*******February mummies 2015*******

Evening ladies,

Been for a mum to be treatment today, it was absolute heaven!

Brumgirl I think bump buddies just exchange numbers and then when your buddy goes into labour you can update on here for them as signal is rubbish in hospital.

Hope results were ok today MrsT - thinking of you xx

Also just in reference to this mornings discussion about OH drinking this close to due date - I spoke to him this evening and told him my concerns and he says he fully agrees and wont have more then a couple of drinks at the football tomorrow :-) :-)

As to bump buddy's I'm really Helens bump partner as I keep u lot updated :) xx

Excellent news mrs johnson :). Hope you got good news mrs t today! Just watched an episode of one born every minute.... mistake!

Rib pain, heartburn etc can decrease once baby has engaged and bump has dropped. First time mums usually have babies engage sooner than mums who already have children.

Gah, scary reading the post about OH being far away!
My hubby walks 50-60 mins to work so can't just jump in the car in an emergency. Thankfully my Mum is my other birth partner and is currently off of work so has the car ready to go. She's also insured on mine just incase.

This morning I packed my son's overnight bag ready to stay at my sisters. It's getting so close now, it's mad...

Hey girlies

On the subject of OHs drinking, mine is now not having a drop till baby arrives. We had a labour scare a couple of weeks ago and he was pretty pissed and he got a fright. We could easy have got a taxi to hospital but he really doesn't want to be drunk or hungover for the birth. Personally I wouldn't get in the car with anyone if they'd had even one drink, especially pregnant I just don't agree with it.

I've got acupuncture booked for today to try turn this breech monkey, if he or she doesn't move in the next 2 weeks I'm getting booked in for a section at 38 weeks which I'm totally gutted about although trying to keep things in perspective that as long as baby arrives safe and healthy that's the main thing xxx

I can tell baby keeps engaging then popping back out again the little madam. Yesterday I was walking like John Wayne but today my ribs hurt again. The joys!
Cosmo I hope baby turns for you, have you had acupuncture before?
Maybe we should make a list of everyone who wants a bump buddy and divide it up?!

Hey ladies...been a bit quiet this week as my sore tonsils and head on tues turned into a week of feeling rotten. My head was banging and everything felt fuzzy (obv my tonsils were affecting my ears). Now it turned into a lovely hacking cough and runny nose...just keep telling myself better to get it out of the way now before baby comes...my effort at bring positive!!

MrsT hope all went ok yesterday

Brice's...woo hoo to 37 weeks

Cosmo..def the right perspective to have. It may not be the birth you imagined, but as long as baby get here's safely, you'll soon forget about how he/she got here

Flick...I haven't even thought about a bag for my son...my mum and dad will have him so pretty convinced mum will be able to sort some stuff out for him!!

I finally went and got the last few bits for my hospital bag yesterday, so hoping to have it sort of packed at the end of the weekend. Stocked up on some mini toiletries from super drug, and bought a night from primark for labour, along with some big granny knickers for afterwards.. Great for holding in maternity pads and wobbly bits!!

Oooh good idea I'm up for being a birth buddy xxx

What is going on this morning??
I woke up to severe back ache but managed to dose of again for about 20 mins or so...
Now my little bean is going mental. Feels like he wants to get out like now!!
I duno what on earth is going on but he just doesnt feel right this morning.
Anyone else had this sort of activity around 36 weeks?? X

Becky, I hope you feel better soon :( Getting it out the way now is a good thing but it's still not nice. Hope you're getting lots of TLC too?

Blondy, I can feel this too! One day my bump is really low and I have pressure so bad down there I can hardly walk. Next day the top of my bump is rock solid and you can see where baby's butt is sticking out. I can sit with my legs crossed then too instead of presenting myself, legs wide open, man style :P Babes isn't 'in' atm. I can feel it under my right ribs!

Nici, could it be baby turning? Like, not vertically but horizontally if that makes sense? :/ So Babes may be head down but facing the other way now?

Hope you feel better soon Becky, nothing worse feeling so crappy!

I'm the same with the feeling down below one day and then up in the ribs another, I'm actually starting to get fed up of being preggers now. I wish I was one of those ladies who love it but I feel sooooo fat and unsexy! Every bloody move is an effort, clothes are becoming SO uncomfy!
Moan, moan, moan, moan!!!

Xx

Happy full term day Bricey! I'm 35 weeks today so another 2 weeks for me.

With the OH drinking thing we had this discussion a while back, being a typical welsh man he loves a drink with the six nations rugby but has agreed that it isn't a good idea to go out for them as I'm due bang in the middle of them! We have got a family thing at the end of this month which he will drink for, it is 3 weeks before my due date and there will be other family members around who aren't drinking so I'm not too worried about that. He won't get steaming drunk and if he gets a little tipsy me going into labour would likely sober him up as he is petrified! He is sure that he is going to faint!

Yep me too pip. I'll be brutally honest, while I am so excited to be a mum and can't wait to meet our little one finally, I have hated being pregnant and can't wait to have my body back (all be it not quite how I left it!)

Happy Birthday Bricey! Last one before your life changes forever. ..... For the good of course! Hope you have a lovely day.

Had the best day yesterday!!! After pestering the hospital they finally called at 2.30 and told me Dexters brain scan was totally normal!! Normal for his age no excess fluid, no tumours, no hemmorages!! Can't tell you after 2 weeks of shit news that was the most amazing phone call I've ever had in my life. Doesn't rule out the ts but at least if it was the case it hasn't affected his brain.

Jase went from not having any alcohol after the 1st January to now he might have a can when he gets in but that's all. I'm fine with that.... happy of no major benders lol.

I'm only 34 and half weeks but I'm loving being pregnant. ... I think it might be because I nearly had it all taken away 2 weeks ago so determined I'll enjoy it and make the most of it. Especially seen as I did want more but if it is ts then I think it'll be ruled out and this will be the last time.

Hope everyone's ok!!! Hope you feel better soon becky.

Xx

This pregnancy has gone too quick for me. Although saying that the horrible times at the beginning (bleeding on 3 seperate occasions, anxiety, malnutrition and anaemia) seem so far away. Im guna miss it more this time. I love being pregnant :) I can totally get why it's a pain though.
I'm 37+4 today... how??
