Is everyone using the sleeping bags for baby? Or is that something you use when they are out of their Moses basket!? Not sure whether we need to invest in one now or later and the best type of tog!? Sorry to be so blunt, just finalising afew bits :)

Morning ladies...

Just back from the mw and babies head is engaged! Woo! Its 4/5 apparently so a good start. Might explain the extra pressure ive been feeling down there recently. She said my bp was slightly elevated but not too concerned atm as no other symptoms to report.

Bought some raspberry leaf tea on the way home. Not sure how much you are supposed to drink, is it just 1 cup per day?

Pip we have a sleeping bag for when they move into the cot but planned on just using blankets in moses basket. Im not sure if this is correct though so will be interested to see what others recommend

All the time baby is in the moses basket I'm just using a blanket to swaddle him/her. When Babes learns to roll and is moved into the cot (about 3-4m) I'll be switching to a light weight sleeping bag. It'll be summer then too.
Remember when you buy to get the appropriate tog and size for how old baby will be. I know its obvious but I've watched people go crazy buying stuff in the sale not remembering this.. Summer weight dresses in sizes for winter?? Lol ^-^

Raspberry leaf tea "rules" are so varied and confusing!! This is what I read from last time and have followed (ish) this time too...
32 weeks - 1 cup
34 weeks - 2 cups
36 weeks - 3 cups
38 weeks - 4 cups
I have no idea what is right or not right but this is what ive been trying to do x

I feel moses basket is too "tight" for a sleep bag like they might over heat, we are using a crib at night though so have one sleeping bag but don't think I can use that for a few weeks until he is big enough, so im starting off with cellular blankets

I'm not on the facebook page! Can other people not in the group see you are on it?

I have about 10 baby nighty type baby grow things that have no legs in for first month or so. You just put vest under and then you can roll up bottom for a tired nappy change!! I'll be using blankets in Moses basket I think at first but do have a few grow bags too.
I do think it's worth getting some of the nighty type things though as it saves all the poppers in the night! X

Well we just been given 5 massive bGs of clothes much gonna keep us stocked up fpr 3 months as her little one is almost 4 months x

So I had my 37 week consultant appt today I have been booked in for induction at 39 weeks exactly which is 27th jan.
Whilst at my appt I mentioned that I can pick up an irregular heartbeat on my doppler at home so she listened and agreed then got the mobile ultrasound machine and had a look then sent me to my hosp to have his heartbeat monitored.
They said it's called ectopic heartbeat and 9 out of 10 babies it corrects itself after birth. Because it was very obvious on the trace I have been referred to kings hospital for a special heart scan.
I will be monitored throughout my labour now too and he will need to be checked after the birth.
Feeling a little numb at the moment about it all as although the outcome is most likely to be good someone still has to be the 1 in the 10 and that terrifies me.

Could you please add me to the facebook group my facebook name is Jennifer Elliott xx

Sorry I haven't been on for a while.

I hope you and Helen are having a lovely day zoe and enjoying your celebratory meal.

Mrs T and Jnyfer, I wish you both the best of luck, I really do hope that everything is okay.

I had my parent craft class about breast feeding yesterday which was great, really informative and interesting. The self latching sounds great and I hope that me and baby manage it!

What if you guys think of using the carrycot attachment on the pushchair instead of Moses basket/crib? I seem to be getting mixed responses!

I'm not on the Facebook page either.

Jenny...glad to h ear that you're being looked after with regard to babies heartbeat. I won't deny that it's hard not to worry, but at least it's something they've picked up on now (with the help of you)

Baby C... I used to use the carrycot part of my pram for Harry's naps when I was at my mums (to save transporting stuff to their house). It's def not an issue for naps. If you were thinking about using it for overnight sleeping, you might want o look at investing in a better mattress for it, as they tend to be a bit thin in the carrycots.

But go with what suits you and baby...no one ever has the right answer Asa. Mum, you just have to have a bit of trial and error, and do what suits you xx

I will add u both Jennifer which one are u on photo fb page

I can't imagine what ur going through ...thinking of you....
we have our growth scan on Monday and find out if we are getting induced early or not

Babyc what's ur name if u don't want it on ere inbox me xx

Hmmm I'm on hubby's iPad so not sure, think it is me with my bridesmaids in green dresses

Jnyfer. ..... that's part of what Dexter has but he has the growth that is causing his so take me as the 1 in 10 surely this group can't be that unfortunate that there's two of us in it!

Xx

MrsT and Jnyfer thinking of you both!
