*******February mummies 2015*******

Im like that too Pip.
Keep having nightmares about the cord being involved and completely changing the birth plans i have. Or making him come early. So scary!!

Congrats Jazz and the name is cute too. Hope everythings well and ypu get to go home soon xx

MrsT baby J is the same, some days will just have 1 episode but then other days will have 4-5 episodes. It seemed that everytime I woke up last night the hiccups started! Im sure its completely normal i just completely panic myself sometimes!

I am also very, very excited and inpatient! :D.

Washing the moses basket bedding today as we go that second hand. Is everyone washing all of babys clothes before they wear them? xx

I think some people have washed the clothes, especially if they aren't new. I've washed some but not all, it's own preference really.

Just a random one. Does labour pain feel like period pain or is it more so down in your nunny!?

Xx

Hi pip, for me it was pretty much where you would expect to get labour pain. They didn't seem that worried about the cord and they were so speedy and reassuring hun it wasn't a massive issue! She was bigger than I thought she was going to be, I only had a little bump really and am only 5ft 4, chubby little arms :) hers not mine that is!

I've washed everything lol.... washer was on constantly for about 3 days haha.... thinks it's personal preference tho.

I thought that about the cord! I've asked at all my scans and the consultant has brushed it off saying it's something they wouldn't worry about?!? I beg to differ after these stories.

How are you today pip?

Xx

I'm very worried about cord issues .. My sister in law went to be induced 4 weekday ago .. Had epidural and got to 3cm . Lucky she was on montior .cord was around his next 3times and his heart beat stopped .. She was rushed for emergency c-section .. Sorry to scare anyone .. Xxx we will be fine x it mustn't be too common

I can't believe how much action we're starting to get, things are getting really real around here!

Good luck to those with signs! I'm hoping mine stays put until at least a week Saturday when I am 37 weeks.

I'm not washing my clothes, I'm leaving the tags on so that we can re-gift them if we don't end up using them. I have all neutral stuff but can see me wanting to buy all pink/blue when baby arrives plus we don't know what we'll be getting off people for gifts.

Loved reading the labour stories ladies :)

When my son was born, he had the cord around his neck twice. Heart rate dropped to 34 bpm and had to be resuscitated before whisked off to the special care baby unit. He had Group B Strep too though.

Ive washed the clothes that were either 2nd hand or up in the attic since my son was a baby but brand new clothes straight out the packet, I haven't bothered to wash.

Labour pain for me felt nothing like period cramps. It radiated over my entire bump and back. Didn't really feel it in my flu from what I can remember. Twas the sting and burn I can remember from in my flu - f****** ouch haha Also, contractions were worse than the actual pushing stage XD
The first lot of contractions for me took my breath away abit like BH but gradually got worse as labour progressed. I managed to go up to the hospital resturant and eat fish and chips whilst contracting and losing my waters at the start of labour last time lol :P

See MrsT, another 2 stories about the neck & cord!! We DO have something to worry about! I know there are enough drs etc to help but still!
I'm not too bad thank you, still got a headache so I suppose I'll have to take some paracetamol even though I've resented doing it all pregnancy! Feel abit woosey today but think that's just because of my BP. midwife again tomorrow so hoping it's gone down :)thank you for asking.

How are you & Dexter?

Having a baby is an amazing thing but my god, everyday is a worry and it's never going to go away! God help us!

Ahhh I see, I was unsure whether it was your privates that hurt or your actual tummy as such. I've had a realitivly easy pregnancy, so Sod's law it's going to be an awful labour!

Xx

Congrats to the ladies who have had their healthy bundles of joy!!!!

So MW said yesterday 1-4 weeks, today my cat has been unusually clingy, is this is a sign or am I reading too much into it?!?

Amazing stories girls Helen I can't wait till Sunday and we can say we are officially full term feels like days are really draggin x

Baby c you never know they do say cats sense these things!! One of my cats has been clingy all pregnancy.
I visited my friends baby today, she was the one born at 24 weeks. She would only have been 30+2 gestation today and was so so tiny, weighing only 2lb still. I feel all choked up just thinking about it.

Feel like a moan - hubby is offshore so I'm on my own with a 4 and 5 year old. I'm knackered, really sore and finding walking really painful due to pubic bone pain. Looks like hubby will be away for another 2 weeks so hope bub doesn't come early. Feel even more annoyed because his family haven't even bothered to come visit or see if I need help. My family are all in Australia so don't have anyone here. House is a tip and finding it hard to tidy up. Sorry for moaning.

Congrats to all the news mums and bubs that have arrived x

We really do! I'm going to continue with my monitoring seen as I've been offered it at least it's something to out my mind at rest. At least midwife is keeping an eye on you.

We are good thank you..... getting a lot of wriggles today!! Got midwife and monitoring tomorrow then back to Liverpool on Monday. Booked to go for a lovely meal tomorrow night.... gonna be our last proper date night before Dexter arrives so going to make the most of it..... hubby is excited for a massive steak!!!

Xx

This is the place to moan islemegan! When are you due? I feel for you not having any help, I bet it's so tough having a 4 and 5 year old. Maybe speak to your OH & tell him how your struggling. He may speak to his fambo & tell them to pull their fingers out an help you. Hope you feel better soon xx

Aww MrsT, lots of wriggles are fab, I actually think I'll miss them when baby is here! Least he is nice & active for you :) bit of a pain back and forth but at least your getting the monitoring you both need. Aww how lovely, no steak for you unless it's well done! I hope you both really enjoy yourselves

Xx

This is defiantly the place to have a good moan!

Had midwife visit today, little bean is 1/5 engaged but is all looking good so far.
She looked at the swelling of my little feeties and said it is severe but no signs of pre clampsia so thats all good. Just need to keep them moving and up in the air!
And then she told me again that im full term 2mz AHH!!

Hope everyones ok today xx

I'll really miss feeling him.... I love it!!

I hate steak so am lucky. I'm really looking forward to pate tho and have already asked that mum brings it in to the hospital to me for me first meal haha!!

Has anyone had any cravings?I haven't seen much on here if anyone has. Also I haven't had indigestion either.

Xx

Baby_C, with my last pregnancy and where I was living at the time (shared house) there was a proper scatty cat there. One day the cat came and sat on my lap and stayed there for ages! It only happened the once. I can't remember exactly how long after but it was within days that my waters went! Cat never came near me again... was so weird!

My bump has gone rock solid today. Not only when I have BH but in general. It feels so weird!

MrsT, iv not had any cravings as such... Tunnocks Tea Cakes and Pepsi Max have been more like my weaknesses x
