like I am going on holiday or something and then remember......4 weeks to go.
X

Aww glad you are home brumgirl, the pic on fb of Grace in her car seat was just adorable. She's so small and cute!! I hope you setttle into things over the next few days, and deffo keep us updated!
My scan went well today, she is estimated at 5lb 7 now so probably be 7-8lb depending when she comes. Unfortunately I have to stay consultant led because of my retained placenta and haemorrhage last time, but he promised me I can have the portable monitor so I can move around. Becky they thought baby was measuring small but she's right on track, phew!
Bricey how are you feeling this evening?

Rachel I bet it will kick in on Monday that you've finished! I just found it weird with no work to go to!

Congratulations to those finished work today - its a lovely feeling. Just wait until monday morning when theres no alarm waking you up!!

Glad everything went well with the scans foxy and blondy. Babies are getting big now!

Great news that you are home brumgirl. Defo dont be feeling a failure, you will be doing an amazing job. Bf just doesn't suit all babies. Im yet to find out if baby J will take to it or not.

Hope you are all prepared for tomorrow bricey - keep us informed as much as poss.

OH is going away for 2 nights at the start of feb and only now is he starting to think it was a bad idea (despite everything ive said!!) But its too late now apparently to drop out so i will just have to cross my legs and hope for the best.

Moses basket bedding all washed and smelling lovely :) xx

I bet you can't wait to finish Zoe! I hope the time doesn't go to quickly for you whilst your off.

I can't believe how quickly my days are passing. My OH works such long hours at the moment by leaving at 6am & getting home at 7pm, it's a long time on my own but the days don't drag half as much as I expected

Xx

JnyFer, a huge congratulations! Finley is gorgeous! Well done Mummy and Daddy! :D
I think we were due on the same day so this is quite a shock :P Rest up all of you xXx

Foxy, at some point during labour, your body flushes everything out of both ends. I don't remember this happening to me with my son until I was in the delivery room last time. Some Mum's on here have been watching out for this as a sign things are happening though...?

Omg jenyfr that was quick! Congrats, he is gorgeous
I love the grumpy puzzled frown of newborns, they all have the same look of p'd-off-ness!!!
