*******February mummies 2015*******

Random question I'm off to see midwife for 36 week appointment a few questions for u -
One - will she be able to give me estimated weight of baby?
Two - will birth plan be discussed or do I just do this myself?

Thanks in advance ladies xx

Jazz- massive congratulations!! Can't wait to see a pic and find out what name you've chosen!!
Rachel.. She won't be able to give an estimated weight- they can generally only do this from a scan (though they are notoriously inaccurate!)

Birth plans -depends on the midwife. I never discussed my birth plan first time round, and I've yet to talk abut it this time (different midwife). But tbh I didn't really feel the need to have a birth plan...my plan was to start off with no pain relief, and work my way up front here!!

Congratulations Jaz !!!!..... This makes everything sooo much more real. :D , theses babies are going to start making apearances .. :) , we've been a lucky month with no pre-term birth:

Great news, congrats Jazz! I hope you've had your cwtches now!

At parent craft class on Monday we were specifically told not to get the perfect prep machine, apparently there is uproar about it in the midwifery community and they are calling for it to be banned. I can't remember the exact ins and outs as I didn't really pay much attention as its not something that we've considered buying, if you are interested maybe speak to your midwife before buying it? It was something to do with the fact that the amount of hot water to powder and then the fact that the machine puts cold water in means that it couldn't possibly kill all of the bacteria. I do sometimes think they may exaggerate at these classes as they are trying to convince us to BF so obviously make your own mind up but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Ok, so 38 weeks today and im ready now. Changed my mind since yesterday lol. Second day in a row ive had to walk miles around the supermarket and drive everywhere and im absolutely exhaused. My legs look like balloons and my vagina bone (so sorry) is sore as hell. Plus my butt friend has returned because of the pressure of being on my feet for hours.

Sex, nipple tweaking, ball bouncing and everything inbetween will begin as of right now! XD

Oh flick, how can you be bothered with all the walking! You should try & rest!

I put the Moses stand together today, it took me ALL DAY! I must of put it together and took it apart so many times because I kept getting it wrong haha!!

Xx

I have horrific piles today ladies- something I hope none of you get near the end! I know it's pressure from baby moving down as they are worse than ever.
I cried for the first time in a really long time feeling sorry for myself when I started bleeding- really feeling sorry for myself and I would love baby to come soon! X

Flick yay get on with evicting that baby!
I'm getting some lovely Braxton hicks again this evening, ow!

Oh trust me I really couldn't but I thought all the extra movement will (hopefully!) Help get baby out more or less on time and not let me go over. Walking in asda for 2 hours again, no joke :( My mum's car has broken down and both she and my Nan needed shopping. Im the only other driver able. Its pants!

Selina, that's what I mean by my 'butt friend' lol TMI but a warm water gentle soak and sudocrem helps massively ive found!

BH are a horrible tease and should do one! Our OHs should get them instead since they don't actually do anything :P

Oh flick, im only 36+4 and cant wait to get the little one out lol!

Been having BH all day too. Kind of getting annoyed with them now x

Haha flick, my fanny Ben hurts loads too today!

I'm seriously nesting, today I've cleared out both my wardrobes, done 4 loads of washing and 2 baskets of ironing and now I've just cleaned the kitchen and set up my perfect prep machine and steriliser

New carpet down tomorrow, can't wait

Bless ya all god time is getting close gonna make front page look better as was on my phone this moring xx

Ok ladies...
A quick TMI question...
Do any of you feel the need to have a poop when just going for a wee?? But nothing!
But not when your just sat down on the couch for example.
Just when you sit on the loo x

Bricey, how? How!?? I have an increasing pile of washing in the basket and I know exactly what i should be doing but when im home sitting on my bum drinking tea and eating cookies is a much better idea. Geez going to the loo is effort!

Nici, yes, and then said friend pops out :( Ouchiiii!!!

Ha I don't know, I had a burst of energy today. Granted I did it all huffing, puffing and waddling! I think it's becUse I KNOW I've only got until Sat to get in order.

Zoe love the pink! Fyi it was the 20th :). Finally have her with me next to my bed and now too afraid to sleep!!

Hello ladies - jan mummy here!! I was going to set up a Jan Mummy and Baby thread and wondered if it would be a good idea to have a Jan/Feb Mummy & baby thread? If you guys would prefer to stay as feb mummies that's totally fine but wanted to hear your thoughts?

Not long to go now!!! Xxx

Jolly I'd def prefer a jan and feb mummies one as it makes it a bit more inclusive- when I had my first (3 years ago) we didn't do threads for each month so to me the bigger the better - plus for all the first time mums it'll be great as you January mums will have lots of advice!!
