*******February mummies 2015*******

I'm more than happy to be bump buddies with someone, think it's a great idea! But good thinking about not being with someone who's at a similar time!

37 weeks today, such an achievement :) ready to have my body back now though! It is starting to get sooooo uncomfortable!

Mrsjohnson, thankfully James has got all his partying out of his system through December & over Christmas. He says he would never forgive himself if something happens & he has a belly full of alcohol haha! It may be worth speaking to him though and just explaining. Some men don't really understand the urgency until it's too late (I don't mean that to sound out of line in any way!)

My MW is crap, she tells me nothing. I'm going to quiz her today to find out how baby is lying. Think I'll cry if she tells me I'm breech!

Xx

Oh & I'll put pics on Facebook page rather than here. I'm still undecided whether to actually post any on my homepage thingy at all. Decisions!

Xx

My OH doesn't seem to get the drinking thing - I've told him I want him under the limit at all times now but he kinda forgets, or is out and can "see" labour is not iminent so has "just one more" last nights nct was a session for the girls and the boys got sent go the pub, he has two pints which was fine but then came home and poured a large glass of wine. Think he thinks drinks at home don't make u over the limit! He is even more relaxed now we are being induced - doesn't seem to understand it came come before then!!!

He has had his last big blow out tho!

Im glad im not the only one feeling like this. Our OHs sound very similar bricey. He doesn't seem to think there's any chance of me going into labour at all!! Hes going away for 2 nights at the start of feb with work and im absolutely dreading it, i know he cant help work things but it still fills me with fear xx

Hey ladies!
Just reading threw the past few days.

Glad everything's alright for now with you jynfer.
MrsT hope you get your results today and everythings ok.
Congrats Zoe and Helen, my sister wants to get married but is doing the whole white wedding thing in 2016, but she cant decide on a dress or a suit.

Whats this Facebook group? And can i be added? X

If my husband was selfish enough to keep drinking excessively this close to due date I'd go bonkers! 9 months without a drop and he couldn't go a handful of weeks... It's hardly fair and it's not like you're asking him to quit completely! Mine can't drive so I'm relying on my Mum to be sober lol
Anything could happen with Mum and Baby.. spontaneous labour, pre eclampsia etc god forbid anything actually happen but it's just not worth the risk this close :(

I agree, photos on FB instead of here. I didn't put any up of my son til he was older than a year and even now it's only a few shots watching him grow or tagged days out.

OMG 8 days, is that it?? :o Bloody hell. 18 days til I'm due *gulp* O.O

With my OH it isn't selfishness so much but niaivity - didn't seem to get that babies can come at anytime until I sat down and explained. We have both sets of parents in the same village so lifts aren't an issue but I explained that the hosp wouldn't let him in drunk and he would miss it. It's wierd as he is so level headed in every way but he has treated this as. 9month long stag do in the drinking sense!!

My OH doesn't drink much anyway unless it's a big night out which are few and far between now. But he deffo won't be having more than a couple of pints now it's getting to the point that baby could arrive. I just don't think its worth the risk especially with snow forecast, and like flick said we have gone 9 months so a few weeks isn't going to kill them!!
But yeah I totally get the naiveity thing, men haven't got a clue bless them.
MrsT thinking of you today, hope you get the results

Ah, i thought it was for driving, apologies :)

Last pregnancy I banned my OH from drinking completely :P I was 21, he 22 and we were enjoying the freedom of student life, going out, drinking etc as you do that young. I had to stop cold turkey so I said we'd have to do it together. I had a baileys and milk at new years (29w pregnant?) and he had a couple of ales but other than that he was pretty good. Ive been more lax this time round but then I couldn't drink because of my op, having Kai and we just cant afford it either. He knows now though that 1 bottle is plenty!

Ladies sorry just thread hopping! Thinking about the drinking but also Just a little warning about getting other half to stay as close as you can! My last pregnancy i allowed hubby to go to London (90 mins drive away) sailing at 38 weeks partly because I was sure that baby would be late and had no signs and felt well in the morning. And being 90 mins away I thought that was ok for first labour as I could phone him at first twinge! And it would be a few hours of warning etc.

Anyway my story was that I spoke to him at 12.30 lunchtime and was I was fine no signs etc. 15. 30pm I was in full pelt labour, tried to call hubby just got answer phone as he was on the water sailing .....thought He won't get my message till 5pm as that was the race finish time. So Got a friend to take me to hospital. Baby delivered at 18.11hrs hubby literally just made it after driving 100mph all the way back! I think baby waited for him!

So this time he isn't going anywhere...and needs to be able to get home in half hour!

Omg tiggy that has totally freaked me out!! My hubby is going to Birmingham (we currently live near newcastle)for 2 nights when im 38 weeks. Think we seriously need to plan how he will get back in a hurry if needs be as hes not even taking his car. Arghhhhh

I hope no one except flik beats me as want u all full term!! I'm full term tomorrow - on my birthday!

I'm sat trying to get the guts to start a whatsapp group for NCT group. We have exchanged a few emails and stuff but thought whatsapp group would be good for birth announcements but don't want them to think I'm a loser hahahahah

Just re packed baby bag. Scan showed he was 6lb11 on Tuesday - so it's like 1.5 weeks on from then, will up to 7.5lb clothes be too small? The next is up to 9.5 which seems big. Gah I think all hospitals should have a mothercare in them incase

Is anyone taking a TENS, I think I will, esp as induction is long and builds up - think it would work well

Im taking a tens! I was 37 weeks last monday too so I'm happy she can come whenever bricey!

Thanks for the warning tiggy!

Can't believe you'll more than likely be the first feb mummy bricey!

I don't think i'm going to bother with a TENS, the midwife an lady at antenatal class said they were fab to have but i'm not interested really.

Had my 37w MW appointment earlier, got HPB :( so got to go into the hospital on Sunday for a check up and then back to the clinic on Friday. It's been normal through the whole of my pregnancy but i thought it might increase towards the end.

Xx

look at all u lot talking full term so excited to see our baby on Monday find out more about birth too x

Not long til you'll be talking full term too Zoe! Are you going to any antenatal classes or anything?

X

I would like a birthing buddy too....how do we sort it out.

Plus defiantly photos on facebook not on here!!!

What are the thoughts on a TENS Machine? anyone used before?

Ladies who are further along - does the rib pain ease a bit when baby drops? The Constant pressure and pain is driving me mad! Only a month till due date, scary!

What does being a birth buddy involve?
